Had researched this quote a bit before I purchased. I was finally in-between Cosair Vengence and this HyperX Impact RAM. The latency was lower on the HyperX Impact, so this influenced my purchase. My cheap computer already had 8 GB on board RAM, but there was nothing plugged into the RAM space..installing the HyperX Impact 16GB card was easy. Unplug power from computer. make sure computer is shutdown. Remove 8 screws on the back. All the screws are the same size. I used a micro torx screwdriver. take off the rubber feet close to the hinge and there is a screw under each. The cover peels away and it helps to slide a credit card around the outside to help free it.Plugging in the RAM card is easy - make sure you depress the wire clips on the board to open and lock the card in place.I gave the whole computer a quick check for dust and brushed any specs I saw. Putting the cover back is reverse of removal. Make sure cover has been snapped back. You also get a Hyper sticker to go on the inside of the computer. See photo.Performance is amazing. As soon as I restated computer I noticed an improvement in speed. Software is easy to load and process. Nothing crashes anymore and games are much better graphics, speed and response. I haven't overclocked it yet, not sure if I ever will need to. This card runs on it's own.. Just plug and play! Very please with this purchased and it's like I have a new computer!Anyone can do this upgrade. It's well worth it.

Installed on HP Omen 17.I added this module to my laptop along with the existing 8GB Samsung module, and I'm happy to say the process was very easy. The instructions in the packaging are straight-forward, fortunately installing RAM isn't too tricky even for a beginner. The module itself is nicely presented with a black finish, and functionally it is very capable. A good balance of CL and clock speed so it's good for both gaming and data-heavy tasks, and I'm also happy to say it was compatible with my existing Samsung 2666MHz SODIMM, although the Samsung chip has a slower CL which will hold back the HyperX slightly. The warranty for the module is also excellent - you don't even need to register is (as far as I can tell),and you're covered for a lifetime! As an added bonus, it comes with a tasteful metallic-backed sticker, so you can show off the specs of your machine with ease - I've put mine next to the Intel and GeForce GTX stickers and it compliments them nicely.

I got a deal on a laptop for my daughter (11) last weekend and it comes with a budget 8Ghz 2666 memory card. The laptop runs a Ryzen 3550H so it cannot use memory above 2400 anyway.1. check the MEMORY speed using CTRL-ALt-DEL - <task manager> to see what your pc is currently running memory at.I did some research and installed this memory today, followed by a benchtest from an online laptop speed benchmarking site. I'm really pleased with the result, both memory boards are in use and running at 2400, and the benchtest results confirmed that the laptop was now making much better use of the CPU resources and the disk drive.88% and "yacht" was the result on the score.I only bought the memory yesterday and it arrived today and was installed at lunchtime - my daughter is really pleased, and the original memory card is repurposed to the laptop my son is using for schoolwork so he's pleased too. Result! For budget laptops, this memory is great value for money!

I bought an Intel NUC i7 (8th generation) here from Amazon, together with this memory, a Samsung m2 SSD and a SanDisk SSD. Fitting everything in to the NUC was easy, but I did clear my work area and I did wear and anti-static bracelet earthed to the chassis of the NUC. The memory configures itself.I'm running Ableton Live 10 (Standard Edition) Digital Audio Workstation, with at least 3 midi devices attached. In part due to processor, the Samsung drive, and this RAM, the processor has yet to exceed 50%... when I'm pushing everything.Everything in the NUC is designed for low power consumption (it's why I chose an i7 and not an i9), which means, there is a reduced production of heat, and so I rarely (if ever) hear the fan. Finally I know there have been complaints about this memory, but all of them seem to have come from Apple users. If you are installing to Intel and maybe AMD, I don't think you should have any worries about compatibility.

