I am a complete novice to 3D printing but had been thinking of buying a printer for some time. I've had a little experience at 3D CAD design and have previously had items printed commercially. I chose this particular 3D printer as my wife has recently been using this model at university and she described how simple it was to operate; and it was described by others as robust, well-made and has the advantage of having a dual extruder. It arrived promptly and very well packaged. The setup was pretty straightforward and the only reason any assembly was required was because it was so well packed to prevent damage in transit. I watched FlashForge's online video first (whilst I was excitedly awaiting delivery!)on how to unbox and assemble the machine - and this was helpful. Once I had it set up and the build plate levelled - again very simple and with another online video to help - I ran a test print. Success! I like the dual print head extruder as you can run two colours at the same time and the machine is a stand-alone model meaning I can locate it away from my PC. The model files are simply transferred to the printer by standard SD card. Simple! FlashForge have their own free to download slicing software, FlashPrint to convert your .stl files to the printer's .x3g files. I've not used any other slicing software before but this is very easy-to-use and has features such as auto support building, raft building, auto-fixing, etc and I've had no issues getting my amateurish models to print. I'm no computer-whizz so if I can get this to print right first-time-every-time; then I'm sure anyone can! All-in-all I'm very impressed with the printer. It's not the cheapest on the market but you tend to get what you pay for and this is a solid, easy-to-use model with great features. I've run a few prints on it's highest resolution and the quality is really very good. Professional reviews tend to rate the quality as very good for the price of the printer - something more akin to more expensive semi-professional level printers. I printed a small key fob to test the quality and all the tiny features are discernible. I did print of a modification which was a filament guide to fit to the back of the printer which helps it pull the filament from the centre of the spool instead of one side and reduces the risk of tangled filament and print failures - something my wife tells me happens to the ones at the university fairly regularly if left unattended. So far this has been avoided and the filament guide only took about 30 minutes to print (there are plenty to choose from and download for free online). I'm slightly surprised this isn't a standard accessory supplied by FlashForge, but hey, it gave me something to try printing! If you're new to the idea of 3D printing and are thinking of investing in a printer I recommend the Creator Pro most highly. I'm sure experts will point out it's limitations and faults but I've yet to find any.

Worth the money... yes!But you need to know how to use it, getting started is easy for beginners with intuitiveness.Assembly - Of the product is a 9.8/10... yes I didn’t know you needed to move the print rails to the back before opening the door to remove the PLA and styrofoam, manual in general could be better (clearer images, more elaborated discription) but it’s not hard to work out what you need to do at all, it also come with all the equipment you need and spares 8.6/10.Setup - Is very good, plug in the power cable at the back, comes with UK & US/EU leads not adapters separate leads! 10/10 for that. The board and extruders are already calibrated out of the box and will work with any design.Looks - The inside has blue lights which you can turn off in the options (utilities)menu. The information shown on the screen is clear and not to bright in the dark, if you need more information just back out and you’ve got the main menu. 10/10!Usability/practically - For size as intermediate printer i’d give it a 10/10. The product uses an SD card for files, as far as I know it doesn’t have WiFi or USB compatibility... 4/10 seriously inconvenient but if you have a SD card reader... then it’s perfect. The noise is mediocre at best, not to noticeable but it depends on how easy you get aggravated. It’s a 6/10 but let me point out this is better than some other brands.Key Things to Note:- Comes with PLA 1.75mm 1kg - White&Blue.- Flashforge can be downloaded via the website (it is on the SD card).- Clean the inside after every print.- Check and check again that everythings perfect before printing (no going back after a 32h print).- You don’t need tape or such like for the base. You must... MUST! Get a respectable PVA filament for your structure the PLA is damn good the stuff it comes with but Geeetech PLA is a little better.... Little. The most annoying thing about this printer is the flashforge software, flash print.Let’s say you want PVA as your raft and support.... ok but you need to go to the advanced menu for that.... why isn’t it just a option to the side in the first place? And it gets better, the advanced menu doesn’t let you change the material you’re using in each extruder but the basic menu does. 9/10Overall this printer is very good and totally worth the money, just look after it and go by the rules and it’ll work perfectly.

after having this printer for more than a year I think I'm ready to write a valid review about this product:first and foremost the quality of the product is better than most, for the price point you should be paying 1800 euros easy. this tops all 3d printers in the 500-900 euro range. when you receive the box it is well packed from factory and easy to put together. I was able to put it together and get a 20mm calibration box printed within 1 hour. (not to bad if you ask me) The only down fall is the quality of filament that comes with the printer is not the same quality that you can order from the company, but for beginners it isn't to bad at all.it comes with a heated bed and dual extruders which is great for people like me that use both PLA and ABS. If you are not that computer savvy Flashforge has made it super easy for amateurs to get into the world of 3D printing with this printer. Leveling this printer literally is super easy with just 3 bolts and a piece of paper you will have it leveled and ready to print in a matter of 2-3 minutes.Moving on to customer service...Seriously the best I have ever dealt with. My left extruder fan was going out . It would turn on when it wanted to. I called them, sent them a video of the fault, and without question they sent me a new fan. When you are paying over 800 euros for something you would expect some type of service and you will receive it with this company. I now there are Chinese made cheaper versions out there, but dont go with them regardless what you read online because once you are broke with those you have to replace your own parts. With buying through Flashforge you receive a warrant which is worth the wortd when you are stuck in a jam.I have printed with numerous printers Makerbot, Flashforge, Cube, and many others and I have clocked more hours on my Creator pro than any other. The reason? Reliability, quality of print, and with a glass plate (which you can purchase through them) you have an amazing printer that is worth way more than what they sell it. I would buy this printer 5 more times if I had to, It is worth your money and time. This is an investment you will not regret.

