I received the hold mix car seat with the Nordik colour pack and also the Fjord colour pack.Firstly the photographs do not do the designs justice, the patterns are lovely and vibrant and the contrast between the external and internal patterns works really well. The main fabric of the car seat is also darker than my photos show, it’s more of a dark grey/ charcoal colour which is really nice.The hood and newborn insert come in a separate bag but these are easily put into place.The car seat comes with a manual with photo how to’s (phew!) and cosatto have a YouTube video showing how to fit it which I found really useful.The car seat can be fitted using just a seat belt and there is a sticker onthe side showing how to fit it however it is made much more secure with an Isofix base (available separately).When using a compatible isofix base the car seat feels very sturdy but it’s easy to release, this is helpful if it’s being used as part of a Cosatto travel system (I believe the hold mix car seat works with the giggle mix and giggle 2 using adaptors?).Overall it’s light and easy to hold, the handle is comfortable even for those of us who have small hands. It’s really easy to reposition the handle as and when required using big red buttons on each side, it does move smoothly between positions. When both the hood and handle are pushed down the car seat fits easily into the boot if it needs to be stored for any reason. It’s a great item and I would definitely consider purchasing other items from the range.
