If you like technical/slim fit then this is the one for you. This replaced my over ten-years-old quantum hoodie which is now very worn...it went with me on many adventures near and far...The lighter grey colour kept selling out but I finally got one. This colour is very nice and versatile. I'm lean 5'10"/145lbs. and the 'small' is my size. The quantum hoodies have always been a more technical piece with a slim-fitting, performance fit. The arms and torso are longer, which I love because they don't ride up when you are riding, climbing, reaching etc. I prefer garments to be a bit longer in general so I really like this cut/fit.

This is incredible comfort, high in quality. I wanted something comfortable to travel with, with zippered pockets for my documents, as well as to lounge around the house, or go outside with a light layer or under my leather jacket.Perfect comfort under the armpits, long sleeves that aren’t too bulky, And the back goes down long enough not to pull up when you bend over. The hood also comes down snug over the forehead and ears which is great during a run to keep the wind out.Very well designed for style and comfort!I’m loving it, and looking forward to years of enjoying this!

I think the top is so nice that I bought it thriceI have had one top for 3 years, and treated myself to another two in recent BOGO 50% sale. I find that they adapt perfectly to all climates. I walked the Spanish Camino de Santiago with it because chilly mornings would flip to scorching sunny days. It is also the first thing I grab in 3 of Canada’s seasons (excluding summer). They are very durable and last forever if you treat them well. I am a bigger guy and find that they fit a bit snug but still comfortable

I bought this zipped hoodie after years of using polyester based fleeces which not only contribute to the climate emergency but also smell pretty bad after every single activity. And what a change it was. Merino feels great, is very warm and usually it’s enough to just air it even after a proper sweaty run. The overall cut is really good and I love the cosy hood. It’s not the cheapest hoodie out there, but with this quality I’m expecting it will last, so consider my money well spent.

If you are buying this online, I would strongly suggest getting two sizes to try on because the sizing is a bit odd. I am 5'11 and 180 lbs with a normal build and I wear medium in everything Icebreaker. In this case, the small actually fit better than the medium in length, but was a bit tight across the chest. If you want a more technical piece that avoids bulk, I would consider ordering a smaller size and see if that works for you. I personally wanted a more relaxed fit so medium was fine.

Having dragged my previous jacket through a series of outdoor activities designed to test even the most durable product the time came to replace the old one (retained for gardening duties!) , The replacement has several thoughtful additions like longer sleeves and a reversible zip but it retains the same comfort and fit and quality. Most old one didn't have a front pocket either. If I could improve on the old adage 'it does what it says on the tin' I would, but I can't. It does.

Bought this as a base layer for cool days outdoors on the hill, but it’s so comfortable and nice that I’ve found myself throwing it on with jeans, or just wearing around the house. The wool is super-soft and the build quality is awesome, with tight stitching and a great zipper. Three pockets are a bonus and there are handy thumb loops too. On tiny criticism is that my medium sized version is a little long at the front for me, but other than that it’s perfect.

I bought the quantum hood jacket for my boyfriend for his birthday to surprise him. He had one before which lasted him for over 5 years and he wore it religiously! He was so happy to receive a replacement and has said this version is EVEN BETTER. This is a high quality product that is so versatile, incredibly comfortable and an absolute must-have if you are an icebreaker fan. This is a great for an active lifestyle but also as a warm layer to wear casually.

I have bought several of these over the years and whilst things have changed a little, the very best of the elements remain the same. I have worn this garment as a layer in freezing conditions in Alaska when heli-skiing, and I also wear it in New York when it gets cold. Quite how a garment can be technically this well made, be from sustainable wool product, and been fashionable enough to wander round the city, I have no idea! Amazing!

Great top. It works as a good looking piece of kit as well as providing all you expect from an Icebreaker top to keep me warm on the dog walks or when getting out of the water after an open water swim. I'm 6"3 and 85kg and think the large is just about right as a slim fit but could be a tiny bit big. Arms are perfect length. I still keep coming back to Icebreaker; expensive but value for money.

This garment is invaluable for travel. Wear it under a light jacket as extra warmth. Hood is perfect for airplane drafts. Zip pockets to secure items you need frequently. This is my favorite garment to wear around the house when it is chilly. So comfortable, never itchy, just comfy and wonderful. Also, easy to wash in cold water..spin dry with no heat or hang up to dry. Never shrinks.

I am 5 foot 6 inches, 34B with a broad back, long arms, 115lbs and I like the medium fit. Gives my some room under the armpits to breath and just overall extra room. The small def is a slim fit but I like medium better. Great quality, amazing zippers, and really like the stitching design. What happened to me, I went from club hopping to racing about merino wool! I love icebreaker.

For the past four years I have been searching for a lightweight, compact, warm sweater appropriate for the alpine and hiking in cooler temperatures. This sweater is perfect for everything, fits well, and is insanely comfortable like all of icebreaker products. Oddly though, I am 6' 4", 180, wear a large for all baselayers, but fit a medium perfectly in the quantum.

I bought this jacket as a present for my partner whose closet contains mostly icebreaker clothes and he had wanted a black hoody. This one was a perfect choice. It fit well (slim), had no contrasting colors or logos (all black), just the right size hood and the fabric weight. Great look, feel, and quality all around. Just as expected. He could not have been happier.

It’s as advertised. Great “swacket” (sweater/jacket). Warm and comfortable. For people with a slim fit - it’s a great piece. Very happy with it. If I had to improve, I’d:1. Find a slightly softer merino or imbue more polyester. 2. Make it an inch shorter - it hangs a touch to low. 3. $195 is a high price point. I think it’s more of a $150-175 product.
