ORIGINAL REVIEW: I've ordered this and am waiting for shipment to arrive. But just FYI -- This CORSAIR MODEL NUMBER SHOWN is for "DUAL CHANNEL" MEMORY - not QUAD CHANNEL memory. TheCorsair Model Number for the dual channel memory is as shown in the title - it has a letter A in the model # . . CMZ-16GX3M4"A"1600C9. The Corsair Model Number for the "quad channel" memory has an X (not an A) in the model number. The title of this listing sounds like they're advertising "quad channel" memory. This model # isn't quad channel. It's FOUR RAM DIMMS of DUAL CHANNEL MEMORY -- not the same as single vs dual vs quad channel memory -- which is totally different.I've requested Amazon review and change the title if appropriate to their needs for accuracy.UPDATE Jan 2012Well -- I see that Amazon did change the title of this listing. Good. DUAL CHANNEL MEMORY - FOUR DIMMS - 4GB ea! Now, to report on the use of this memory now that it's been installed for 1.5 months. Obviously, that will depend on the Mobo/CPU combo you have and probably how it fits with your chosen CPU fan/heat sink. Mine is: Asus P8Z68-VPRO/GEN 3 and a Intel CPU I7-2600K with a Corsair H80 Hydro Series CPU Cooler.THIS MEMORY WORKS PERFECT WITH MY MOBO/CPU/CPU Cooler COMBO! FAST & COOL! NO space interference at all.The height of the heat spreaders on this Vengeance series RAM are NOT a problem at all with my CPU Cooler. Zero overlap on the RAM with plenty of room to spare to help keep DIMMS and board cool. In a HAF X, plenty of good air flow. I've read, however, that the spreaders on the RAM can be a problem with other larger types of aftermarket CPU heat sink fans. So, give consideration to this if you're also choosing one of the larger heat sinks that overlaps the RAM slots. Just FYI -- with the H80 my CPU is still on 13 degrees C in a 67F room and Motherboard is staying around 20C. So NO complaints here. Very pleased with how this RAM works with all components of the board, CPU, cooler, etc.ABOUT BIOS: When you install this 1600 RAM on the Asus Z68 boards, it will install at 1300 speed. This is a function of Intel Chipset, but you can set your RAM to 1600 if you want in the Asus BIOS or using the ASUS utilities. Also if you want to use the XMP profile, remember to enable the XMP setting to enabled as well in BIOS. Ability to change settings in BIOS will depend on which board & CPU you buy.

Despite claiming a wide platform of compatibility I had some trouble getting it to work right out of the box so I'm only giving 4 stars. My system would boot just fine but after some period of use my system would lock up. I tried Memtest86 (from memtest.org) and found 100s of errors. I searched Corsair's web site/forum for some answers and found some crucial information for setup on an AMD Phenom II based systems that was not posted on the packaging. Here are some suggestions I gleamed from various threads in Corsair's forums:1. AMD Phenom II's memory needs additional voltage - Set to 1.65v for the memory2.AMD memory controller operates at a maximum of DDR1333 so set the memory clock to 666 MhzIt looks like you can go to the 16000 speed but you'd need to increase voltage to the memory controller and loosen up the timing settings but IMO I can't see a speed difference for that risk of stability.3. Command timing is 2T when using all four chipsAnd on my own I discovered the Bios, version F8 in my Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P, was incorrectly setting the timings to 11-11-11-29 vs. the MFG recommended settings of 9-9-9-24. I changed this manually with no problem. After all this, perhaps two hours of research and nearly a dozen re-boots, I managed to pass Memtest. I'll have to run the system through some hoops to see if it's stabile in real life but I feel much better now after passing a 2 hour intensive memory test.As other's have stated, depending on your aftermarket cooling solution you may have a problem inserting these particular modules as their heat spreaders are tall. I'm using the Corsair H60 water cooler with no problem.I have the following system configuration:AMD Phenom II 955 @ 3.2 GhzGigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P mother board with bios version F8Xigamatec 850 watt power supplyXFX 1GB GDDR5 ATI 48904x640GB WD black HDDs in Raid 1,0Windows 7 home premium 64bitand of course 16GB of Corsair Ram at 666 Mhz (DDR1333) 9-9-9-24 2T

