If you're a diehard fan of David Beckham, you've probably already bought 10 of these and won't bother reading any reviews, even if they state that this smells like a dogs freshly laid Mr Whippy. Fortunately, then, that this fragrance is actually pleasant. It's quite light and fresh, and hits my nose with moderately strong hints of talcum powder. I find that favourable. But do realise than Mr Beckham didn't actually create this scent, he probably just got a whiff of it in a laboratory and said "I like that" to a couple of options. Also remember this is a body spray and not an anti-persiprent, so it won't stop you sweating. It's days to use. Like most high-street brand deodorants, this has a twist top with 'on' and 'off' positions. 'Off' has a pause symbol, whereas 'on' has a play symbol - which I find pretty meh – and to be honest, with the fragrance and the design of the branding and the canister itself, it does generally 'feel' like an average high-street brand of deodorant. I could swear I've owned another can that smells almost identical to this – think of those store-brand exclusive you get at Next or other highstreet stores – albeit this has higher price tag than the rest. So, what do I think? I can't wholeheartedly recommend this as an essential purchase, but it does smell attractive, and I'd imagine it doing well with teenagers and avid Beckham fans, but I'd rather receive it as a gift than buy it myself (especially if it stays at £5 per can). Look out for a 241 deal at your local well-known supermarket if you're not fussy about a particular brand of deodorant.

This is a pleasant change from the typical offerings of men's budget range body sprays and can be layered for lasting scent with the shower gel and aftershave. although it follows the typical male fragrance popular notes of woods, mint and other zingy herbs it has a much lighter touch which makes it a sweeter and less 'in your face' but still lingering experience. It says that there is mojito accord suggesting sugar syrup, lime, mint and rum blended, I get the mint but there's a pineapple tone to it for me, others have said it reminds them of old fashioned sweets at first then gives way to powdery woody scents dominated by musky cedar. It doesn't hang around strongly for long, and it won't last much longer than 2-3 hrs if you're lucky. The sweet note lingers as well as the mint and cedar but it settles down rather than shouts, though we found it does travel some distance with people more than 8 foot away noticing the scent in a good way.Dry skins we found tended to drink up the scent and not last as long as on oilier skin.Overall a pleasant day to day scent ideal for someone wanting to graduate from Lynx blends or to reduce the usage of your more expensive aftershaves or some thing wearable to chuck in your gym bag to freshen up without going overboard.

The Beckham range is now well established providing good value attractive everyday fragrance and this Classic variant meets this brief very effectively. The blurb would have you believe there are all sorts of elements in the blend from gin and tonic to lime to nutmeg, but the vast majority of users may well struggle to discern them all. What you can say is that this fragrance is very warm and not overpowering making it a good choice when you want freshness and fragrance both for work and an evening out. I could not discern the citrus edge that is supposed to be here-there is certainly not that sharp intense shot of lemon like you get with Aqua di Gio for example, but there is a spicy edge and a woodiness which comes through more discernibly. The design on the can is a bit uninspired, but you do get a lockable cap which is handy. In any event given the price and size of can you can give this a go to see if it suits you personally without much risk-it is certainly worth trying and further matching products can be bought if it suits your style.

I am very fortunate to be able to review a product I love and for which I now have three 'layers'. The layering of a fragrance, using different products from the same range - in my case after-shave, eau de toilette and now the Body Spray means that you are able to create something approaching an 'aura' for the sense of smell - such that the fragrance is not overpowering but infuses almost to give you accents of that fragrance with every movement of your body.In this case the Beckham range is one I have been searching for for decades since my 'original' French Made product went out of production/ceased being on sale in the UK.I cannot describe a particular fragrance in words but will say that this subtle, yet masculine fragrance suits me absolutely and I feel smart because i have been buying (yes, buying) Beckham products for a while now - and they are at such an affordable price for a classy product, none less the case with this body spray.Try it for yourself and I don't believe you will be disappointed.

