I purchased a Quartz Blue Lacquer/Rhodium Plated CROSS Townsend Pen, which was beautifully balanced in my hand. It is also stunning to look at when the light reflects of the diamond engraved body pattern. I was so impressed with this pen, I decided to compliment it, by purchasing the Black Lacquer/Rhodium Plated version.The Pen was delivered using Prime Next Day Delivery and as expected was beautifully balanced in my hand. The Black Lacquer finish with Rhodium Plated appointments gives the Pen a real sense of Quality and Class. Both pens sent by Amazon included a Luxury Gift Box which lead to a certain amount of disappointment concerning this Townsend Quartz Blue Lacquer Pen.

I have been an avid pen collector with some very iconic fountain ones in my collection that is used occassionally for occasions. I have also a collection of special ballpens for everyday use that is exquisite and fit into my hand. A good EDP (everydaypen) motivates you to write better, write more often and is good for your work and mind. For that, I often chose Cross. An old brand, which seemingly becoming unknown due to less people writing and using keyboards, it once again becomes my favourite shopping brand again. When few buy, I buy. What used to costs hundreds of dollars now costs a fraction. So I bought this Townsend. True to its heritage as a US President working pen, it cant be better.

I love this pen. The weight is just right, the quality rotation mechanism to reveal the cartridge feels like it would work forever, and the ink refits themselves are great. The one that came supplied never seems to last too long for some reason, I don't know if they come with only half-filled refills, but replacements are easy to come by. The colour of the pen is bright and easy to maintain - it doesn't seem to scuff easily. The only reason I have had three is that I lost my first and broke my second in a car accident.This pen is, in short, one of the best CROSS pens I have ever owned. I do a lot of writing, and my colleagues are always commenting on the look and feel of my pen.

Delivery was very prompt, even before the stated delivery date. The item (Medalist/23CT) itself is really a piece of mastery. The pen looks millions of times nicer in person. It looks so posh and the feel of it is incredible. No wonder US presidents are keen on its use. Truly proud to have purchased it.

Bought has a Christmas present for my wife. She really enjoys using it but always puts it back into the presentation box. It would have been nice to have had a soft pen sleeve to put it in. Pen for life.

The pen was bought as a gift and therefore I have not used it. However the presentation box it arrives in is very special and is perfect for a gift.
