If you are on a budget, this CPU is great for you! Here are my some inputs for this product:-It is hyperthreaded!-It hasn't been on the market long, and no one really sees the performance of this CPU, but it runs really great benchmarks. (sites like canyourunit doesn't pick up this CPU as being a strong CPU, so it has a 23 percentile rating in their system, but I can tell, pairing it up with a GTX 1060 will allow you to play most, of not all, games on 2k resolution Med/High/ Ultra)-Do not make a rookie mistake as Carlos mentioned, please do some research and see if the BIOS for the motherboard is supported by this CPU. Again, it is still pretty recent, but I would make sure that your motherboard supports: LGA 1151 (of course),Supports 7th Gen Intel Processors (Kaby Lake), and Intel 200/1001 Chipset Compatability. I bought an ASUS B150M-PLUS D3, and no matter what troubleshooting I did, it would not POST. I then returned it for an ASRock B250M Pro4, and it worked like a charm. You don't want your first PC build to be as frustrating as mine haha.-Over all, VERY great price for a CPU at a budget build! it runs just as good as an i3 Core Processor, but again, it's quiet new on the market, so this CPU hasn't been quite popular - yet.

Great processor for the money. Came with cooling fan and what i assumed was a kind of thermal paste already on the heat sink. Paired with an Asus H110M-A mobo, it booted up fine. The mobo says for use with 6th gen, but the one i got works with 7th gen aswell. If you're unsure, call the manufacturer to confirm.Great upgrade for my rig and fits perfectly in a sub-$600 budget gaming rig. Picked up a GTX 1060 3GB, 8GB RAM, Samsung SSD, and 450w PSU and can run new games like BF1 on medium settings flawlessly. Not bad for a build on a budget.

Bought for a simple economic Hometheather PC (simple HD content) .The last one was an AMD build. It was an awful experience. Really unreliable. Like way too much.Intel is really expensive for the easy and affordable that technology is nowadays. An iCore processor was too expensive for just playing some Netflix and other online streaming videos. But a friend recommended me the Pentium series. I forgot about them after the P4's. Pentiums are not dead and they're still really reliable!

It's great. Very stable and running all the normal office/internet applications at optimal speeds.Did a budget gaming rig for my girlfriend and she doesn't even need a dedicated GPU to run what she needs right now.She plays strategy/sim type games so obviously it's not running Doom 2016 or anything but it's perfect for what she needs. If you wanted to play some modern 3D games throw a GPU in, but you would be surprised what a modern dual core w/ integrated graphics engine can do.

The great deals on the G4560 seem like they're gone so this is the next best thing. This is basically a budget core i3 since it has hyper threading. Using this in a FreeNAS build with Plex, works great and can handle multiple 1080 streams being transcoded without a hitch. Just make sure any 100 series motherboards are flashed to the latest bios otherwise it won't post. IMO if you want to avoid the hassle of returning a motherboard just spend a few extra bucks for the H270 chipset.

Brand new chip. Was a little on the cautious side but for this price I was willing to take the risk. I'm glad I did. I paired this up with 8gb of ram, MSI Bazooka mobo and 1050 ti. Running GTA V on very high with no frame drops. Forza 6 on high no drops. One of the great things I've noticed after switching from the stock heatsink to $17 cooler was that this chip doesn't run very hot at all. No matter the load

Great performance for the price. Pair this little guy with a GTX 1060 and you'll be golden. However, be careful as anything over a GTX 1060 GPU your CPU will bottle neck your rig.I recommend a non-windowed cased if you aren't upgrading the stock cooler as it's not that pretty.

Debated between this Pentium G4600 and the i3. We do a ton of heavy lifting in stats/math modeling... and this thing is plenty fast. Frankly, the smartest thing we did was to spend the difference on a solid state hard drive. Installed on an MSI 250 motherboard, life is good!

I'm not disappointed with this processor as a choice for my first custom gaming pc (Budget Build). I paired this with a 1050ti graphics card and a B250M motherboard (and only 8GB RAM). I'm playing some popular games at high and ultra settings achieving 60 fps at 1080p.

Great budget processor. Was looking for the G4560 which is supposed to be cheaper but out of stock almost everywhere. The few places that had it jacked the price up more that this 4600. The 4600 is only slightly faster but has a better graphics package. Very pleased.

I liked the idea of this processor as a budget one, but still haven't used it. I after doing more research and finding out about Intel's 8th Gen line up you can get such better processors for only slightly more... I mean like a lot better.

Bought it for a mining motherboard with 6 PCIe slots as crypto mining uses GPU. It comes with fan and pre-pasted thermal compound. The price was good for a low power CPU with good performance (Windows 10).

no problems with this CPU so far. i put it in a Small form factor (node 202) case with a MSI B250 mother board. Works great. Has been running constantly for months with just the default cooler. no issues.

Even after two hours of AIDA64's stress test, core temperatures never rose above 52 degrees C with the stock cooler with the fan speed never even ramping up to 40% on my motherboard's monitoring software.

Snappy as heck for my moms office build. The CPU cooler is of course ugly as sin, but there's no overclocking this chip anyways. Aesthetically not so appealing, but quiet as can be for a stock cooler.
