OK. Before I start ... despite what you see here these modules are NOT 4GB Modules. What you are buying is a 4GB packet of 2*2GB Modules. I unfortunately found this out the hard way and it was later confirmed that there is a mis-match on the code on AMAZON for this product. So look around for more of this memory and try and find the 4GB Dimms. I did once before as I've been building a few machines lately. On with the review ...OK so if anyone has been watching things I've been writing reviews for recently, then by now you will have realised I have been building 3 PC's. One of the things I have noticed that seemed to have changed since I last did a few builds 3 years ago are the memory modules. Now this is not really a technical review. It's a consideration that the modules themselves are around half the weight they used to be a few years ago. The reason for this is obvious when you hold a module in your hand. They feel like the entire thing is made of plastic. I mean everything feels plastic, especially the cooling vanes/fins. The cooling fins etc in the old days were actually an alloy or metal and this added to the weight of the module but nowadays they all feel plastic or ceramic in nature, but a very light ceramic. Which leads me down this train of thought. If they are indeed just plastic then are all the sci-fi looking cooling barbs exactly that ... just sci-fi looking sales dressing? I'm starting to think so. I'm not complaining as the memory modules seem very reliable, run very cool and look great. All good features if, like most people building their own PC's, you want to display the insides of the PC. I would just like to know for definite that the modules don't need cooling vanes and therefore we can mod them as we see fit OR I'd like to know if they are lightweight because they are using some super lightweight ceramic for cooling. Either way I'm fascinated to know what's changed and why. Other than that the memory is excellent quality. If you find this review of interest then please remember to vote and keep the review system alive. Thanks.

I received this product about 5 months ago but have only got around to writing the review now - however - this means that my review can be more accurate and I can comment on the reliability of the ram.I bought this ram to go with my current corsair vengeance ram (not low profile). I bought this low profile version instead of the exact same match of my current version in anticipation of buying a CPU cooler and being worried about the spreaders obstructing the cooler.I installed this ram alongside my current ram without problem - (note: when you are using different ram types make sire it has all the same specs eg: voltage, size, speed, timings etc). The difference of installing this new ram was outstanding as I tend to use programs and games which require higher ram usage (planet side 2 for example). There was an immediate increase in fps and no more lag spikes due to insufficient ram available.I have had this ram in my computer for many months now without any problem at all, and that can be expected from a well known brand such as corsair.Pros:- fast- easy install- computer speed boostCons:- noneJust a few notes:It may be worth checking your BIOS after installing your ram yo see what speed and voltage it is at, for some reason my motherboard had set the speed to 1333mhz and 1.4 volts - so you should manually set it to 1600mhz and 1.5volts to get the most from your ram.The extra ram did boost the speed of my computer - but it may not boost yours, it all depends on what specs your computer has, I reccomend you use a hardware monitoring software and see what has the most usage when your computer is running slowly.

Ordered this product yesterday and received it within 24hrs! Very prompt delivery. Satisfied with the product and the service. Amazon had the best deal and this did not disappoint...My pc is around a year old and it had only 4GB of RAM (same model, bought from a physical store). The primary use is for applications like Photoshop, Illustrator, Mudbox, 3ds Max and also for playing games like Skyrim. Soon enough, I started feeling the limitations of 4GB RAM and the PC became rather sluggish. So I decided to buy another stick of RAM and use it in dual channel mode.Opened the package, installed the RAM in the appropriate slot and voila!Specs are now:Intel Core i5 4670Asus Z87-ACorsair Vengeance CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9 8GB RAM (4GB x 2)Asus R9270X 2GBSeagate 1 TB HDDAfter the seemingly minor upgrade,I noticed a few things:The boot speed is a lot quicker, waiting time is cut down by half. All designing applications had a HUGE performance jump. Everything became instantaneous. As I have yet to test the gaming performance, I can't comment on that. All in all, the Corsair Vengeance 4GB RAM is worth every penny. A solid performer. Just buy it if you want to boost up your system. You won't regret it!

Having an AMD APU I knew that I'd only have a good gaming experience with good RAM. I'd seen this RAM advertised all over and it was highly recommended by colleagues. After it was installed in my motherboard I noticed all my software was telling me that each half was clocked at around 680MHz instead of the advertised 1600MHz (800MHz x 2 per stick). So instead of the RAM running at 1600MHz it was clocked at 1366MHz but is easily clocked back to 1600MHz via the BIOS. No problems there. I noted that the RAM had some fancy heatsinks on board and hadn't taken it into consideration when I went to purchase a new CPU cooling unit. I don't think the heatsinks will be in the way but it's something to look out for.Pros: Fast, efficient memory. Was able to bring timings down from 9-9-9-24 to 8-8-8-24.Looks cool...Cons: Heatsinks can be a mobo space issue.Arrived clocked below the advertised rate.Overall pleased with the purchase and soon I'll be upgrading to 8 or 16 Gigs :) Given that my new cooling unit doesn't throw a fit over the heatsinks :x Otherwise, I'll just get the low profile version. Never had problems with hot RAM so I'm not worried about that.

