Overall, I like this Dermalogica Thermafoliant Body Scrub. It comes in a grey 177ml tube with flip top cap inside a grey box with gold accents.-It is legitimately THICK like a gritty vaseline ointment-Some may find it a little hard to spread due to thickness, but it isn’t bad-Definitely gritty, but very very fine physical exfoliating pieces that I don’t feel much when rubbing between two fingers, but I can feel when rubbing over a little larger of an area-Does not lather-One of the times I tested it, I used it as a hand scrub and I could definitely feel some mild scrubbing and it actually felt a little moisturizing afterwards-Due to the consistency, this is something I have been using in targeted areas like my chest or bottom while I’m in the shower. Otherwise, I feel like a lot of it gets lost if trying to spread out over a huge area-It has an interesting subtle smell that I like... perhaps reminiscent of the grapefruit peel oil-I like the ingredients (I took a picture of the full list)-Made in the USA-Has not caused any irritation to my sensitive skin (I have eczema)-It is fine-Just using your hands to apply is okay, but I like to scrub with either my silicone or mesh scrubber. It feels more effective that wayOverall, I like this body scrub. It is different than others I have tried and definitely the thickest. It may not be for everyone. I would consider this mildly physically exfoliating, so you may be disappointed if you want something tougher with larger exfoliating pieces. This also does have things like lactic acid to help exfoliate.I can’t speak to claims of this product brightening dull skin yet, but overall, I think it is worth a try if you are looking for a very thick but mild scrub for targeted areas of the body.I have tried some other dermalogica products, and they all seem to be good quality.I hope my review was helpful in some way, and if so, I would love to know-thanks!!

Used this before & after washing.Prefer after so my incredibly dry, aging legs can absorb the light oil before I moisturize.Have to admit, after one use was a bit skeptical but, my faith in Dermalogica prevailed. This thermal scrub has teeny tiny, almost non existent beads. So when you turn off the shower to rub in scrub, you think hmm.But you know some of your fave exfoliators have no beads so you keep going.First use, could feel the warm thermal in my hands but not on my skin. Then I went outside & noticed had a bit of a "sunburn" on the more needed areas.Couldn't feel a thing and kinda liked the hint of color. So applied sunscreen. Now~ my skin is going through the aging, drying process.Which is why it's So Important when you're younger to be vigilant with hydration.I tell you this bc it took 3 uses to see & feel noticeable difference.I have all the tools but I realize after dropping 200 bucks on a Glo Pro,I'm not a body tool person. I need product. Something I can scrub on & wash off in the shower. So yes the scrub is not cheap but if it gets used, cheaper than the 200 bucks sitting in my cabinet.Turns out I didn't need the Glo Pro.Needed Dermalogica's Therma Exfoliant to bring back my glow. That's what it's done. Improved tone & skin glow on my 50 yo skin.

I am struggling with my chest acne recently. This Dermalogica Thermafoliant Body Scrub has been great at exfoliating and smooths and energizes my irritated, itchy gross chest acne. If you are one of those girls that you worry and care about what cosmetic companies add for their ingredients, this product isn't so bad for the nature and for yourself. A lot of body scrub products contains micro-plastic ingredients to cheap out, to maximize exfoliating effect. This Dermalogica Body Scrub contains Polylactic Acid. Poly(lactic) acid (PLA) is a biodegradable aliphatic polyester, PLA sometimes called polylactide, which can be produced by fermentation of renewable resources such as corn, cassava, potato and sugarcane. The biodegradability at temperatures below 60 oC is very slow, it takes several years to biodegrade. PLA is expected to biodegrade within 6-12 months.I own a septic tank and a well for our house. I definitely worry about what I flush into my water septic and what goes to my well. Overall, Dermalogica did great job on using natural, eco friendly ingredients. I wouldn't be so mad about the higher price for the good ingredients after all. This body scrub did great job calming and helping to reduce my chest acne. I would highly recommend trying this body scrub!

The Dermalogica Thermafoliant Body Scrub comes in a matte-soft-finish light gray 6oz plastic tube. When I first read this was formulated with castor and tea tree oil, I assumed this would be coarse and heavily scented with the aforementioned tea tree. I was completely wrong. And I'm pleased to be proven wrong, in this case. The pale, petroleum-white, gummy, thick scrub has an extremely fine gritty texture and the scent is slight and medicinal. When applied, you gently massage the product onto wet skin and shortly after, rinse with warm water. Alongside being a mild physical exfoliant (polylactic acid, biodegradable PLA), this is formulated with malic and lactic acids.Suggested use says 2-3x a week.I would suggest patch testing first, then easing into use, starting with 1x per week until you are sure you tolerate this. Also, I personally, would not use this on the face. I have sensitive skin, and while I like the overall formula and feel of this product, I think it is better suited for the intended use on the body. This is a fantastic scrub. The components focus on exfoliating or nourishing/anti-inflammatory. No over-the-top horrible (added) scent. I'm very pleased with the use, thus far. I have sensitive skin and have tolerated the application of this scrub.