Installed this on new ASUS motherboard. At first it would run at 1333 instead of 1600 in BIOS. When I tried to raise it to its maximum memory rate at 1600, The computer wouldn't boot up. I thought I had defective memory cards. I decided to Upgrade the ASUS Motherboard BIOS to the latest version. Now the mmemory cards run at the correct 1600 speed. I have been using it for the past few months without any problems. It installs easily and has built in heatsinks which keeps the memory cards relatively cool. Great price for 16 gbyte of Memory at 1600 MHz.Update: July 2017 this set of Memory modules have been working great since I installed it five years ago. Unfortunately, One of the modules went bad.I contacted Corsair to RMA the bad memory module and was told I needed to send in ALL FOUR modules from the set to get it replaced. I said I won't have any computer for more than two or three weeks. That didn't seem to matter to them. I send in the bad memory module with all the information they needed to replace it. They replied they still needed ALL FOUR modules from the set to make sure everything is compatible. I told them what if I purchase the exact same module except as a single in not a set. Corsair replied they can't guarantee the module will be compatible with the other three and wouldn't do it. So, I just purchased the exact same module as the set and installed it on my computer. Haven't had any problems anymore. Ran MEMTEST86 and everything came out good in flying colors.I Believe that Corsair could have sent me at least one good memory module to install in my computer so that while I am waiting for the set of four to return I have access to my computer. After I received the good set of memory modules, I can return the temporarily memory module back in the same container the new set came in. Corsair was going to honor their lifetime warranty. But the conditions were unacceptable.

This is not a review, just for info: Computers and parts have been erratic lately with wide price spreads. I am now placing things in my favorites to lock in prices when at low point, waiting for lowest or buy in cart items if prices drop no further. It is similar to locking in a loan rate on a home.I just brought these at $73.74 and had them in my favorites for a week. They are now $89.74. Saved $16.UPDATE: The higher profile of the corsair made them (2x8) easier to install. I now humbly admit that it has been about 4 years since my last dimm installation. I vaguely remembered that the dimm of mixed couples must be a staggered installation (1,3:2,4) counting off from the back of the computer cpu.Since the 2,4 slots were occupied by 4 gig chips, I installed the corsair 8 GB into the open slots. No good, just a blank screen. Reversed the new/old chip installation, still blue screen. Then kept the 8 GB into the slots originally occupied by the 4 gb and then removed the 4 GB's from the installation. That worked and the computer reports 16 gb of ram on board. This appears to mean that installation of dimms must not only be of the same speed, but also all chips must be of the same capacity in GB.Success. I now have 16 gb on board, but have no use for the original 2x4 gb chips. What I encountered was maybe exclusive to my motherboard, an AMD Jasmine (7778}. It is an HP 2378 computer, 3.6 MHz processor, 8 gb ram, on board graphics and audio chips. No speed burner.I have no plans on future expansion since I don't want to try replacing the hard drive, which is 7200 rpm but only a 3 gb transfer rate, which I believe is the bottleneck for this computer. And since I don't play games, I really have no business putting my hands into a computer case. Cruse the web, buy on amazon, play dvd's checked out of the library.... I am 60 and so totally boring.Flog me at will, but I learn.

