I adore Joy, but always purchase the black bottle as 1), it brings back memories of the first bottle i had given to me in 1968. A boyfriend of mine got to know that my sister had a small bottle of the actual perfume given to her & that's when i fell in love with Joy but couldn't afford to buy even the EDP til a few years ago anyway the then boyfriend turned up on his scooter a week later & handed me a bag. He'd seen a bottle of Joy on his mum's dressing table - apparently amongst the dozen & a half other perfumes - & decided his mum wouldn't miss it. It was the perfume, & it was now mine!!! Naughty boy.I bought this EDP from Amazon a couple of weeks ago to send to my sister for Christmas,

Bought this as part of my mum's Christmas present. Box arrived in perfect condition and on time. Difficult to write a meaningful review of an Internet purchase of perfume because you really have to sample the product to know if it is what you hoped for. Getting a sample of Joy isn't easy, compared to its direct competitor - Chanel No.5 - but that exclusivity and praise heaped on the product convinced me to jump in. Mum was absolutely delighted (she even liked the bottle!) and the smell...it's exquisite! Different from No.5 but equally classy. About 10mins after mum sprayed it on, it calmed down into a subtle fragrance that lasted the whole of Christmas Day. You have made my mum and me very happy,

JOY is iconic, extraordinary, and timeless created in 1929. It contains jasmine and roses and is intense and luscious, a very alluring and feminine floral composition, JOY was created by Henri Alméras and the perfume starts with fragrant jilt tuberose, luscious rose, ylang-ylang blossom, aldehydes, sweet pear, and green notes. This creates a lasting fragrance with fresh jasmine notes, spicy iris root, while the base notes are sensual musk and warm sandalwood. It has that certain type of Rose fragrance that I love, being of the great big red variety where the scent is deep, sweet, spicy and jammy all at once. The eau de parfum version of Joy is perfect. I love this scent. It smells just like flowers, rather than chemicals. It reminds me of a mixture of freesias, jasmine and old fashioned roses....rather like a garden smells in the late spring just after a shower when all the flowers are dewy and highly scented.The smell lingers all day too. After driving my car people can smell the scent inside when they step into it, and say how beautiful it is...just like a bouquet of highly scented flowers. Wonderful

I used to have this perfume in my early 20's only bought it once as for me then it was so expensive! For many years could never find it in the shops, now again I have it and it is every bit joyous as I remember it! Bought 2 bottles as my friend had the same experience of me and now she is delighted to have it again.

Well I’d seen other people’s commnets about the box and I can confirm that my perfume came in a oversized box that didn’t seem to have been made for the perfume. However the perfume itself is an original and it smells just as good as I remember it. Arrived promptly as well.

I have used Joy for some years, it has long been a favourite of mine. In the past I have shopped locally for it but now handicapped I have had to find other sources This site has proved very good with a fast delivery and excellent packaging. So one more problem solved!

This is a fragrance that evokes a bygone era but it is still just as desirable today as it was when first formulated. Perfect for evening as well as day wear, its subtle notes are best suited to stylish, sophisticated wearers.Beautifully packaged.

This perfume is so lovely it is my absolute favourite and my first 'grown up' perfume. I bought this for the first time in the south of France when I was 16 in 1979 and I have loved it ever since. The perfume arrived on time and was well packaged

This is my third purchase of joy from this sellerthe product is perfect and it is rarely sold in shops now,I have used joy for 30 years and have found no other perfume toSurpass the fragrance,

This perfume is a timeless classic. Delicate, light yet pervasive and long-lasting, I wore this for my recent wedding and it has since become a firm favourite. I wouldn't be without it now.

Bought for my wife who had never heard of this perfumer. She appears to like it and I certainly appreciate the fragrance. It is a powerful, complex perfume so a lit5le goes a long way.

A gorgeous scent. Vibrant on first application then settles into a gentle, lingering fragrance. Just the thing for those who don't like their signature scent to be overpowering.

Present for my Mums 90th Birthday. As a child she told me it was the most expensive perfume in the world. So I bought it for her ( not expensive) we were both very happy.

What’s to dislike?I can’t find it in John Lewis anymore, my nearest department store.I love this fragrance, so pleased I found it on Amazon, at a great price too.
