I’m a medium in almost all clothes and jackets from old navy to Levi’s to Columbia. The medium in this jacket was too small to even zip up although the correct length and perfect sleeve length. The large is very snug, especially over my boobs, and so a good motivator to lose more weight. The sleeves aren’t overly long so they would be short on a person over 5’4” I think - my arms aren’t long. Which is why I think it’s a manufacturing issue and sizing up x2 if you’re not already actively losing weight and 1x if you are.I’m keeping the medium in my closet for future use so I can’t comment on the returns policy.Other than the sizing issue, it’s a beautiful jacket. Well made, the stitching is perfect,

Had been looking for a quality waterproof jacket which was longer but would be a better shape since I work with children and need it to be roomier! I was fed up spending less and being soaked through! Took a chance on ordering this one and love it! No more sodden jeans as the flared design allows water to run off more easily. It's wind proof too and I can get a fleece under it for really cold days. Not sure about the bright pink but the grey colour is just right! Lots of people have admired it, good for my work at school, casual wear (just back from a walking holiday in the Highlands) and it was smart enough to wear with a nice scarf when I went out for lunch! So a very practical and versatile purchase.

The fitting is definitely on the small side. I'm a size 10/12 and the size L fits but it's too tight around the hips (and I have a flattish stomach and not wider hips). The coat is thin, and right now, I'm not sure if I have received the raincoat instead the winter coat, as both are called Belfast. It's longer than expected but that's great (I'm 1.65cm tall). It says waterproof, however, I haven't try it yet. I'll update my review when I do. UPDATE: This morning we had 8°C and light showers, I wore the coat with a thin top underneath, and I was dry and roasted! It's thin, not more thicker than a raincoat, but does the job! I've updated from 3 to 5 stars.

The coat is warm and water proof with a well designed hood. My only negative comment would be the sleeves...they are very tight fitting which is okay with just a blouse or long sleeved tee underneath but no room for a sweater. I ordered a large on advice from the reviewers saying the coat fit small. I am 5'4" and 130 lbs. slim hipped so not normally wearing a large. The coat is a good fit otherwise and especially like the double zipper. I don't think the older versions had this feature.

I have been looking for a longer light waterproof for ages and am very pleased with this jacket. It is perfect for wearing whilst walking my dogs and the two way zip is really useful! So far it has been waterproof in moderate weather. It is good quality and I like the colour with the bright contrast for these warmer months. The only down side is I have got too hot whilst walking even with just a tshirt underneath, this may be due to the lining.

Lightweight, stylish and warm. It definitely has a layer of insulation inside. Went out in a bracing wind and it kept me cosy, though I don't think it will be sufficient without another layer inside for very cold conditions. Not yet tested in a downpour. Bought a small as I am a UK size 10 and it fits nicely. Exactly what I needed for long dog walks to see me through until winter arrives. Very pleased with this purchase.

I live in the rainy PNW and wanted a rain jacket that would cover me down to my knees. Thus jacket is indeed waterproof, the fabric inside the coat is soft and it is incredibly well made. It has kept me super warm on cold rainy days. I have many high end jackets and this is truly the best jacket I have ever owned! It does fit me perfectly and that’s unusual as I am 5’1 105lbs so you may want to size up.

Especially for spring and fall and rainy weather. Healy Hensen is a well known brand. The coats have a lot of detail to them and I have been looking for awhile. I do not get out much so finding this coat on Amazon was a good surprise. It is a name brand coat used for rain and a coat to use from winter to spring and fall to winter. Very stylish and fit is good.

This is a really nice jacket. It says it's Primaloft so I expect it to be warm. I haven't worn it out yet, I'm giving it a 4 bc it fits snug. I purchased a L and I usually fit between a medium and large but I wanted room to wear something think underneath. Well, that's not going to happen. So know to size up if you'd prefer room for a sweater.

Wore this for a trip to Ireland and it really was the best buy ever. I also lucked out on a deal and got mine for $42. The sizing worked well for me. Wore it on cold, rainy days, it kept the wind out and kept me dry. I was also impressed that the hood stayed put even in extremely gusty wind conditions. Can't recommend this enough.

Amazing Jacket. Fit to size. The jacket is lined and nice and warm. Quality of zippers and closures are exceptional. Neck and hood protection are very comfortable. Hood fits and protects face perfectly. It feels warm, soft and like a perfectly worn favorite jacket. Can't say enough great things. Best jacket for the price.

Very flattering, pretty and unique looking. Wore in the rain and it seemed waterproof, however not SUPER warm - mind you it was in the low 40's....with a "NorthFace" fleece underneath, I'm sure it would have been great! In slightly warmer rain (at least 55+) this would probably be perfect.

It's not my first Helly Hansen buy, I have a light raincoat and ordered this one for early spring and early fall. Wore it the other day during heavy rainfall and coat kept me totally dry and hood stays in place when it's windy. Love my purchase. HH always great quality products.

Love this jacket. I needed a longer rain jacket that has some warmth to it. Specially while outside watching kids sports in fall and spring. It does run small. I should of got a Large so I can layer it. Medium is just fitting, snug in the shoulder area. Over all a nice jacket.

Really good rain coat! I'm around 5'7- 5'8 and this hits mid thigh. I can bike in it. The pockets are lined with a light fleece layer which is nice. I kind of wish the jacket had a thicker layer but it's a rain coat not a light winter jacket. Pretty happy with it!
