I used this to build a mid-range gaming computer in July 2016.Generally speaking, it's easier to just plug in one DIMM to get your first boot & post when building a computer, but since it's 2016 I decided to jump in head first with all 32GB installed for first boot...and it worked!Installed with an MSI 970 Gaming motherboard and FX-8370 processor; at the time, the highest 125W processor you can get. Since I don't plan to overclock (not worth it these days IMHO), I went with the 970 Gaming instead of a 990FX board. The default speed for these ram sticks is 1333 according to the 970 BIOS, but as soon as you enable the XMP it jumps right to 1866mhz and has been fully stable ever since.Windows 10 is very responsive, game loads/scene changes are near instant. I will use these, even if only 16GB, from now on. The price is right and they look great, so far I haven't seen them get abnormally hot. I am impressed with the design and build quality that Corsair has given this line of memory.Things to note:a.) These are identical to the Corsair Vengeance line, and the Pro only adds an additional item to the heat spreader for looks. If you don't care for the looks, or just want a black heat spreader, save a couple dollars and jump on the regular Vengeance line if they are cheaper. The modules are identical.b.) Like all memory, heat spreaders make them thicker, and usually taller. Please take note that these heat spreaders are TALL. I had to give my Wraith cooler (AMD's new stock fan solution, that works great by the way) a nudge to the side and be very careful during installation. There is NOT a lot of clearance here. And with aftermarket heatsink solutions, please check and be mindful of the width near the bottom of the heat sink. The Wraith Cooler & Corsair Vengeance Pro have contact but just barely. If you're OCD, this will be a trigger for you. I haven't noticed any harm done; it doesn't push the DIMM over or anything.c.) Give these babies airflow. Modern RAM makes heat just like older RAM. Maybe not that low voltage stuff, but I digress. Either way, some air flow will keep your system happy, especially if you aren't in an air conditioned environment.d.) Just keep your system clean and you'll be thankful in the end. Heat kills electronics. Some heat is fine (and normal). Just provide ventilation and keep the dust bunnies out of your equipment.

I have an old clunky machine that's served me well since 2014. It was a custom built gaming ring on a tight budget so it only had 8GB of RAM. Well as times get on all the various videos, computer games and video streaming services I'm gorging on left my machine aching and seizing up. "MEMORY MANAGEMENT ERROR" was the diagnosis, I'm sure some of you reading this might very well be here for the same reasons! I spoke with a far more learned friend and asked if I would be better off swapping out my old hard disk drive for a higher capacity one, wrongly assuming that my computer was getting bogged down in read/write antics. He assured me "no,that sounds like a RAM problem."If this describes a situation you find yourself in I'd recommend using CTRL+ALT+DEL > Task Manager > Performance and then open the Resource Monitor at the bottom. If you're looking at >90% usage for that RAM like I was, then this might be a wise investment!Installation was a bit terrifying as my computer struggling to load the BIOS after I'd replace the actual RAM sticks. I swapped back and forth, in and out numerous times and didn't have any luck. At various points my computer even started beeping aggressively, with absolutely no output to the monitor. After a few hours of this nonsense it eventually *did* take. I was excited to see the resource monitor declaring a little over 50% RAM use (confirming that I was indeed going over capacity for what my poor old clunker was capable of). The novelty didn't last long and performance-wise I can't really confirm too much difference.Well... I certainly don't have the sudden freeze frames...And blue screens...So no complaints here!