I was asked if I’d like to review David Beckham Classic Body Spray 150ml, and I said yes. This arrived well packed by Amazon.‘Classic’ Body Spray was launched in 2013. On the front of the aerosol you’ll find the name of the fragrance along with David Beckham’s name.I like the modern design for this aerosol can, you have to get hold of the top of the aerosol and turn in anti-clock wise to open it and press the button on the top to release the spray. If you want to close it, (then it can’t be sprayed accidently), you turn the top clockwise, (I think that’s a good idea).‘Classic’ top notes include fresh citrusy flavours of gin and tonic, lime and galbanum. Middle notes include cypress, nutmeg and fresh mint. Bass notes include warm woody base of vetiver, cedar and amber. The spray has a warm and woody fragrance, which is ideal for any age and will help you to stay smelling fresh all day. This body spray with the matching aftershave would make a nice gift for Christmas, Birthday or Valentines Day.

"Intimately" is another decent fragrance from the Beckham range, which has already produced some great offerings like "Blue". As I own both, I'd class this one as a more musky fragrance, and closer to what you might expect from an eau de toilette.Despite this muskiness, it's not overpowering. This does however mean that it seems to wear off quicker than others I own, which is disappointing. I've also had no issues with it depositing white residue on dark clothing, though your mileage may vary.My main qualm with the Intimately is the bottle itself. It has a rather ridiculous top, where it's not easy to see whether it's locked or unlocked, and to dispense it you have to push the flat inner circle directly on top. That's not a huge problem, but it's such a simple thing that they've had plenty of time to get right.Four stars for the good fragrance (though perhaps a more special occasion spray), losing one because of the stupid bottle design and its slightly limited durability.

The verdict on this David Beckham body spray/deodorant had to go to a linesman’s decision. My husband – who was a big fan of David Beckham’s football skills – didn’t like this product, but I did. After using it, he said that it was sticky when he first sprayed it, but the feeling went after a few minutes. He also said that the scent was too feminine, and that the marketing description was ridiculous. He’s an old-fashioned type of chap, so I decided to test it myself. I liked the swivel opening – similar to a Mac spray – and thought that the smell was really nice, and not at all like perfume. I didn’t find it sticky – but then, I shave my armpits. The scent lasted the whole day, but it wasn’t overpowering, and it performed as well as any antiperspirant.I am not a fan of celebrity endorsement products, but this deodorant is very nice. It would appeal to those who are prepared to pay for a more exclusive brand than the usual choice found on supermarket shelves.

This David Beckham Classic Deodorant is the perfect spray for teenage boys and young men or in my case my 58 year old husband who has taken a shine to the David Beckham range. It comes in a understated grey spray can and has a citrusy smell with a woody base note. The citrus and cypress top note lasts for a couple of hours and the spicy woody base note lasts for considerably longer … I could still smell it on my husband a good six hours after he used it.It’s priced around the same as the Lynx deodorants and contains the same quantity of 150ml. It works well as a deodorant and keeps body odour at bay very successfully … although my husband has declared that he doesn't have any body odour to worry about … not that he can notice anyway.Mmm, not sure I agree.Anyway, this Beckham Classic Body Spray Deodorant smells lovely, work wells, is a reasonable price and would make a fantastic stocking filler for any man.

As with the matching EDT, this deodorant will surprise many with its warmth, spice and all round attractiveness. It is not the most complex fragrance ever and you will have some difficulty separating the supposed elements that make up the blend, but having said that it is an appealing scent with real warmth and a focus very much on spice and woody elements with amber and cardamon the most recognizable. It is fine for everyday use and works especially well if you want to go out for the evening and are looking to wear something which is not going to be too sharp or overpowering. It doesn't last all that long, but then 150ml is a fairly generous measure. The can has a handy twist lock top which means you need never spray it by accident. At the price this is certainly great value and if you are after an attractive everyday deodorant you need not hesitate.