I have an old clunky machine that's served me well since 2014. It was a custom built gaming ring on a tight budget so it only had 8GB of RAM. Well as times get on all the various videos, computer games and video streaming services I'm gorging on left my machine aching and seizing up. "MEMORY MANAGEMENT ERROR" was the diagnosis, I'm sure some of you reading this might very well be here for the same reasons! I spoke with a far more learned friend and asked if I would be better off swapping out my old hard disk drive for a higher capacity one, wrongly assuming that my computer was getting bogged down in read/write antics. He assured me "no,that sounds like a RAM problem."If this describes a situation you find yourself in I'd recommend using CTRL+ALT+DEL > Task Manager > Performance and then open the Resource Monitor at the bottom. If you're looking at >90% usage for that RAM like I was, then this might be a wise investment!Installation was a bit terrifying as my computer struggling to load the BIOS after I'd replace the actual RAM sticks. I swapped back and forth, in and out numerous times and didn't have any luck. At various points my computer even started beeping aggressively, with absolutely no output to the monitor. After a few hours of this nonsense it eventually *did* take. I was excited to see the resource monitor declaring a little over 50% RAM use (confirming that I was indeed going over capacity for what my poor old clunker was capable of). The novelty didn't last long and performance-wise I can't really confirm too much difference.Well... I certainly don't have the sudden freeze frames...And blue screens...So no complaints here!

I have had this product for a year before writing this review, and this 16GB Kit of Vengeance Pro is still going strong and has had a very high performance since day 1. Other relevant components to the build:Intel i7 4790k, 500gb Samsung 850 Evo SSD, MSI Gaming 5 Motherboard.I will use the E.P.I.C scale to thoroughly review this RAM by Corsair.E - Ease of Use (10/10)It couldn't be any easier to install the RAM kit. Literally plug and play. No errors when installed, and 16GB was registered immediately by the board.P - Price (8/10)I paid a bit more a year ago that what it costs now (thanks to DDR4), but I can't argue with the price for the performance it has given me. I use software like Photoshop,Camtasia and FL Studio often. Video rendering is very quick, as is music creation via FL Studio. I've never experienced any stutters or lag when browsing and performing day to day tasks.I - Innovation (8/10)This RAM is primed for overclocking (though I haven't taken advantage of this yet) - therefore it gains a couple more Innovation points, it's been well optimised, and gives a fantastic performance boost to your system, overclocked or not.C - Content (9/10)The RAM looks like a very premium product and the design is great. The label at the front is of good quality and on an MSI motherboard matches very nice with the red.Overall, I would recommend this RAM kit to anyone and will buy another set to increase to 32GB in future.Thank you for reading! If this review helped, please do send an up-vote my way and check out my other reviews for great recommendations!

If you have a sabretooth fx990 it'll work on it even if it's not on the official compatibility list. Rather than buy 16gb 1866 which wouldn't be v.good for overclocking this was on sale so how could I not grab it? fabulous. After some trial and error I got this to work perfectly at full speed (ddr3 2400) with my fx4350 which overclocks the on-cpu memory controller of the fx chip by a whopping 29% but as I watercool my cpu & monitor the temps I feel comfortable with that + I run the cpu at 4.9ghz and it has been ultra stable in every circumstance eg. playing tomb raider on ultra at 100% cpu & passed a p95 stress out for a couple of hours on blend however at the very peak of this year's (2016)heatwave I had to dial down my overclock down one notch to 4.8ghz because when the water temp was ~41c and ambient was ~35c although the delta t was only about ~5c that was the warmest it had ever been and probly just enough to tip it over the edge.In the cooler months from Jan-Jun it was running at 37c water temp with a delta t of about 12c as ambient temps stayed around ~25c and it was rock steady. I know that I could be using a bigger radiator and better high pressure fans to sustain the heavier overclockanyway it helps me kick the upgrades down the road that little bit more. Though aged and reaching the end of ddr3 I haven't found anything in my normal pc usage that has required a larger upgrade yet there is some milage in the old banger still.