Perhaps there is better RAM on the market for a similar price.... but in short: I LOVE THE LOOK OF THESE.I used to work in IT so know quite a lot, but I am certainly not a know it all techie sort. But on paper these look good. The reviews seem good. Corsair is a brand I have trusted before. 1600Mhz is a good speed. DDR3 is expected. The Timings on these are excellent. The only downside is 4GB. Is that enough?Depends on what you're doing, Until recently I have 'managed' on 2GB of budget DDR1 in a dinosaur computer. My computer now is blisteringly fast and reliable. All on budget components. So this 4GB is good enough... for now. But the plan is to get a second 4GB in the next few months for dual channel mode. And then either another 2x4gb modules or most likely 2x16 for 40gb RAM. Eventually swapping out the original 2x4GB for a second dual channel 32mb combo. But probably not for another 4 years or so.At the moment I am using the computer for word processing and drawing pictures on mspaint.exe In the near future I hope to push the boundaries of the memory and my computer in general by playing DOOM 3D and Civ2. I hope the 4gb holds up

what more can you expect by Corsair, ive used corsair memory in previous machines but the Corsair Vengeance memory shocked me when first opening the packaging, the heat sinks on these modules are massive, its a good job im not using a massive air cooler like i used to as i wouldnt get the memory in the board.Ive done the windows experience tests where you get results from various parts of your machine and my memory score has gone up from 5.5 out of 7.9 with corsair XMS DDR3 Memory Modules, all the way up to 7.9 out of 7.9 with the Corsair Vengeance, so these memory modules reached the max score. happy daysI will be ordering another 8gb of these.ProsExcellent performance memory with overclockers in mindConsThe heat spreader is HUGE on each of these modules, beware if your using a large cpu cooler, as these may be too large for you to get them in the dimms, even if you take the cooler off and replace after memory is inserted, im using the Corsair H60 water cooler and had no problems thankfully

I bought this RAM two months ago and so far have been very pleased with it, incredibly happy as it is my first build and nothing went wrong (YAY!). It works fine with my AsRock FM2A75-PRO4 motherboard and A10 5800K CPU. The installation was very easy and the RAM looks amazing. The only thing wrong was when I first booted up and checked the BIOS/UEFI the motherboard placed the module as being 1333MHz, which I had to manually change, but this was not difficult. These RAM modules are quite large however, and so if you are using a large CPU cooler (I am still using the stock AMD one) you should check to see if they will fit. I think there are low profile modules also available. All in all, very good memory well worth it and for the price, you can't go wrong.

I have been buying only corsair rams, I bought this for 2400 and they seem very reliable. This would work with processors supporting upto 1333MHz, but it would limit the speed somewhat because the ram is capable of 1600 MHZ.The motherboard should support 1333MHz or 1600mhz or both, and also must be DDR3.I had a little trouble fitting this one in, because there was too much inside of my cabinet. If you have two memory slots, then buy two of these, that way you will get the most speed, If you have 8gb on one and 4gb on another, that won't give you the best of the best performance, but still that's a lot of ram, but I recommend , 4bg-4gb , 8gb - 8gb,combination of rams from the same company and a 64 bit OS would be the best choice for this.

I recently built a small mITX build for my brother in middle school, and kept the price down and the upgrade path open. For your amusement, the build consisted of:Intel i3-3245 CPUAsrock H77M-ITX MOBOWestern Digital Black 320 GB 7200 RPM Notebook HDMI-008 Tower ChassisCorsair Vengeance 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1600 MHz RAMThese have been performing quite well, and are more than sufficient for his homework, gaming, and skyping multitasking. The fact that they're low profile is quite conducive for an mITX build - in fact, I probably wouldn't have been able to finish the build with RAM with heat spreaders.Pros: Price to performance ratio is great, low profileCons: None!

When I first installed this RAM, my mobo's BIOS automatically set the frequency to 1333mhz. I had to go in and change it to 1600mhz myself. However, as soon as I did so I started getting BSODs at the Windows loading screen. At first I thought the RAM was faulty (and maybe it is), but it turns out the stock voltage it was getting (1.5v) wasn't enough for that frequency, so I had to go into the BIOS and increase it a bit to 1.525v, and now it works great. It's not a big deal, but trying to figure out what was wrong, was quite frustrating. For those wondering, my specs are:AMD Phenom II X4 965 BEGigabyte GA-990XA-UD3 moboWindows 7 Home Premium

This memory took my memory Widows Experience Index score from 5.9 to 7.2, and overall score from 5.2 to 5.9, so it is working out great for me. I haven't noticed any performance improvement yet, but once I get a video card to replace AMD integrated graphics, I should hopefully see a noticeable improvement. Or it may be true what the newest research shows, that today's computers don't really get a huge performance boost from added memory since newer Windows OS's manage memory much better than years past (I'm running Windows 7 64-Bit). But for the money, this Corsair memory can't be beat, IMHO.

Fantastic, very fast and great for gaming. You don't need to go beyond 1600mhz for gaming, at least for games in 2014-2015. You may need the better ones for CAD work or something but I haven't tested it for those type of applications, only gaming. You can overclock these a little if you like too and they remain stable but I wouldn't recommend doing it for too long as they get pretty hot fast. If you want to OC, simply splurge like $20 more for the extra mhz and not worry about OC. But like I said before, there's not a single game on the market today that requires anything more than these.

Everything I needed to fully complete my girlfriends computer for christmas.works very well with her A6 6800k and HD 6670 in dual graphics......i didn't plan on getting dual graphics i just had a 6670 doing nothing so yeah.It seems that in real time 1600mhz is not as bad as it sounds. but if you do plan on getting for gaming get 8gb, 4 is not enough now. She's happy with it doing all there work and playing some older games like Prototype and no errors or blue screen so far.Delivery was great and on time even through Christmas and new year. So would defo buy again if i need more haha

I ordered this memory from another site but it had errors and corruption problems. I ordered from here and I have not had a problem with the memory. Have installed in an Asus Motherboard M5a97 along with a Zanbezi 4100 processor. It was a custom build for a friend. I have the same motherboard but diff processor 945 quad with this same memory from Amazon as well but dual 4x2. Works perfect. Neither computers overclocked. Xp Pro in one computer and Windows 7 with dual boot XP HE installed. Hope this is informative.