Purchased this 3d printer to allow me to work on some personal projects. I spent a little time researching a number of different printers and at this price point it’s difficult to find any alternatives offering dual extrusion which aren’t essentially clones of one another(and this).Never 3d printed before this purchase. If I’m honest I was expecting it to be more difficult. I followed the instructions to disassemble the packaging and finish setting up the printer which must have taken less then 30 mins. Loaded the filament, levelled the bed and started my test cube, which printed very well out of the box. There’s a number of aftermarket upgrades which can be printed available on thingiverse with relative ease.I would recommend replacing the spool holders, spool guide cooling duct and adding a tpu door draft excluder to improve this already fantastic product however I can’t mark this down for them not being included as for me it was all part of the fun and helped me learn how to print. Finally I did replace the bed with glass but that was more for the shiny finish then the adhesion.Flashprint works well out the box with the default profiles however you may wish to enter expert mode and turn the extrusion ratios down a little in places since they seem to default to 109%So far I’ve had good results with tpu, abs and pla. more to follow I hope.

Very good 3D printer and great support provided whenever I encountered any problems. Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I encountered problems with adhesion to the standard plate. I purchased a glass plate to replace the original and that really did the job. This printer works great everytime with a glass plate. As with any 3D printer though, it requires a lot of trial and error to get the right print you desire especially with really large objects (they can warp) or really small objects with a lot of detail. ReplicatorG isn't so great, but you can fine tune with "Slic3r" which has better options for setting bridge supports and speed etc. Haven't tried any other filaments (i.e. the exotics ones)other than PLA and ABS. Tried dual extrusion with one for bridge support (used PLA support filament) and the other for actual object printout and it worked great (again a lot of trial and error required).

First off, I'll say that the print come out fantastic for larger pieces, i have not yet had a print fail. Comes with two spools which will last you a good while. enclosure shield everything from drafts and out side influences. I would recommend this printer over any i have previously owned (Prusa and Monoprice).I have 2 problems that I think are worth noting. 1 the bed adhesion is amazing, too amazing. I can't remove pieces (mainly miniature) with finer connection from the be without them breaking with deafult settings, I still tweak things to reduce put it either sticks hard or not at all.The right extruder keeps getting blocked each time i remove a filament where i need dismantle the extruder to clear it before i can load a new filament. The tech team have been quick and very helpful, so i at least have reached a point where i am comfortable to do this. For this i will make this 4 stars

Love it. Easy to assemble as there is not much to do and easy set up. So from receiveing the package to assemble and levelling the bed to doing a test print was done under a hour. Within a total of four hours I had printed my first part of my shoretrooper helmet.Overall this is a great bit of kit easy all round printer as I have just got in to 3D printing if you are looking cheaper then this might not be for you but it is less messing around than the cheaper ones which you have to build which takes ages. The price seems a little high at first glance but it is fair and it is a great printer for the price.

Overall, I'm really pleased with the FFCP printer so far. I did some initial test prints, which were impressive, though incredibly difficult to remove from the standard bed (but I was intending to upgrade to borosilicate glass to mitigate this, anyway, so no worries). Couldn't recommend this seller (Technology Outlet) more; I had some shipping issues with a third party that I chose, resulting in the item being erroneously returned to sender, but Technology Outlet re-shipped without qualms and were extremely responsive and professional (cheers, Tim!). All in all, very positive.

Well what can i say.The company i ordered this printer from delivered on time and damage free, so kudos to them. The printer itself is fairly well made and easy to operate. Easy to operate but not easy to master. The manuals are fairly sparse, luckily youtube and other sites offer a wealth of knowledge and help.My first three prints failed due to lack of knowledge not due to the printer, but each failure teaches you something.Value for money? Most definitely.Happy with my purchase

This is my first 3D printer and all I can say it WOW its bloody brilliant I have owned for 2 weeks and its perfect everytime with out a failed print yet.. I dont know what all the negative comments are about, solongs you follow the instructions i.e. level the bed correctley your away printing in 20 minutes.

I have the original wood frame Creator this is based on - still going well after four years - as this is based on an open source design, there are no end of upgrades to tweak it to do things it can't do straight out of the box. An ideal machine if you like tinkering and adapting.

14.10.2017

Very impressed with this as my first 3D printer. It is very easy to use but the software it comes with to design items is very poor but thankfully there are plenty of free ones. The slicing software is adequate for a beginner and is seamless

28.6.2020

At £399 you'll be hard pushed finding anything close to this elsewhere. Most of the vital parts are opensource so can be upgraded/repaired easily if needed. These are selling twice the price almost at other retailers, grab a bargain.