I have been a loyal customer of Corsair memory for eight years. And for one reason: Corsair is the best. I used these DIMMs in my most recent build and once again, Corsair has come through. These puppies snapped in and the computer booted without a hitch. I went with air cooling on this build using the Cooler Master V8 and it worked perfectly with this memory. I was a bit worried these DIMMs wouldn't fit in the first socket of the motherboard with this monster sized cooler. But it fit just perfect and looks great. Just make sure to install the DIMMs first before the cooler. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium (x64) and programs all run super smooth and quick.I haven't tried overclocking yet as I am quite satisfied with the stock speed. The blue anodized color is also a plus for designer systems. Looks great sitting in my Asus P8P67 motherboard. As always, Corsair comes through with a rock solid, reliable, and top quality product. And kudos to Amazon for the great pricing and ultra fast shipping. Thanks Amazon. Bottom line: If you're looking for memory that rivals Corsair's Dominator series for a great price, look no further. My System Hardware:Cooler Master Storm ScoutCorsair HX series 750w PSIntel Core i5-2500Cooler Master V8 CPU CoolerAsus P8P67Corsair Vengeance Blu 16GB, 1600MHz DDR3Western Digital Caviar Black SATA 6GB/s 500GBEVGA GeForce GTX 560Ti Ultimate Graphics EditionWindows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

I used to use only 4 gigs about 2 years ago when I very first started building my own computers for gaming, then a year ago I went up to 8 gigs which worked amazingly well. Now I currently use 16 gigs because I love leaving 20 tabs open at once for my work stuff, and stuff that I want to look at later, and these modules let me do so. I currently have them at the stock settings at 1866 in both my intel and amd system, Both of the ram modules worked fantastic for both. My amd systems motherboard was able to pick up the xmp profiles on the ram right away, and run them at 1866. I really like how thin they are on the top, and not to crazy with a bunch of useless stuff like other ram modules have had that I have bought in the past. For anyone that bought the blue or red versions of these, I would highly recommend buying a set of the silvers as a second pair if you have the need to. The only con for me was the shipping, I also bought a case with my ram modules, and they shipped together. Amazon did not bother using the h tape method on both sides, which could of caused my memory to fall out of the bottom of the case, this was really unacceptable, they also put a 20 pound case on top of them during shipping, so I wasn't to happy with that either. 5 stars for the ram 2 stars for shipping.

I bought this ram to replace my old Gskill 4x4gb 16gb DDR3 1866mhz set I had. Two of the sticks started to produce errors and I couldn't send it in for warranty since I lost my receipt. This ram worked out of the box with my AsRock Z77 Professional-M motherboard. By default it was set to DDR3 1333mhz 1.5v's. I had to manually set it to its rated DDR3 1600mhz. It wasn't an issue. I never had ram that was set to its rated speed since my old DDR 400 set from 2004 lol.The ram heatsinks really do an excellent job at cooling the ram, but they are huge! So if you are using a massive cooler like the Noctua D14, you might run into clearance problems. The only con about this ram is it's X.M.P profile.I don't know if its my motherboard reading it wrong or what, but its X.M.P profile sets the ram to DDR3 1556. Even CPU-Z reads its X.M.P profile as DDR3 1556. It's not that big of a deal since I was able to easily manually set the correct speeds, voltage, and timings, but it is weird. So beware, if you buy this kit, you might have to set the correct settings yourself.Overall, this is a great kit. No errors, fast, and the quality of the ram seems to be fantastic. I highly recommend it.

I've only received this today so I will do any update that's needed in the future regarding reliability etc. This review is about installation and first impressions.I'm using this to replace a pair of 4gb Corsair Vengeance LP sticks @ 1600 mhz. I need to put the 1600 mhz sticks back in a cpu bundle I'm selling so I needed to get something asap. I've put them in a 4770k build on an MSI G45 gaming motherboard so visually it's a nice match in red, The sticks themselves are good lookers too so I'm happy so far.Fitting was straight forward and unlike the bundle I had the low profile sticks for this has a water cooler for the cpu so there's no headroom issues like you get with a lot of aftermarketair coolers.Installation went without a hitch as well one reason why I grabbed these was because these were stated as running at 1.5 volt's and I didn't want to get any that required a change to the voltage if I could help it. So I chose 2133 in the folder and they were immediately accepted and it's running fine, As I'm doing this review I've had prime 95 stress testing the system in the background, I've only got a 4.1 o/c on the cpu but it's running fine so I'm very happy for now.

