(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I fell in love with the black/white Justin Brice Guariglia print of this, but it was only available in this men's style. I, however, am a woman. I'm on the tall side and have broad shoulders, so I thought I'd take a chance on this in a size S. It did not fit. The shoulders aligned but the sleeves were super long and the cut of the hood and neck were too weird on me. The fabric and print, in person, are so great that I thought about keeping it anyway, even getting some alterations done, but ended up sending it back. Which is a shame, because everything about this hoodie is tops. If you are a man, buy it. If you are a woman,

Yes, it’s a lot to spend on a hoodie, but everything about this product is great. I’ve only had this piece for a week but can confirm the high overall quality. The RealFleece adds lovely warmth and weight. Comfy under a GoreTex hardshell for light activity down to -5 celsius or so. If your house / office is well-heated then probably too warm for indoors. The hood is fitted but you can still easily pull it over a ball cap if you like. The fit (medium) is true. Not tight, not loose, just right over a t-shirt. I am 5’11 + 170lbs and wear medium in everything. The sleeves are maybe a tad long, but this is probably a good thing for outdoor activities like skiing or climbing. The colour (nightfall)

This is a medium / heavy jacket. Zip quality is good (an issue with Icebreaker clothes I have had in the past) and the added Lycra makes this a very snug fit.Unlike the lightweight version of this I bought earlier in the year, this jacket is the right length - an odd thing to note, but the Mt Elliot Long Sleeve Zip is stupidly long in the body; this seems proportionally correct.To note, I am not sure I am really Icebreaker 'model' proportions - 6ft 1, weight train, so while I am a 32 waist, i have a 46" chest so getting tops to fit is tough; I could probably have done with a size between Large and XL here, but as it is I'd rather have the snug Large to wear under a waterproof outer than a baggier XL that would crumple under another layer.As with all the current Icebreaker range,

This hoodie has become my winter best friend. It's comfort and breathability makes it my favorite sweater to wear in the apartment on long winter days. And it's superior insulating functionality makes it my best mid-layer for this years intense snow storms. The cold in Vancouver is not impressive when viewed on a thermometer but the damp air trapped between the mountains and the ocean make the northwest cold penetrate deep into your bones. Moreover, the effective temperature can fluctuate radically hour by hour. It is crucial to layer in these conditions. The heavy weight cashmere wool of this Icebreaker hoodie is perhaps the warmest but most definitely the least bulky of all my layering pieces.

I'm already an Icebreaker customer and know about the quality of their products which are excellent in my opinion.I was looking for a hooded vest that was not too loose and had a nice print or color combination and I found all of that in the 'Elemental'. My only concern for this vest was choosing the right size so I went for the size selector from Icebreaker. The result was that I had to go for size L which I thought might be too big for me since my other products I have from them is size M. Luckily they have the measurements of the model wearing the garment also listed below their product and it as very comparable to my posture. The vest fits me perfectly, is very comfortable,

As always with Icebreaker the material feels really nice. I have been wearing IB from about 25-30 ago when I bought my first product in New Zealand. Within days I bought more. The biggest small critic I have is the design of things. That is boring most of the time. RThis hoody however is different. Looks really fun, though bit military, which I am not a huge fan of. However. In spite of my hesitance I bought it. Now I am wearing it at least 4-5 times a week when I go out (Corona limits). It sits good, the material as usual is really nice and warm. For a tall person the length in this case is long enough, even slightly longer so it covers you when you run and sit as well. A tiny bit longer wouldn't be bad though.

As an outdoor enthusist embarking on an adventure to Maine's Acadia NP to hike the Fall colors, I was shopping for a layer that would be versatile for Fall weather, be my favorite layer, and make me look clean and somewhat stylish for airplane travel. The moment I put it on in the store, I knew it wasn't coming off. I am athletically toned and like my clothes to give me a hug. This weight and fit was perfect. I packed multiple sweaters for my trip and promised myself to wear different things, mainly not to wear it out too soon, but this hoodie with a front zipper is just too versatile when traveling. As for the value, right now it is totally worth it, but I wonder about the longevity.

