For those looking for a massive upgrade on FM 2015 with lots of exciting new features, prepare to be disappointed. What SI Games have done with this year's edition of their highly acclaimed series is made a number of tweaks here and there to add depth to gameplay. And they work. For example, the tactics screen now resembles a chalk board in the dressing room with diagrams explaining the various instructions. Now you can switch to Attacking play and instantly see how that effects other instructions. On FM 2015 I'd make a few tactical changes mid match but now I find myself actually watching players to see if they are doing what they are supposed to. Then there's the interaction with your staff which has been ramped up.Little things like the results of pre-match fitness tests, more detailed advice on how your coaching staff think you should approach the next match. Suddenly in FM2016 you feel like you're managing not just footballers but your staff. These are just examples but thousands of smaller improvements have, in my opinion, made this the best and most immersive version in the series yet. Yes, there are still a few bugs and it really does need a couple of files added to circumnavigate licencing issues that lead to a nonsense version of the Bundesliga and no club crests for a number of leagues, but Sports Interactive do encourage feedback and it says something that FM 2016 Beta was more polished than the final patched version of FM 2015.

Oooooh the first person not to give 5 star, I feel harsh now.4 star means I like it, but it is not perfect, which is exactly how I'd describe it. I feel that bar some better graphics and a tiny bit better tactical decisions, this game is effectively FM15 with bug fixes, updated squads and leagues. The layout is the same, and the whole game is just very similar. An improvement, yes, but not too different that it warrants a perfect 5.A few of the problems... transfer budgets I feel are wrong, especially given that player's fees are now astronomical. Jamie Vardy goes on a short scoring run and suddenly he is worth nigh-on £30million? That's almost double Tottenham's transfer budget. You're telling me a team that often spends up to £100 mill in transfer windows on this game can't afford a striker who scored just 5 times last season?Secondly, they have what I would call a minor bug, which is if a player scores once in a game, he often scores multiple times. A few exams from my career, I won 3-1, my CB scored all 3. I won 4-0, my striker scored all 4. I won 7-1, my striker (same striker) scored 6 out of the 7. I won 2-0, my left-back who'd never scored in his career before scored both. It goes on but I think you get the point. All in all, yes I like this game and yes it is as playable and addictive as always, but not so different and better than the old one that it deserves 5 star.

This is a decent game but for the fact that there's no personal life, so no children, partner, attempting to balance work with personal life/children and noway of giving yourself an advantage by easy manipulation of the database (which you can with FIFA Manager 14. The difference with FIFA manager 14 is you can only control the first two seasons, after that you have to work with the database that updates at the start of every new season you play. So although you can "cheat" to start with, it gets balanced out e. g. Creating a first XI u18s team that wins the league hands down but that come the end of the season you have to sell them or release them because of squad size restrictions). However, digressing, I've only just started playing because FIFA manager no longer works on my laptop (some technical issue or other with the installation) so can't say that much about it. The graphics are reasonable but the gameplay... Sometimes I wonder if they are the same players in the database...

This game is a fantastic new instalment to the franchise. As ever it feels as if the changes were evolutionary rather than revolutionary but there is no doubt work has been done on some key features including cross platform usability, a much needed advancement. Now this game is optimised for mobile devices running Android and iOS I would like to see the same treatment for touch based windows devices. My favourite new feature was the set piece creator, although it is a step in the right direction I still think greater freedom is required in player movements.Pro:Quick and easy to pick up in touch modeCan expand to be as complex as requiredMuch needed improvements appliedLove the new set piececreatorCons:Small step fro FM15Touch support on WindowsFew bugs on initial release

I've played these games for over 17 years now (when they were Championship manager before the split), and although I haven't purchased every edition, I have most. The game continues to evolve, with new and improved features every release. It really does steal your life! The good thing about FM is you can play it whilst doing other things, or completely absorb yourself. The downside is I now feel like an expert on football management, and have become one of the increasing breed of 'armchair managers' who would most definitely be able to do a better job than most of the top managers of today. I mean, I just bought Messi to Stoke, where he is joining the reigning Champions league winners, and I am currently rated as 'untouchable' by the board.

Great Game for Football Entusiasts who fancy trying their hand at management. If you have never played football manager before you will be amazed at how detailed the game is. I have recently upgraded from FM14 and the jump is quite significant (from what I hear not a massive jump from FM15) in terms of what is new, but after a few warm up games you get the jist of it, no problem at asll. THere is also a very helpful 'Help Section' which essentially is a walk through as you go through the gamne, anything your not sure about you hover over the question mark and it tells you all you need to know. The price of this gamer is AMAZING totally worth £20

better than ever this year although i didnt have 2015 due to it crashing on my laptop the only two negative points that i find are 1) wheres the crowd in the stadium during match days just empty stands ? 2) the flight of the ball during match days is a lot harder to follow compared with 2012 version ive had to slow the game down a bit you get used to it eventually but its not as easy to watch but on the whole there loads of new improvements and i would say the best version yet

Awesome. I love this game. Normally only buy every two years as progress in the game isn't normally great if you buy every year but this one breaks the mould. I had lasts years game but took a punt with this one and so glad I did. It's fantastic. I feel so involved now and my decisions on and off the pitch have real impact like never before. Would highly recommend. If you haven't got this game yet and love the other games you must get this.

New users will find this game very difficult due to it being so complex, so if they wish to start they would probably be better of playing it on their mobile and then using the PC version. It is a very good game, match engine needs to be better but SI recognises this hopefully they will improve it over future years.

Aint got this yet but reviews and youtube videos look good. Championship manager and football manager have always been great games so expecting the same. Doesnt play on xp. Only windows 7 and above. Also note ive ordered my game for £20 off amazon. So keep an eye on this product and wait until the price drops.

Great game not much difference between the last version but if your FM fan then it's always addictive. Lost the first 5 games with Man Utd by trying to play attacking football.Creating your manager character is useless addition to the game. More time could have been spent elsewhere.

Amazing game - they have managed to speed up the gameplay of the live games a lot which makes it much better to watch. I found it quite hard to create a real goal scoring team on the last version of the game but I haven't had the same problem with this one.5/5 Definitely recommend

Great game! In depth and a great way to pass a few hours. If you want to take the easy way out it has an editor but this is long and a bit tedious to do. Note that you need to enter the editor each time you start a new game, I have tried it but it does take the fun out of the game

Exactly what you'd expect if you're a big FM fan. I fully immersed myself in the virtual managerial world. Could I have put my time to better use? Absolutely, but I don't regret spending my time taking Hartlepool to the championship in 2 seasons.

16.11.2015

Very addicting as always, must buy for all FM fans.Hard to get used to at the start I keep losing but will stick at it.Waste of time with the create your manager character though time could have been spent on something more useful.
