I purchased a Quartz Blue Lacquer/Rhodium Plated CROSS Townsend Pen, which was beautifully balanced in my hand. It is also stunning to look at when the light reflects of the diamond engraved body pattern. I was so impressed with this pen, I decided to compliment it, by purchasing the Black Lacquer/Rhodium Plated version.The Pen was delivered using Prime Next Day Delivery and as expected was beautifully balanced in my hand. The Black Lacquer finish with Rhodium Plated appointments gives the Pen a real sense of Quality and Class. Both pens sent by Amazon included a Luxury Gift Box which lead to a certain amount of disappointment concerning this Townsend Quartz Blue Lacquer Pen.The Townsend Black Lacquer Pen came with a Substantial Snap-Hinged Box which looks absolutely amazing. I would certainly classify this as a Luxury Gift Box and is very much in keeping with this Pen’s relatively expensive price tag. The problem is that this Amazing Luxury Gift Box highlighted how BASIC the so-called Luxury Gift Box was that came with this more expensive Townsend Quartz Blue Lacquer Pen. Perhaps Pictures of the Gift Box that the Pen's include should be shown as part of Amazon’s selling protocol. Had I not purchased the 2nd Pen, I would have been none the wiser, concerning the Huge difference in Gift Box Quality for the same Pen Range. The saving grace is that I can display both my Townsend Pens in the proper Luxury Gift Box and they look Fantastic side by side.If I have one slight issue, Gift Box aside, it would be the Cap-End appointments not being perfectly flush with the Cap body and are somewhat sharp/jagged. I believe this would be unlikely to cause me any injuries and may well smooth out with usage. That said it does somewhat let down the otherwise High-Quality finish of both my pens.All in All, I think both pens are wonderful and really glad I have purchased them from Amazon, for a competitive price. This Quartz Blue Lacquer pen really does look stunning when used in bright Sunlight.

I have been an avid pen collector with some very iconic fountain ones in my collection that is used occassionally for occasions. I have also a collection of special ballpens for everyday use that is exquisite and fit into my hand. A good EDP (everydaypen) motivates you to write better, write more often and is good for your work and mind. For that, I often chose Cross. An old brand, which seemingly becoming unknown due to less people writing and using keyboards, it once again becomes my favourite shopping brand again. When few buy, I buy. What used to costs hundreds of dollars now costs a fraction. So I bought this Townsend. True to its heritage as a US President working pen, it cant be better.For the price, this is super value and highest performance. Amazon is also the best place to buy it. What the ballpen has over the rests is that there is no plastic black part that others complained aboud. Its a simple twist and the whole barrel is yours to touch. So I buy high end ballpens becos of this convenience alone. No falling off caps, no scratching of finishes, no dripping ink. And the Townsend is head heavy but still balanced well. It writes smoothly and like the Century II, it is polished to a fault. Will last a lifetime. And easy to sanitise in this covid times as it is metal and can take your alchohol wipes. What a buy!

I love this pen. The weight is just right, the quality rotation mechanism to reveal the cartridge feels like it would work forever, and the ink refits themselves are great. The one that came supplied never seems to last too long for some reason, I don't know if they come with only half-filled refills, but replacements are easy to come by. The colour of the pen is bright and easy to maintain - it doesn't seem to scuff easily. The only reason I have had three is that I lost my first and broke my second in a car accident.This pen is, in short, one of the best CROSS pens I have ever owned. I do a lot of writing, and my colleagues are always commenting on the look and feel of my pen.A great purchase.

Delivery was very prompt, even before the stated delivery date. The item (Medalist/23CT) itself is really a piece of mastery. The pen looks millions of times nicer in person. It looks so posh and the feel of it is incredible. No wonder US presidents are keen on its use. Truly proud to have purchased it.

Bought has a Christmas present for my wife. She really enjoys using it but always puts it back into the presentation box. It would have been nice to have had a soft pen sleeve to put it in. Pen for life.