I'd normally choose black, but went for nightfall (dark green/blue) for something a little different, whilst not being too far out of my comfort zone.I'm 6'1" & 75kg and always go for medium in Icebreaker. The sleeves and body are quite long compared to other items, so I'd say this fits on the larger side of medium. Having said that, I wouldn't go for small.I'd rather not have a hood, but didn't want the sleeves with thumbholes on the hoodless version as, ironically, I thought they'd be too long.Very comfortable and warm over an IB base layer (or two). It's certainly much warmer than the Descender,

This is my fourth icebreaker hoodie, and doesn't disappoint. It's warm, looks great and goes for days and days without needing a wash. The fit of the hood is excellent - quite close to the head rather than a more baggy fit which lets the cold wind in. While it is undoubtedly a five star purchase, it doesn't quite dislodge the quantum hoodie as my favourite for two reasons. The first is that the heavier fabric means it doesn't quite fit as well as the quantum, and the second is that the weight and warmth are such that I wear it less than the quantum. The quantum seems perfect for 8 months of the year in the UK, whereas I only reach for the elemental for the coldest three months,

The Elemental is warm and soft. That last attribute is particularly nice as it feels ultra pleasant when wearing it. It feels almost like cashmere, but with the advantage of superior durability. In Elemental, Icebreaker has achieved a "gold" balance between weight & structure that result in that nice feeling coupled with practicality.My only note, and maybe disagreement with Icebreaker, is the fit characterization. I find the fit in between Regular and Slim. The sleeves are definitely Slim. You don't change your regular sizing, but when ordering on line, just keep that in mind. All in all, this is an excellent hoody, if one can afford its price.

The comfort, softness, and warmth this hoodie provides is why I've been wearing it pretty much everyday so far this winter. The light fleece brush on the inside combined with the little bit of lycra stretch make this piece fairly unique. I feel like it's great to wear outside or even lounging around the house. The hood fits fairly snug, in a good way. Overall though, what makes this hoodie are the cuffs-- just the soft, almost thick, comfort and insulation they provide is the difference-maker. It's nice to see a 320-weight fleece back in the mix, and this one is certainly one I'll be wearing anytime the temperatures begin to drop.

Usually when I wanted a warm jacket for a cool evening, I would grab a light down jacket. But this is now my favourite. A very warm full zip up for its weight, and you have complete range of movement like in a woollen sweater. The outside looks like a standard merino knit but the inside is a brushed fleece-like finish. The great thing is that fleece does not compacted down after a few wash like synthetic materials, so it is still nice and puffy. It’s also easier to care for than down. This jacket is very soft to the touch and I believe my wife has been asking for hugs more when I’m wearing it!

Overall a really nice top - but after first use / wash the top started pilling. I'm not sure if this is a sign of the top not lasting very long. As a tall person I would say that the L (Large) version of this top is a little short in arms and torso - but I recognise I have long arms. I bought this to essentially replace an icebreaker 320 top which I have had for 10+ years. The old top had started to fray at the sleeves (thumb holes) in the past few years. If the new top last 10+ years then that will justify the higher cost, but only time will tell if the top lasts as long as I hope...

As soon as I ripped it out of its packaging and put it on, I loved it. So comfortable and warm, also very stylish. Many of my friends have commented on how great it looks but do they realise what’s inside? Well, it’s a soft brushed wool finish (like some of the lighter icebreakers) that is incredible at trapping in warm air and while still breathing naturally. The cut is great and the hood fits perfectly. This is the best heavyweight jumper icebreaker has made yet and hopefully not the last. I can’t wait to buy the next colour or design!!Get one you’ll love it!

Having wore this hoodie a few time this winter, found it to be soft and comfortable. However, I find the sizing to be on the slim fit side. I am 170cm tall and weighs 64kg wearing size S and the sleeve is kind of long for my arms. The hood is disappointing though, could have design it bigger and thicker like the rest of the hoodie rather than small and tight. I have owned other ice breaker products and found this elemental hoodie to be well made but not exceptional. I expected it to be warmer given that it was advertised as heavy weight hoodie.
