Wow! Nothing less than breathless performance from this wonderful SD card. Those of you who know your onions will know that I have just insulted this amazing SD card for it is not just a lowly SD card but an SD HC Card which again the aficionados among you will recognise to be a ‘Secure Digital High Capacity’ card. The original SD cards are those that went up to 2Gbytes. Those above 4 GBytes are known as HC devices, with the XC reserved for those above 64GB.The fun does not stop there, however, as this is an SDHC Class 10 card. This denotes the speed of the card at transferring data. The 10 which transfers data at 10 MB per second (or faster) is faster than the class 2, which only manages a lowly 2 MB per second. This card in fact manages 45 MB/s.Then we have the ‘I’ which denotes something about an upgrade to the bus design for SDHC cards and stands for UHS-I or ‘Ultra High Speed – Phase I. Once again, this upgrade to the SD standard denotes higher performance. There is also a UHS-II, but I suspect things on this front are getting ahead of themselves a little and I wonder if in day to day usage one would see any difference? This being so, what does this mean in real world tests? I tried the card in my humble Canon Ixus 860 and both card and camera were happy to talk to each other. It also told me that it would manage at least 9999 shots! Whilst I cannot attest to this, I should imagine it will take a long time, under normal conditions with such a humble camera, to fill such a card. I then moved on to my Panasonic Full HD video camera, which has the SD/HC logo emblazoned on the side. This told me that it would allow for at least 5 hours worth of recording all in full HD format. The other point was the speed of the data transfer, which seemed instantaneous with neither hesitation nor delay.I appreciate that these days there is a lot of hardware out there, even the humble mobile phone that can manage some pretty high quality and therefore memory hungry capabilities. This wonderful SDHC card seems more than happy to function among such lofty devices. I remember, too, my first Amstrad home computer, which had those 5¼ inch floppies, which had the capacity of 512K, and one would have to swap them in and out to get some programmes to run. Seems like a long time ago! Always remember to back up your data, 32Gigs seems a lot to lose! Many thanks.

This Kingston 32GB SDHC UHS 1 Class 10 Card comes blister packed without a case and claims a transfer speed of 45MB/s. I tested this card in a DSLR (a Nikon D7100) and Panasonic TZ70 pocket travel camera. In both cases the performance is excellent on both stills and HD movies. In addition, given my frequent use of burst mode to capture subjects like Kingfishers the card also copes very well.To me, the 32GB size represents the optimum size for capacity versus resilience to disaster. Yes, you can get more capacious cards but I'd rather have my holiday stills/videos spread across 3 or 4 cards 32GB rather than one high capacity card just in case - even the very best cards can fail.I tested this Kingston card using some benchmarking software and found the speed of 45Mb/s is realistic - in fact, the card benchmarked slightly higher at speeds up to 50MB/s during a couple tests. Both the theoretical performance and practical performance in the field lead me to the conclusion that this is a card with an excellent performance/price ratio. In addition, the card is proofed against temperature, shock, X-Rays, water etc. and comes with a lifetime warranty. Recommended.

The first gigabyte drive I ever touched was in 1991. I was a massive, full-height 5 ¼ inch beast. Why would anyone ever want so much storage I wondered? This was in the air-conditioned dedicated computer room whose global business was in automated answering of phone calls. Their entire business was on this one drive. The backup regime was militarian and split across several employees who lived far away from each other - just in case of natural disaster. Now, to be able to buy 64 GB of storage on something the size of a finger nail for less than 15p /GB suddenly makes me feel like an old relic! The read speed easily exceeds the spec but writing struggles to meet the spec.I bought three to put my entire DVD and Blue-ray collection on them - around 150 movies - so I won't worry about writing speed from now on and will have all the greatest films ever made with me wherever I am just in a few grams.A lifetime guarantee from Kingston adds more value than is decent at this price.

I bought this for my Fuji XT1, for an upcoming trip to Kenya. I don't want to take a laptop with me, and have to transfer images every day, so the idea is that I'll put all the images on one card and transfer them when I get home. This is a potentially risky strategy, of course, and if the card fails I'll modify the review!!This card is very good value, and holds a lot of images (I should get about 2,000 raw files on here, I think). The reason it's not 5 stars is because it's not as fast as it could be, especially when compared with similarly specced Sandisk cards (which are, admittedly, a lot more money). When doing bursts of images (even relatively short sequences at a lower framerate)it sometimes stutters to keep up. If you're a photographer who likes using the 'rapid fire' modes, this probably isn't for you, but otherwise it's a good solid performer.