I have had this product for a year before writing this review, and this 16GB Kit of Vengeance Pro is still going strong and has had a very high performance since day 1. Other relevant components to the build:Intel i7 4790k, 500gb Samsung 850 Evo SSD, MSI Gaming 5 Motherboard.I will use the E.P.I.C scale to thoroughly review this RAM by Corsair.E - Ease of Use (10/10)It couldn't be any easier to install the RAM kit. Literally plug and play. No errors when installed, and 16GB was registered immediately by the board.P - Price (8/10)I paid a bit more a year ago that what it costs now (thanks to DDR4), but I can't argue with the price for the performance it has given me. I use software like Photoshop,Camtasia and FL Studio often. Video rendering is very quick, as is music creation via FL Studio. I've never experienced any stutters or lag when browsing and performing day to day tasks.I - Innovation (8/10)This RAM is primed for overclocking (though I haven't taken advantage of this yet) - therefore it gains a couple more Innovation points, it's been well optimised, and gives a fantastic performance boost to your system, overclocked or not.C - Content (9/10)The RAM looks like a very premium product and the design is great. The label at the front is of good quality and on an MSI motherboard matches very nice with the red.Overall, I would recommend this RAM kit to anyone and will buy another set to increase to 32GB in future.Thank you for reading! If this review helped, please do send an up-vote my way and check out my other reviews for great recommendations!

If you have a sabretooth fx990 it'll work on it even if it's not on the official compatibility list. Rather than buy 16gb 1866 which wouldn't be v.good for overclocking this was on sale so how could I not grab it? fabulous. After some trial and error I got this to work perfectly at full speed (ddr3 2400) with my fx4350 which overclocks the on-cpu memory controller of the fx chip by a whopping 29% but as I watercool my cpu & monitor the temps I feel comfortable with that + I run the cpu at 4.9ghz and it has been ultra stable in every circumstance eg. playing tomb raider on ultra at 100% cpu & passed a p95 stress out for a couple of hours on blend however at the very peak of this year's (2016)heatwave I had to dial down my overclock down one notch to 4.8ghz because when the water temp was ~41c and ambient was ~35c although the delta t was only about ~5c that was the warmest it had ever been and probly just enough to tip it over the edge.In the cooler months from Jan-Jun it was running at 37c water temp with a delta t of about 12c as ambient temps stayed around ~25c and it was rock steady. I know that I could be using a bigger radiator and better high pressure fans to sustain the heavier overclockanyway it helps me kick the upgrades down the road that little bit more. Though aged and reaching the end of ddr3 I haven't found anything in my normal pc usage that has required a larger upgrade yet there is some milage in the old banger still.

I used to use only 4 gigs about 2 years ago when I very first started building my own computers for gaming, then a year ago I went up to 8 gigs which worked amazingly well. Now I currently use 16 gigs because I love leaving 20 tabs open at once for my work stuff, and stuff that I want to look at later, and these modules let me do so. I currently have them at the stock settings at 1866 in both my intel and amd system, Both of the ram modules worked fantastic for both. My amd systems motherboard was able to pick up the xmp profiles on the ram right away, and run them at 1866. I really like how thin they are on the top, and not to crazy with a bunch of useless stuff like other ram modules have had that I have bought in the past. For anyone that bought the blue or red versions of these, I would highly recommend buying a set of the silvers as a second pair if you have the need to. The only con for me was the shipping, I also bought a case with my ram modules, and they shipped together. Amazon did not bother using the h tape method on both sides, which could of caused my memory to fall out of the bottom of the case, this was really unacceptable, they also put a 20 pound case on top of them during shipping, so I wasn't to happy with that either. 5 stars for the ram 2 stars for shipping.

I've only received this today so I will do any update that's needed in the future regarding reliability etc. This review is about installation and first impressions.I'm using this to replace a pair of 4gb Corsair Vengeance LP sticks @ 1600 mhz. I need to put the 1600 mhz sticks back in a cpu bundle I'm selling so I needed to get something asap. I've put them in a 4770k build on an MSI G45 gaming motherboard so visually it's a nice match in red, The sticks themselves are good lookers too so I'm happy so far.Fitting was straight forward and unlike the bundle I had the low profile sticks for this has a water cooler for the cpu so there's no headroom issues like you get with a lot of aftermarketair coolers.Installation went without a hitch as well one reason why I grabbed these was because these were stated as running at 1.5 volt's and I didn't want to get any that required a change to the voltage if I could help it. So I chose 2133 in the folder and they were immediately accepted and it's running fine, As I'm doing this review I've had prime 95 stress testing the system in the background, I've only got a 4.1 o/c on the cpu but it's running fine so I'm very happy for now.