I wanted to upgrade my PC as the motherboard and processor were about 5 years old.I spent three months on and off checking up on motherboards, memory, cpu's, and cpu fans.I found a motherboard capable of 32 Gb of ram, although I did not want that much right away.I also found the Corsair CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10 Vengenace 16GB 1600MHz CL10 DDR3 Memory Two Module Kit.Although I had never used Corsair before, the many write ups that I read said they were good. The two module 16GB was also perfect as it used only two of the four memory slots on the MB. This will allow me to get a second identical kit later when I am ready to upgrade and increase the Ram.The PC is running extremely well, and I no longer have to click and wait for something to happen. Now it is click and the next page, program, or whatever I am doing is there. I am not a gamer. I use the PC to manage an online company, run support and write not only articles but websites using code not page makers, and the memory combined with the processor( an i7) and motherboard make a fantastic difference to production. So this memory is not just for gamers it is great for all users of PCs.

Wow! From the packaging to the performance, a great set of DIMMs. I have never had memory that looked quite like these. I have always used Kingston memory...(because that was always available here where I live) and decided to take a plunge with these Corsair DIMMs. I have not been disappointed. Not only does it look great with my ASUS P8 Z68, but the performance is fantastic! Such a vast improvement for me. I have read reviews of possible cooling issues, so I just ensure that all my fans are up and spinning and even have my room fan blowing on my cpu case. Also, until I get liquid cooling, I won't be doing anything ridiculous to try and overclock these babies!Side note: They are quite large with the fins,so if you have a small case there may be issues with space...Also special memory cooling fans may not fit over these, so check the specs before purchasing. Also...I was also worried by some reviews of bad memory and failing units...but really that is the risk with ANY computer component...Also, as with any important component, don't do anything ridiculous with unnecessary overclocking / hacking and you will be fine :)

I'm reviewing this because after some googleing, I can not find anyone who has overclocked these and posted results.I purchased these over 2 years ago and have had them overclocked the entire time and running tighter timings the entire time. I was just wondering how far these would go and since I can't find any information on it, I figure I'd tell others what I've been running them at for years now. I've never tested to see how far they would go. I only set this memory speed when I got them and it worked so I've rolled with it.DDR3-1884Bus Speed = 101.2 (Using 133Mhz Strap for memory base frequency of 134.6 Mhz)DRAM Frequency = 942.2 MHZFSB:DRAM = 1:7CAS# Latency (CL) = 9.0 clocksRAS# to CAS# Delay (tRCD)= 10 clocksRAS# Precharge (tRP) = 10 clocksCycle Time (tRAS) = 27 clocksCommand Rate (CR) = 1TVoltage = 1.55v (It might run on 1.5v, I just figured 1.55 seemed good for what I was doing. It worked and I haven't tweaked it)So thats DDR3-1884 9-10-10-27-1T. CPU is i7-3770k @ 4.35 Ghz.When I bought these I paid 80 bucks. In hindsight, I really wish I purchased 32GB then.

As I have had Corsair ram in the past I had no worries about buying this ram. For the price Amazon had on it I made sure this was the one I got. These days with high demand on systems I felt I needed something like this. After ordering my package arrived before the set date and in perfect (easy to open) Amazon packaging. The box for the ram was very impressive indeed! With a flap at the front to open to view the ram and stylish graphics I was very proud to be the owner of this ram. Just before installing I began to worry that the ram would not fit like others said but this was not true as I later found out and the ram fitted perfectly! The Ram sticks were each individually packaged making it easy to remove from the box.Installation was also a breeze and in seconds I had the ram installed. I booted my computer up and all was well. The performance of the ram is great!Corsair had once again made me proud to be an owner of their products! Thanks Corsair and Amazon!Pros:-Cheap-Very stylish packaging-Great performance-Corsair Branded-Easy Installation-Everything!!!Cons:-None!