This is very classy looking deodorant spray canister - standing six inches tall in a matt black overcoat - decorated with elegant silver writing and flourishes. The writing is too tiny for anyone but an elf to read, but no matter, I trust David Beckham and already like the Instinct fragrance.Made by Coty of Paris, in Portugal, the provenance and quality is rock solid. To turn on the spray, twist the textured gripper to one side and press down. Immediately a wake me up, masculine, crisp and yet intimate scent is released. Hints of eau de cologne, citrus, menthol, geranium, all reassuringly old fashioned notes; I really like the additional scent that goes with this most effective deodorant.Who could resist a guy who used this - just give a sideways smile as DB does so well and relax, all will be well.

This David Beckham Beyond Body Spray is the perfect spray for teenage boys and young men or in my case my 58 year old husband who has taken a shine to the David Beckham range. It comes in a understated grey spray can and has a pine scent with a woody base note. The citrus and cypress top note lasts for a couple of hours and the spicy woody base note lasts for considerably longer … I could still smell it on my husband a good four hours after he used it.It’s priced around the same as the Lynx deodorants and contains the same quantity of 150ml. It works well as a body spray leaving a delicate and not too overpowering scent.Anyway, this Beckham Beyond Body Spray smells lovely, work wells,is a reasonable price and would make a fantastic stocking filler for any man or teenage boy.

Thanks to Amazon, I had the opportunity to try both this and the 'sport' version from Beckham's new range. As someone who tends to stick with the Sure / Right Guard school of deodorant, I was actually quite surprised by this. It smells more towards what you might expect from an aftershave - probably the best way I could describe it is as a slightly toned down version of Lynx. The citrus and woody notes really come through, and like the Sport version it's fresh and masculine without being really 'in your face' like Lynx can be. The only reason I give it 4 stars rather than 5 is the price - £4.20 (at time of writing) - which is arguably a little high. But in general, the product is very good, and I found it sticks around all day - in a very good way. Would happily buy this again.

The best thing about this aerosol spray is that it is compatible with almost any of the aftershaves and eau de toilettes in Coty`s Beckham range. As a stand-alone product, the spray has the same light, but slightly sharp scent-base; hints of sandalwood, cypress and lemon, perhaps; masculine, not flowery and not really overwhelming after application. The can has a neat locking top and a large push-button, a fairly compact aerosol in line with current trends for smaller and sleeker designs and efficient in delivering a controlled spray.I like the scent of this, but the pricing is much too high for a product of this kind; it`s uncompetitive at the current asking price (nearly £5)and a celebrity branding doesn't justify that.3 ½ stars because of the pricing.

More from brand Beckham's move into the body products market. This is a 150ml tube of body spray. It's an aerosol, but designed a little differently to how those usually are. No cap or nozzle on top. You just twist the black top quarter of it, then press down on the top, and out comes the spray. Twist it to the side again and it locks it, leaving it unable to spray till put back into the spraying position. The body itself has a reasonably strong scent for a brief time after being sprayed, but doesn't really stand out after that. You'll see from the price though that this isn't trying to be a top of the range spray. Just a good basic one. And for that price, the well designed container, and the fact that the contents do the job, it's worth four stars.

The David Beckham ‘Classic’ Body Spray is pretty much your run-of-the-mill style deodorant spray – only that it’s been endorsed by a celeb. The can the deodorant comes in is quite a nice, study and compact design that’s good for quickly throwing in a gym bag etc. There’s also a handy little ‘locking’ mechanism at the top to prevent it accidentally spraying deodorant everywhere when loose in a bag etc.Scent-wise it’s a pretty decent smelling deodorant. Think light and slightly summery with hints of ‘classic’ men’s spice. That vague description’s probably not helping or doing the deodorant any sort of justice. I guess its best just to say that it’s very pleasant. I like it. My wife (and kids)like it on me.So all in all not a bad deodorant at all.
