First things first this is a trully awesome game to play which is updated (free) nearly every month with new map or models.Having said that DO NOT BUY A USED COPY, this is why...When you install Counter-Strike Source you have to register online (no choice in the mater doesn't work other wise) if it has been used then someone else has registered it so when you come to do it you will be unsuccessful you could try complaining to STEAM but they will just say it is not there responsibility and that you have to get another copy, it is possible to sign in but you would have to know the exact account details of the previous owner so you could sign in as them.

I have a LOT of games, here are some of the best from my collection, World of Warcraft, Battlefield 2142, Day of Defeat Source and Counter-Strike Source. Now i'm a heavy gamer, i play at least 12 hours a week. The best game of my collection has to be CS:S, i don't know what it is about the game, it is impossible to get bored of CS:S. I bought World of Warcraft and payed £9 a month for 1 month, It's not worth it! your better of downlading SilkRoad Online or Hero Online because they are exactly the same but free. Anyway i played World of Warcraft for 26 hours in 2 days and got bored of it very easily. I was addicted to CS:S so i thought i would find a different game to play on,

This game is amazing! It can be quite hard to get used to as some players are very skilled but it is fun even if you only kill one person in 30 games. The bots are not stupid they dont always go the exact route they went in the last game. If they dont see you they wont find you. But if they see you they will stay near the area until they die or you do. You can create a map but it is very hard and you have to be a very good person on computers to make it work.You can cReate a server for friends and make it private by using a password.Although even if you want some practice or tired of dying online you have to create a server to do it.If your computer is old the chances are that it will crash

I got counter strike source with halflife 2 a while back when it first came out. I have played halflife 2 in total about 4 times. Its an amazing game dont get me wrong. However Counter strike source is so addictive. The graphics are awsome. good effects when flashbangs/grenades go off neer you.Because i played the origional counterstrike i was slightly skeptical about this new version. My skeptical mind was put to rest as soon as i entered a server.ITS INCREDIBLE.Roughly one month ago i also bought this game, the reason i bought the game was because of Day of Defeat:source which comes with it. It is an amazing WW2 game, packed with all the great features which comes with the source engine.

You know what?I bought this game recently 5 years after it was released.And guess what.It still is amazingly fun.The game is updated regularly (along with tf2 and other online shooters)If you buy this game second hand it will not work however because to play you need to register online with steam (a game manager facebook page and msn chat for gaming all in one) and enter the cd key. Now if it is second hand, then the cd key will have already been entered and so it will tell you the game has already been registered and you cannot use.so BUY YOUR OWN COPY but when you do then great because many people make their own maps for it that you can use and there are some really extreme cool mods for almost anyone (gun game,

This game is very high quality in terms of production, fast-paced and unforgiving game play, and value for money as two other beta games come with.The graphics are continually updated and are in league with 'Crisis' quality environments except not open and more structured. You join servers for different maps and have all the options for customisation.The game play punishes you for not having a gaming mouse with very high sensitivity and your hand-eye coordination will be strained to the limits. I found myself wondering whether it was worth investing in a gaming mouse or that my reflexes would negate the benefits of having top-of-the-range equipment.The game comes with 'half life:2' and 'day of defeat'

The original counterstrike set the benchmark for online FPS, ever since, FPS games have used ideas from it and developed games with its engine.Counterstrike source is just breathtaking.The graphics are completely realistic to fine detail, the objects move realisticly when shot or pushed, and its totally like real life.In the game, you buy weapons of your choice and set out to complete objectives (hostage rescue and bombing etc), and kill anyone who gets in your way.This game is hardcore in everyway, and i cant put it down.This game is the single best online FPS money can buy. nothing beats it for me, its part of my life now - i play it whenever i can. it is addictive.If you think your an FPS gamer,

hey. im a heavy gamer really (obviously seperate it from my life)and cs:s is definatly the easiest online game in a while. i admit the original engine (cs 1.6, dod1.3 etc) was harder. if you were good at those games. you will not have a worthy oponent on cs:s or dod:s. it is sad 2 say it tho. plus you will loose your aim on 1.6.dont get me wrong this game is the best online game iv played. and is addictive. if you play this game. go ontho the genesisknights server. fantastic server. fantastic admins, fantastic member's/clan. finally a fantastic game. i cant find anything wrong with it

Ive tryed battlefield 2, 2142, swat 4 and all the rest but none compare to this game. The fast paced action just wipes the field of other game. 2 teams 2-64 players god knows how many weapons it all adds up to extreem fun. Unlike other games there are about 6000 servers to chose from so you will never get bored of the same people!!!A first rate game for anyone because its easy to pick up. You dont even need a good computer i run it on 256mb ram and i still have no problem. Internet/broadband i would recomend and the faster the better so u dont have a high ping. BUY THIS GAME!!!

This game is incredeble , highly adictive , easy to pick up. A great game from a pro to a beginner. I bought this a year ago and now all my friends play it!BUT with every game there is a negative point to be made , due to the game bien gso popular there are lot of people who do "hack" , for example aimbot or wallhack which totally wrecks the game , but it doesnt become a big problem due to VAC (valve anti cehat) and the fact that there are 1000's of servers and admins at the ready to ban hackers . So something to watch out forgreat game , a must for any gamer

Although this game is quite old, the enjoyment gained when one plays this game easily compares to modern day games like GTA. The graphics are simple but realistic and doesn't require a top class PC at all. The gameplay is very easy to learn and once you have played it for about a week, you will be hooked. I currently go to a high school and out of a 1000 pupils, over 100 play this game because it is so enjoyable. Even though we have access to more modern games, we still choose this because it is absolutely amazing.FUN. SIMPLE. ADDICTIVE. = GREAT BUY

I do not personally own this game but I have played it with a friend a few times! I am about to buy this truly amazing game! It's a total ACE! I don't normally enjoy war games, but this is certainly a game you cannot ignor!The graphics are life-like, by today's standards and I would recommend this game to anyone who likes to go on mindless killings - it's just that sort of game from what I gather. Superb box set of 3 online games, you get the original Counter Strike: Source, where you can play either the oppresion team, the terrorists or the counter terrorists, then there's the excelent Day of Defeat where you get involved in WWII's opperations, then there's Half Life 2: Deathmatch where you battle against players and teams in the Half Life universe using award winning physics technology that makes a whole new twist on the deathmatch experience!

This is definitely my favourite first-person-shooter and is an amazing game to play. For those new to fps games or gaming in general, this might not be for you as the learning curve is a bit steep, but once you get good it is great fun. It also comes with a couple of other games which are a cool bonus. This retail version is no different than if you buy the game from the steam website, other than it's on DVD plus it is also slightly cheaper.

i know purists will hate the change to a new game. i am a newcomer to this game tho and love it. the graphics look like half life 2. the gameplay is amazing and the guns are awesome to fire.it includes the totally amazing day of defeat source which to be honest is even better.and also half life 2 deathmatch which is ok.and its not expensive. this and battlefield 2 are the best games ive bought in the last year or so.