It runs at 2666Mhz 15-17-17 timing, fastest in the market for notebook. I tested with my i7-6820HQ and i7-8750H, they both runs faster than anything in the market.G.Skill Ripjaw 2666Mhz at 18 18 18 Timing is also very close and can runs at the fastest speed with 6th gen i7 or newer.Only Crucial Ballistix 2666Mhz which only support XMP2.0 will not run at 2666Mhz. It will only runs at 2400Mhz with 18 18 18 39 Timing. Crucial does not list 2666Mhz in its JEDEC specs, therefore most notebook will not support 2666Mhz. Although the actual speed in all applications is still very close with this HyperX or G.Skill RAMs at 2666Mhz

Definetely not the Best but very very good at a budget !!! They been working pretty fine for me tbh. I used the 1300mhz DDR3 virsion before on my older machine and even then it worked really fine !!! So would recommend. EDIT : For people who have questions regarding if it'll work with their devices, CHECK and match the specs of your device's already installed memorychip (RAM), one way to do that is open CMD on windows adn type in "wmic memorychip get speed" which will show you the speed of your already installed ram, Speed for this chip is 2666mhz

I bought this memory for my NUC8i7HVK along with 2x2tb Adata nvme Drives. The Intel site states that most modules have to be 2400, it would though accept 3200 from HyperX. It has performed well and I have no issues. 32Gbs is more of a luxury than a necessity, but you guys know what we're like. I only gave four stars on presentation as the logo side is inserted face down on the Nuc which is just one of those things I guess, but bugs me a little. Overall though - Compatibility, performance, cost are all first class.

4 out of 5 because this is the fastest sodimm module I have found around and full 2666 on jedec profiles.Unfortunately, as many other, the fastest settings 15-17-17 is available just in XMP and in jedec Is just a 16-17-17.The very bad thing is that Kingston published specs saying this module supports 15-17-17 in jedec, but this is simply not true.Anyway big step forward compared to my old Hynix CL19 ddr4 2666 and happy that at least 2666 is supported in jedec and not only in XMP.

Bought 2x16GB HyperX 2400Mhz Impact Ram cards to double the RAM of my HP Spectre x360 15-ch004no.The installation was very simply, apart from the fiddly dissambly of this HP laptop. It was just a matter of pushing out the retention clips of the old ram cards, and slotting in the new ones.It will take 30 seconds when you boot it up the first time. Don't worry about that, every startup afterwards will be just as normal.

5 stars for amazon service only. As for RAM - I am sure it is fast, but it did not work on my Dell inspirion. So can not rate it and I had to return it. Apparently, it is an old compatibility issue with Dell laptops. That was the case - after installing the hyperx ram my laptop did not boot at all(I did reset bios etc..). So bought 16GB crucial instead which has been running flawless so far.

bought this for my ideapad 330 laptot which came with 4gb soldered ddr4 ram. lenovo said it can be maximum upgraded to 16gb so i bought this as it was on sale (big discount) 2400 version. i installed it in seconds and after boot up total usable memory i have is 20gb. amazing for value ! strongly recomend

I bought the "2x8gb 3200mhz" unit, they were easy to install; simply pop the back cover, remove old unit and pop the two in.It is important to note, that the Asus GL703GM has a max RAM clock speed of 2666mhz; so you could get 'slower' RAM at a cheaper price. Saying that, I'm very happy with my purchase!

Great 2x ram sticks for the price I paid for. Easy to install in my Alienware 15 R3 and finally upgraded from 16gb to 32gb.It only took 1 restart for my laptop to recognize the ram sticks and already working at 2666mhz speed.Overall great product by HyperX and very satisfied with it.

Given how memory hungry even Chrome has gotten, having the option to have 32gb of RAM these days is grand and this went into the HP Omen 15 I have easily and was auto recognised at being capable of running at the 2666 speed. It just works and with RAM, that's all I am after!

Paid almost £113 for this couple of months ago to boost the ram on my Acer Predator 17.Good value for money, very easy to install, simply unscrew the back panel and add it in the slot.Price at the time of writing the review is £69:48 which is a steal.
