Something about this jacket really appealed to me when I first saw it on amazon, but I refrained from buying it right away. I rarely make online purchases and when I do, I never buy clothes for fear that they will not fit right or that I'll change my mind as soon as I see it on. I read from the reviews mixed opinions about the small being too small, the cut being too short, etc, and decided to try and find the jacket in stores to see for myself. I couldn't find a place that stocked women's Carhartt, but my mind kept coming back to this jacket so I decided to take the gamble and just order it.Let me just say that I am SO glad that I did! I have had this coat for about 2 weeks now and I am totally in love with it!

I love this jacket. We've been having some frigid weather here in Pennsylvania and this jacket has been wonderful. I lost some weight since I originally purchased it and I can feel it start to be big in XL. I don't mind because I like the extra room to wear a mediumweight hoodie underneath. When you have a jacket this warm you realize how cold your face and legs really are. Beats my columbia jacket any day.Anyway I didn't size down as some other reviewers suggested. I think I wouldn't have been able to zip a L with a hoodie on. The arms are huge on me and I don't exactly have small arms. They just don't lay like they do on the model and since the fabric is kinda tough there's not much I can do.

The Sherpa is awesome, the color is pretty although a bit darker than the one in the picture but I love it better. I work in a negative five degree freezer and it keeps me warm. The only complaint I have is the Sherpa is not in the arms, the hood needs to be bigger to accommodate huge heads, and I listened to the other reviews about the sizing and ordered a size smaller a XL I am a true size 2X and while the XL did fit and had some room I wished I had bought a 2X so I could have some extra moving room and sweater room. If you have broad shoulders and like a little room you should definitely order your true size. Thanks for good quality, same quality as the carhartt I bought years ago.

I am male, 5'5", 120 lbs, and I had purchased a men's small of the same jacket, only to find myself swimming in it. I decided to return it and look at the women's version. After reading reviews, it seemed clear that, even in women's, I would require the absolute smallest size available, XS, and that just seems ridiculous to me. If I were female, I would probably be considered a slightly below average size...meaning there are a ton of women who are smaller. How, then, are they supposed to enjoy Carhartt products? I do love this jacket, it's warm, tough, and it fits me well, but I have to drop a star for the ridiculous sizing standards and the company's seeming prejudice against smaller people.

Originally, I ordered The Sandstone Berkley snap front jacket in medium. It’s a beautiful jacket but it’s a very narrow and tight cut through the shoulders, so I returned it. I decided to try the Sandstone Sierra instead and I’m glad I did! I Love it !! The raspberry is a very pretty colour. And the jacket is a perfect fit. I normally take a medium and that’s what I ordered. It’s roomy enough to wear a light weight sweater underneath. But I won’t need it. The Sherpa lining adds a nice contrast, as well as softness, and warmth. As mentioned in other reviews the zipper is a bit persnickety but I think it will work in once I’ve warn it a few times. I’ve had Carhart jackets before.

I'm 5'10" and 165lbs with long arms and was apprehensive that the Small would be long enough. The Small comes down to just below my wrists and is fitted in the torso with enough room to wear a warm long sleeve shirt and a sweatshirt under it without feeling constricted. The back of the jacket hits me just below the top of my back jean pockets and keeps my back covered when I bend over.The only con I can find with this jacket is that the front pockets do not have the sherpa lining in them. I would have preferred that to help keep my hands warm when I'm unable to wear gloves or if the gloves aren't providing enough warmth.

I am not one to like shopping in stores. I usually know what I want to buy, and ordering from Amazon makes it so convenient. I couldn't have found a jacket like this Carhartt in my size if I had been shopping in stores. I picked out the coat on Amazon I wanted, chose my size, and checked out on the easy one-click exit. The jacket came in 2 days, and met all expectations including perfect sizing. It has been a colder winter in my part of the country than it has been in several years. I'm thankful for my new Carhartt, I'm keeping warm. My Carhartt is the best jacket I've had in years that I can remember.

Love this jacket. Definitely size down, as these run large and the arms are a bit poofy. I'm 5'7" 129lbs, small chested, broad shoulders, and the x-small fits perfectly with enough room to wear a hoodie as an extra layer underneath. I have super lanky long arms and the arms are exactly long enough and don't ride up when I'm moving around. Looks super cute and I love the faded black look. Very warm, but not quite as warm as other Carhartts I have owned. Still love it though and wear it on my daily winter walks in northern PA!

She loves it. Has the hood, great color, really soft in the inside arms included. She also really likes that there is no elastic band in the waist giving a little more freedom in the jacket. Its standard Carhartt toughness on the outside. These are the best jackets for fighting black berry bushes. Great for hiking in the bush as well as thorns and burs dont dig or stick into the material like they do with synthetics. Toss it in the washing machine zipped up for cleaning. Highly recommend.

This is a very warm coat. It is a boxy fit that accommodates layers. I have a hoodie and flannel shirt from Carhartt and I took a chance and bought a medium in this jacket also. I can wear my hoodie under the jacket no problem. In athletic brands I wear a large as my shoulders and bust are my largest measurement. My bust measurement is 40 and the coat fits great in the medium. If you are not planning on wearing layers with it consider sizing down.

I LOVE IT!! Super warm and comfy. It's a Carhartt, so the material is pretty thick and not the most flexible though. The fluffy lining is only on the hood and back, it's not down the sleeves or anything. But it's still really warm and fits me well. I'm 5'7 and 130 lbs and the small isn't too terribly large, but yes, it does fit a bit on the bigger side. There are two inside pockets too which is great. I love it and think it was worth the money.

Great jacket - perfect for working around the ranch. Warm enough for our -30 days. This is my second one - the first one is finally too shabby to wear to town after 5 years of wearing daily from early autumn to late spring. Hardwearing, washes great and doesn't shrink which is important when you have to wash a jacket every couple of weeks. Seriously thinking of buying a 3rd one in case they decide to change the style.

It definitely has a weird fit I had to get used to for a winter coat, but I like it. I ordered a medium and I'm a fairly small person as far as height and weight, but I cannot wear a hoodie underneath the coat comfortably. I thought it would be a problem as far as keeping me warm in mid-west winters, but just the coat by itself is surprisingly warm enough! I like the color of it, and its definitely a tough built coat.

Genuine Carhartt Jacket, same exact product Dicks and Gander Mountain sells but with a better price. The princess lining in the back is really nice and feminine. The Jacket it a little short, but I knew that from trying it on in the store and I prefer it that way. It is very warm and comfortable. Does take a few wears to break in. Came packaged nicely and in perfect condition.

I Received my Purple Sage, Carhartt jacket yesterday and I couldn't be more pleased! Based upon other reviews, I ordered a small. I am 5'2", 120lbs and it fits perfectly! Not too snug, not too big. The color is beautiful and the sherpa lining, nice and warm. This is my first Carhartt, I've only had it for 24 hours and I'm customer for life already! You won't be disappointed!
