I purchased this train set for my 4 year old sons birthday. He had a small set that came from tescos and we have a few bigjigs and brio pieces already - but we were after something with a bit more to do, think about rather than just running a train along a track with trees around it.This set on quick inspection did impress me. What initially attracted me to it was that 1. It's in a container and therefore can be stored 2. There are trains as well as construction vehicles and 3 it's a construction site with a crane and is very different in that most train sets like these are travel oriented and do not explore many other uses of trains.I expected the box and the lid hill to be really flimsy - but it's surprised me and is actually very robust.The track is all compatible with all of the other major brands - worked with our tescos track, bigjigs, brio and thomas trains. The track is all good quality. No issues there. It is worth noting however that the track that is ascending / defending and single track that splits in two directions is the ball connection at the top rather than the wood circle slot. This ball seems robust and connects and disconnects well but the ball end is known with wooden sets to come off. These seem pretty strong, but it's worth mentioning.There is a wide variety of accessories but one thing I do not like about the tracks is once it's all set up my son is not fussed about the trees or signs and they stay in the box and it seems a terrible waste - this isn't the first and no doubt will not be the last to say a sets got an impressive number piece set an the majority is trees and signs. The accessories aren't bad - but they are plastic. The wooden accessories like people and buildings the paint can be a but wonky and not centered but that's really the only way I can fault them - otherwise they're good quality.One issue that I have come across is that the lid is not very diverse with what track goes in it. A regular piece of track with the wooden circle will not go into the female end of the top plastic track and only the wooden ball top will go in. The male end fits fine in any of them. If forced I think you could damage the lid or track - my son would force it which is why I notice it. The lid I think would break if stood on with the right weight on it. My son stood on the corner and no issues, but I imagine if he steppe higher he would break it.The crane is good - basically works by turning a handle with a spinning dowel that a string wraps around. Simple, but having the crane adds to play. Good selection of trains and construction related materials.Everything when you first get the set makes it look like it will be impossible to get everything back into the container but if you put it away somewhat organized you could actually get more in.At the full price I wouldn't buy it, but we got it for £40 which at that price I feel it is maybe a little overpriced, but considering with delivery it's not bad. I would recommend to anyone looking for a diverse, good sized train track. I do not feel it would be ideal for someone with a lack of space. Our lounge is a pretty good size and it takes up a good chunk of the available floor space. Overall my son loves it and it's been great fun. Minor negative details, but still worth purchasing.

My little one live this set. Very interesting and enjoyable. But as people before told is is hard to put some details together. You can put them or use wax , just need a little time. We had a lot of raylway sets from different companies. But it is the first time when I have this issue. But generally I like this set. And it is useful that it is in the box

Exactly how you see it, is how you receive it, well packaged and the construction set is wonderful, with the fact that you can place all back within the bucket after play use, saving a lot of space also.