I purchased this RAM to use in an ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 Mainboard and an AMD FX 8320 processor. It was to replace an older set of components in a Desktop Computer running Win 10. Although the RAM can be overclocked we elected not to do so, allowing it to run at 1866 MHz.The order was placed at the same time with Amazon as the Mainboard and CPU. The RAM arrived two days later than the board and CPU. I would have preferred all to arrive at the same time but the ultimate user was in no particular hurry so no harm done. In future I will plan my order differently, but as this RAM runs so well and my customer is so pleased I would definitely order again (why deviate from a winner). My customer uses the PC for his business which involves using the PC almost 100% of the time so performance is vital to his success. This RAM has proven itself since I installed it November 18, 2015. It seems to run cool and much faster than the 5 year old DDR2 that was in his older PC. At the time I ordered this RAM the price was very fair and I have no regrets making this purchase. On my next job I will turn to Goodios again for RAM.

I couldn't wait for some memory to show up on kijiji in my city any longer so I bit the bullet and ordered 1 package of 2 / 8MB RAM. I do not have "Prime" and I ordered on a Saturday afternoon and I got an email on Sunday saying it was shipped and when I got home on Monday... voila... it was here!! That was amazing! One problem though. Instead of giving me 1 box of two pieces of RAM, Amazon accidentally sent 1 box of 10 packages of two pieces of RAM. Before I opened it up, I thought the package was a little large and bulky. So, I suddenly had over $950 worth of product that I paid $95 for. I could have used 4 sticks of memory but my darn parents raised me properly and I sent them all back except the one I paid for.Amazon appreciated my honesty. It was the correct thing to do folks. I am not a thief! Other than that hiccup, the memory works perfectly. Was easy to install and my machine of 9 years runs a lot smoother. Now I just need a faster i7 processor!! It was an experience. We all make mistakes but in the end everyone is happy. Cheers!

I took my PC from 16 gig to 32 gigs with this ram (i had two existing identical ram to begin with). I dont regret buying this extra ram. gaming seems pretty much the same maybe an extra few FPS thats about it. the real difference is in multitasking , i can have multiple complex windows open at any one time with no lag. i can play a graphically demanding game and still have stuff running in the background ! its worth remembering though i do have a 8gig GPU as well. with 32 gig of ram and 8gig GPU things multitask beautifully. the most demanding game now demands 16 gigs so , 32 gigs i have future proofed for a few years. i must mention the price. i bought this product for approx £127.00 since ,i have seen it for as low as £97.00 and then rocket to £180.00 ish pounds. buy it at the right time is my advice. overall money well spent. multitasking is silky smooth and no lag ! what else can i say. buy it ! but at the right price £180.00 is way over the top.

Super memory modules installed on my my Asus Sabretooth 990fx.This memory defaults to 1333Mhz 9-9-9-24 settings when initially installedTo set this memory to 1866Mhz settings, I1) Went into the Bios2) Updated the Frequency to 1866Mhz3) Set the timings in the memory setting screen to 9-10-9-274) Save and Restart the pc.After restarting the PC I got in to windows no problem. I did however notice 1 BSOD reset and an in a game freeze.I went back into the bios and noticed that the Memory Voltage was set to Auto and the value was wavering below 1.5v say(1.48 to 1.49). I then locked the memory voltage to 1.5v, I also noticed that the board defaults the command rate to 1T.I have set this also to 2T as specified on this memory chip.I have the AMD FX-8320 CPU and have this memory at 1866mhs with an overclocked AMD FX-8320 running at 4000Mhz. Now running rock solid at stock settings, no problems