This card comes blister-packed with no case of its own which is a little frustrating as all my other memory cards have come with their own case (handy for big trips or occasions when I always pack multiple cards). That said, this is a great quality card especially for the price. The transfer speed is slightly higher than my other cards but only fractionally. Still it's fine for my needs. I'm not a professional photographer and simply want to have a reliable card when out enjoying my hobby. It performs well on continuous shoots or when filming video. I'm pleased with the high quality image captured across a range of settings and after a month of 150+ photos a day,I'm not getting any read or write errors. It's a good capacity card for most of my needs like trips or big occasions and handles a mix of high quality images and video well.

The advent of HD Video on many SLR cameras means that there is a need for SD Cards which can cope with high speed transfer of lots of data. I've encountered problems in the past when the video recording has simply stopped part way though and the reason had almost invariably been that the transfer rate to the memory card was in excess of the card's capacity. No such problem with this card. Recording HD video on a Sony Digital SLR presented no difficulty and the hard was clearly able to cope with the high capacity transfer rate which was needed. For more routine tasks such as digital photography (i.e. still shots) this is also excellent. And it will hold a lot of pictures.

I have been using Kingston SDHC cards of one sort or another for several years now and have never had a problem with them. It is early days with this card but there is nothing to suggest it won't perform to the same standard as the others. Image transfer from camera to laptop is very speedy (as a result of the UHS-I). Even shooting in RAW format the card has plenty of capacity. I don't shoot much video so can't really comment on performance compared with other brands of card. However for DSLR photos I have no complaints. The absence of a card carrier doesn't bother me at all (I have several card holders in my camera gear).

Seems to be working well. I appear to be able to access 116GB of the 128GB stated capacity which seems about right based on the percentage I have seen from other cards. When I tested it, the program with h2testw it reported 61.9MB/s read speed against the 45MB/s stated. It also reported a 20.4MB/s write speed. My laptop has a solid state disk drive which is quiet and robust but not amazingly large, so I us an SD card to store my files. This 128GB card replaces my previous 64GB card that was getting full and also allowed me to put all my files on the card rather than having some on the laptop too.

Kingston have made great cards and memory since the year dot. They are not a flashy company, as evidenced by this card which couldn't look more boring, but is a great performer for a modest price.the new UHS (ultra high speed) coding is gradually replacing the old "class" speed rating - this is UHS 1 - they go up to UHS 3 currently. This has sufficient umph to use for HD video which is probably the most you'd need currentlyall in all a decent price for a fast card from a reliable manufacturer.NB - plenty of fakes about so beware marketplace purchases

Kingston have been one of my go-to card brands for some time, whether getting them for digital cameras, smartphones, mp3 players or other home electronics. (I remember buying a 512Mb card!!)This works simply in my (canon) camera and there is a fast and clean transfer to my home pc when I download the pictures. To my mind this is a top end SD card from a trusted manufacturer and I really don't think you can go wrong. You may pay a little more, but it is better than worrying about inferior products losing or corrupting irreplaceable memories!

I use this flash card with my 3DS XL without any issues. The card is fast to write to when using with my laptop, the only thing limitting the card with the 3DS is the slow CPU within the console.Kingston have always been a decent brand, I will happily buy one of their class 10 cards again knowing that it will last a long time without degrading or presenting file system corruption.

Arrives in the plastic packaging but no little case to keep it in which accounts for the 4 stars not 5 because otherwise a great memory card. It allows me nearly 1000 pictures at raw quality or 4500 at 15 megapixel setting! Nearly enough for a week or so holiday abroad. Good quality photos easily transferred to laptop, fits in most laptop slots or you can get card readers easily.

Purchased this and plugged it straight into my girlfriend's Nikon D3300, replacing the 32 GB SD card we had in it previously. I estimate that we can get about 16,000-20,000 photos on the SD card (!!!). It worked immediately - we just had to use the camera menu to format the SD card. Took a few seconds, really, and it worked straight away. Stunned, really.

I purchased this 64 GB memory card for a new Sony camera. It came in a small plastic case which is useful for storage when not in use. The memory card is easy to fit as it can only be inserted one way due to its shape and configuration. The camera recognised it straight away and it has worked perfectly.
