First, a disclaimer to match my headline:I don't have any experience with "high end" hoodies aside from a very-expensive Prana pullover hoodie I purchased from REI years ago.And now the review:Carhartt brings an amazing value to the customer with this hoodie. The fabric is heavy, the stitching solid, and the zipper is heavy and has a high-quality feel to it. Like the American Giant "Best Hoodie in the World," little details are present such as metallic eyelets where the drawstrings enter into the hood. A nice thing about this hoodie is that it doesn't have a bunch of obnoxious branding on it, so it makes for a good "core component" of your casual wardrobe.I'm 6'0", 190 pounds, 44" chest,

I'm bald. My head is always cold. I live in hoodies all winter. I like a few different brands. But I love this one. It's a nice weight and quality. [e.g. the zipper {almost always the thing first to fail on a decent hoodie} is a good metal one.]Most importantly for me, though, is the fit. It's long enough, both in the torso and in the arm. I'm just slightly longer in the torso and shorter in the leg than the average male fashion mannequin. So sue me. But you'd be amazed at how many shirts, sweatshirts, etc. that you might buy in L, or XL, etc. are unexpectedly short in the arm length. Not a big deal for a shirt you plan to wear with the sleeves rolled up. [sure. cool, sometimes]

I tried it out after washing it. It fits me just fine. I'm 6-1 and 195 lbs. My sleeve length is 34 inches and the sleeves are just right. A tall large size would have been too much. I was worried about ordering the large size as usually the sleeve length is always slightly short. Not goofy looking short but when i reach or bend my arms the wrists begins to show with most large sizes for me. I was trusting the reviews that said Carthartt sizes tend to run larger. I like the longer sleeves of tall sizes but I don't like the longer waist length. The quality seems very good. Nice heavier zipper than the sweatshirts from the sporting good stores. It is also slightly heavier than the sweatshirts from the sporting goods store.

So I am 5"9, 200lbs approximately. I got a medium and it fits well everywhere for the most part. It's not too tight and it seems sturdy and warm. The arms are really long though and I had to flip the cuffs up or else my hands were completely hidden. The length is good, it comes down over my butt and the hood covers my toque. It's a touch taught across my bottom. I'm a woman and that's where my weight is (hips and buns). A small would be too small and a large would be ridiculous. Maybe I'll try the woman's cut. I just alwaya find the "girl" version of anything to be poorer quality/worse fit. Let's hope I am wrong

The green Carhartt hooded sweatshirt is fantastic! The fit is great, the color (moss) is nice, and the QUALITY is unsurpassed! I have grown tired of cheap sweatshirts that I bought just for that reason...they were cheap. The fit was never right and the quality was cheap. The cheap sweatshirts fell apart here or there due to shoddy construction. This Carhartt sweatshirt defies all the standards with it's thick material, great construction, beefy zipper and GREAT looks! You will not be disappointed and it is worth every penny!

I like wearing hoodie jackets. I normally order a size up because I like my hoodies to fit a little bit sloppy. The material of the Carhart hoodies are a lot thicker than others. The zippers are much more heavy-duty than a standard hoodie. Overall the construction of this hoodie exceeds other hoodies that I’ve owned in the past purchased at big box stores. Washing it did not shrink it but I did not use a dryer. If you’re looking for a well-made hoodie that’s going to last I would recommend this product.

I bought this one over the more expensive one that's sold here on Amazon. The price difference is in the percentage of cotton. I prefer 50/50 blend so it doesn't shrink and imo is more durable for work and washing.I wear XXL shirts and I bought the XL zip up because other reviews said it runs large. That was the right call. Order the size smaller than your t shirt size and you should be fine. The color is also a nice grey. I would buy again.

Believe me when I say this, all Carhartt sweat shirts and zip up hoodies run one size bigger than normal. I normally wear a large. I ordered a Medium based on reviews and I’m glad I did. You will be too. Otherwise, this hoodie is wonderful, warm and great for an extra layer or by itself. I like the front zipper because if I start getting hot, I can regulate my temperature by unzipping it a little, a lot or zippering it up to get warmer.

I’m a small guy so I chose the size small. Problem is I inherited my mothers hips. I’m small on top and big in the waist. Needless to say it fits but it’s pretty damn snug around the waistline. Perhaps I should lay off the snickers for a while. It seems everything I eat goes straight to my damn hips. So if your big in the hips and when you look in the mirror and see a pear. Go with a different brand like dickies.

Great quality fabric and stitching. Subtle branding, which is nice. BUT...the sizing is fairly ridiculous. I am 45” chest in a shirt and 6’ so ordered the XL (44”-46’”). It is absolutely massive, the stitching at the top of the sleeves is halfway down my arm and it is far too long. No chance of wearing anything that fits over the top. My advice...buy it but go a size smaller.

As you would expect with carhartt the product is well made. I took the advice from previous feedback that the sizes are bigger than expected. Normally with uk sourced carhartt products i would be at least an extra large. 6ft 4inch tall, 44inch chest. I ordered the large size and it fits perfect. I think as a previous review said that these are probably american sizes.

Hi, the hoodie is good quality and made with heavy fleecy fabric. The fit is slightly larger/relaxed (even for carhartt) so consider when ordering.I would have awarded 5 stars however the fabric has started to harden and fade slightly following only the 3rd wash.I specifically use dark clothing washing detergent so slightly surprised that this has happened so soon.

The only reason I did not give this item five stars is because of the color. I ordered the blue, and I was excited because it showed it lighter than the classic dark navy sweatshirt. Well when I got it, it WAS the classic dark navy. I was excited to expand my boyfriends color wardrobe. Nothing wrong with the sweatshirt, you can never go wrong with carhartt

I am thrilled with this sweatshirt. I carefully studied Carhart's fitting chart and selected the correct size. This sweatshirt is EXACTLY what I had been looking for. It's very soft on the inside and fits great. Being new, I cannot rate it's durability. But it seems quite well constructed. The metal zipper looks like it will last a long long time.

As others have mentioned, this hoodie is larger than expected. I've got fairly broad shoulders, so I figured it wouldn't be a problem, but this thing is even large on me. The arms on it are long, and it is taller than any other hoodie I've owned. The brass zipper is awesome. It might stick a bit, but this is a zipper that is never going to break.