I've long been a fan of Corsair products. I've been working from home since March, and I was running into severe lack of memory problems in my PC. I've got an older i7 970 on an x58 board (runs DDR3 in a triple channel config), and back when I built it, the 6gb I had was plenty. I ran into the issue of having to buy multiple sets. I decided to pull out all the stops and max out the board's 48gb supported (8gb x6 slots). As people have stated, it runs at 1333 unless you enable the XMP profile.I'm not in a rush to build a new computer, since I'm not playing AAA games (World of Warcraft is the most intensive game I play),so I just wanted to update some of the components in my PC to help keep up with the growing system requirements for a lot of the games nowFor the price, this is an excellent option to anyone who's just upgrading an old system that they're not ready (or able) to replace.

Very stable, good for overclocking and that is why it is named Corsair Vengeance Pro. The memory modules are designed to work with Intel Core. I got the memory to work on an old AMD 8530FX/Gigabyte 990FXAUD3 pulled from the closet. The motherboard supports XMP however the memory was not running stable under XMP enabled on this MB. So I disabled XMP and manually changed the system memory multiply to 8. Changed the memory channel A and B from auto to 9-9-9-24. The system ran stable thereafter. The heat spreader is a plus. It is a quad channel memory btw.Another fine product from Amazon!Tips:1. Check with Corsair for MB compatibilty.2. Install the modules in the correct for dual channels slots A/2-4 and B/1-3.Check your motherboard manual before installing.3. Enable XMP 1.3 or manually change the memory muliply to 8 and the memory channels to 9-9-9-24 for 1600 mhz.

These are excellent. I needed some RAM that was able to be tweaked down the road and this is it. The heat spreaders on top are very cool looking, and add to the overall case design. They do stick up rather high, but my corsair h80i pump clears these fine. The tubing from the cooler JUST clears these, and the silver looks good against the black too. I was able to put these in the intel XMP mode so I could adjust their clocks manually in BIOS. These pair exceptionally well with any Haswell processor, and I een have these set up with ASUS RAM disk. 16GB is more than enough for almost any application or game. I used these with Metro: Last Light and Battlefield 4. Amazing speed and performance.EIther they run very cool or the heat spreaders do an amazing job because these sticks are just barely warm to the touch after a long gaming session. Thanks corsair!

I did an AMD APU build for a friend and bought a 2 x 4GB set to get them started.Full specifications:AMD A10-7850K (Overclocked to 4.3GHz).AMD R7 Graphics (Overclocked to 960MHz Core, set to 2GB VRAM).Asus A88x Gamer motherboard.Corsair Vengeance Pro.OCZ Tirion 100 SSD.Windows 10 Professional. The RAM works flawlessly with the APU and, running at 2400MHz DDR3 gives the onboard GPU a little more, much needed, memory bandwidth which helps with gaming over say 1600 DDR3 would.Seems to be running all of the games they've thrown at it so far so it's doing the job nicely.Amazing RAM for a DDR3 setup and, for those that have side windows on their PC's,won't look too bad on display.Recommended.Corsair CMY8GX3M2A2400C11R Vengeance Pro Series 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 2400Mhz CL11 XMP Performance Desktop Memory Kit - Red

Corsair is a company that sells a few products that I use in every build, and their RAM is is some of the best and most hassle free on the market. I had 8GB of the Vengeance Pro sticks but I wanted to take it up to 16. Pops out and pops in. Easy as pie . One quick word of caution though. For some reason, my 8gb package defaulted to 1600mhz out of the box when I built my system. I had to use the CMOS ram clock utility to actually get them to run at 1866mhz. I verified this using another motherboard from another manufacturer. It's a very simple tweak, and I dpoint know if this is the usual exoerience, but that was a bit strange. Beyond that simple fix (you should verify that your RAM timings and speed in CMOS settings are what is advertised anyway),these sticks are just as reliable as I've come to expect from Corsair.
