This feeder is great, with a twist top and bottom it is so easy to fill and even easier to clean, good sturdy metal. All feeders should be as easy to clean as this one, just wish some larger ones were readily available, I use mine for sunflower seeds but could do with a large seed feeder. I find these last about two years, the perspex is the weak point as it either splits or comes apart from the metal rings it is attached. However for the price two years of constant use is good and I always try to repurchase this design.

Ordered this to replace an identical one that finally gave up the ghost after around ten years of service.The old one had been out in the sun, wind, rain and snow and took all Mother Nature could throw at it whilst performing well. I think it finally succumbed to UV sunlight. The plastic becoming brittle but the metal plastic parts still okay, albeit a bit rusty!These heavy duty Gardman feeders are the best I have come across and would definitely recommend them for durability and ease of filling.

This feeder is sturdy: the top and base are metal with a durable/plastic coating; the clear plastic container is rigid; the top and base are secured into place by a sort of tongue and groove locking mechanism, twist and lock. Some drainage holes in the base and a lip at feeding holes to stop rain water seeping into seed. Good purchase.

Easy to fill, sturdy and nice quality. I have had one of these before and it lasted a long time. I do however remove the perches which is easy to do so that the pigeons can not land on them and eat all the seed. The smaller bird have no problem landing on the edge of the feed tray to feed.

Already have the smaller size and am glad to have found this more convenient 'large' sized Gardman feeder! Much better than the smaller version and holds more bird food which is good as the garden birds are busy feeders all day long. Saves doing daily top ups.

Would recommend this feeder if you are visited by lots of birds. Multiple feeding ports and a generous capacity will make this a popular addition to any garden as long as it is positioned well out of reach of any prey animals. Highly recommended.

Its a good bird seed feeder - and the arms are large enough for the spotted woodpecker to get his/her share of the sunflower seeds. So far the squirrels and crows havent found it - but give ithem time!!

This is great, most of it is metal but it’s not squirrel proof as seed sits in plastic, so they could chew the ends. So far so good the squirrels haven’t tired. Full of birds all day they love it.

I fill it with sunflower hearts and many birds come to feed. I remove the "perches" and fit a plant saucer underneath for the birds to land on and catch chaff. Easy to keep clean.

The birds in my garden use this constantly it is always busy & usually has a queue to get on the perches. Great robust construction which stood up to storm Doris

This is a high quality feeder. I like it especially as it has perching bars, so the robins don't have to hover to get some seed. Multi bird friendly. Recommend.