Dermalogica treats skin care with the approach of scientists and after so many products, I trust their brand. This is a body scrub and while I would spot test with most products first, I just rubbed it all over my body and face from the get go. It smelled like grapefruits and herbs and had a weird warming sensation. After which I sort of got scared to look in the mirror because I do have sensitive skin especially around my eyes and stuff. Thankfully it was all good, the ingredients being gentle and natural as usual. So since the first time, now I just use this all over when I do use it, because I don’t like to bother with too many products. I do put it on my face last so I don’t have it sitting there for a long time.It doesn’t feel squeaky clean though on its own, and it doesn’t claim to be a cleanser. It’s recommended use is 2-3 times a week so I only use it every few days especially when I’ve gone nowhere and don’t feel the need for squeaky scrub down session. Over a few weeks of use, it’s keeping my skin looking smooth and shiny with much less dead skin and dry flakes. Overall, low maintenance body skin care that can be incorporated into routine without extra trouble.

This arrives in a chic box. And, when you remove the cap of this tube, you will notice a little silver seal. Pull this away and put the top back on. Both of these elements keep your products well-protected during shipping. Love this! Now, the scent is a little surprising. Maybe a little medicinal? With that said, I don't see it as a "bad thing." It's just different.Likewise, this emerges really, really thick. A little like toothpaste, but considerably thicker. This means that you really need to work-in this product. But, the pay-off is huge. This has a great gritty feeling. And it rinses away pretty easily. My skin was left baby soft and ready for moisturizer! This is a pretty unique product. Therefore, if you dig things that are really different (and I definitely do!), then this is a great choice! Wild stuff! Recommended!

The Dermalogica Thermafoliant Body Scrub comes well-packaged in a sturdy tube and box. The scrub is a thick substance with a noticeable yet mild grapefruit scent. I used about a nickel sized amount on my arms. You massage it into wet skin and rinse off. The fine, grainy scrub feels really soothing as it exfoliates and there is a slight warming sensation. It's gentle but effective.Thermafoliant Body Scrub rinses off easily to reveal, smooth healthy skin but leaves a slight, protective film. My wife's and my skin get quite smooth and stay soft between uses (2-3 times a week). The box packaging is also attractive with its gold foil accents. After using a few of their products,I'm finding Dermalogica to be a quality brand.Made in the USA~ Kort

I was very surprised that this Deemaligica body scrub came out kind of looking, and certainly feeling, like Vaseline. The major difference here (besides everything) is that this scrub rinses clean very easily unlike Vaseline. I used my hand to help it along vs only using the shower head to rinse it away, but even so, it was an easy process. I expected it to be difficult. Theres no fragrance in this. And it is only mildly gritty in texture. It still left my skin feeling moisturized after my shower. I quickly rubbed in a good body cream and my skin stayed softer longer than if I hadn't used the Dermalogica scrub. Dermalogica is a well known and respected brand and it is one ive grown to enjoy and trust.I recommend this product.

As you may know, some Dermalogica products, while generally excellent, can be priced into the stratosphere. This refreshing body scrub is a happy exception at just over $7 an ounce. At the time of this review has an admirable free returns policy, too. That’s unusual for skincare, making this exfoliator well with a scrub. It’s an oversight to not include the full ingredients list in the listing and we urge the good folks at Dermalogica to add them here. In our experience, few will want to order a skincare item without knowing what’s in it. If in the mood for detective work, you’ll find the full list at the company website and clicking a link to undercover it. Happily, the ingredients are natural—just what my wife looks for.

This is a really really thick body scrub. Its not easy to spread on larger skin areas due to how thick it is. What I love about it is how smooth it makes my skin feel after use. I like to use on my legs to get a better shave by exfoliating the area. It takes a bit of work to get it rubbed into the areas as it doesn't really lather, its more of a thick balm. But the results are wonderful. I love that it has tea tree oil because thats the only thing that has helped me with acne and keeps breakouts on the body at bay.

The Dermalogica Thermafoliant Body Scrub consists of exfoliants and antioxidants. It is a thick off-white translucent gel, which comes in a six-ounce squeeze tube. As I rubbed it on, I could feel grit in the gel, indicating that the gel uses both mechanical and chemical exfoliants. I left it on for only a short time. It can be removed with warm water. The result was to leave my skin pink, smooth, and clean. It works well.

I absolutely love this body scrub. It smells wonderful and works really well. The scent is very light and natural (exactly what I’ve come to expect from dermalogica products). You only need a little bit of the product since it is quite thick. I love how smooth and hydrated my skin feels afterwards. I especially like to use it on my feet and hands. Lovely product and well worth the $44 price!

I love exfoliants. This is a thick cream. It does not spread evenly because it is so thick. It is an exfoliant so there is some grit in it. The grit is not abrasive and it is fine enough to use on your face should you wish. The smell is not overpowering but it is different, doesn’t last long. This scrub leaves my skin feeling soft. I don’t think there is much moisture being retained.

i rly enjoy dermalogica skincare products so i wanted to try one of their body ones. this stuff is way nicer than apricot scrub! it’s fine and not too rough for my skin and i feel smooth after. it rinses clean and the squeeze tube is super convenient for dispensing in the shower. i like it a lot and it’s better and gentler than some cheap sea salt in oil scrubs i’ve gotten on here.

Unlike most body scrubs which come in tubes, this one is thick. Imagine a toothpaste with a lot of grit, and that's the texture you get here. Once combined with water, it spreads very easily and isn't too abrasive, but the perfect amount for the body. The scent is natural and citrusy. My skin felt really nice and soft after use, so this will definitely get added into my routine!
