Sadly, I have to give this particular Fotodiox adapter a 3 overall. With both of my Contax N lenses, Vario-Sonnar T* 3,5-4,5/24-85mm & Vario-Sonnar T* 4-5,6/70-300mm suffer detectable and often dramatic corner vignetting. I had to return the adapter. I was able to isolate the issue to the manual iris control. At wide focal settings (at full open aperture )the vignetting was noticeable and when stopped down the vignetting became dramatic at zoomed focal settings. My camera is a Sony ARIII, which I very much enjoy (wish the menu weren't so awkward & bewildering).I've used Fotodiox Pro adapters for many years on all brand of lenses. They are usually of great build quality, engineering and appearance.

Absolutely useless. Has an internal iris that does nothing except vignette. No control over lens aperture so would only be able to shoot wide open. Stay far away from this one! Fotodiox should remove this item immediately.

Do not buy this adapter. The built in Iris does not close down all the way and basically just makes a giant vignette instead. Pretty much useless unless you shoot wide open. Otherwise do not bother.
