Bought these for a dell 3847 with gtx 1060 3 gig. This runs great and added style to my motherboard. I do editing and gaming so i needed more for my 3 yr old dell to keep up. I got this and it pushed the sands of time back at least another 3 to five years. While editing videos things where good with the help of the gtx 1060 3 gig card but when i upgraded the ram from the standard 8 gig green sticks to these 16 gig blue beauties i'm able to do 100% more moving videos at once. What a difference an extra 8 gigs made with these 16 gig sticks. For gaming i was able to max out dead or alive 6 without a stutter in sight . Dead or alive 6 is the most graphic demanding fighting game at this time even more than mortal combat 11.Note i'm also using a gtx 1060 gig GPU. I disconnected the 1060 and just used this sticks standard and it tripled the performance of my Intel i 5 4460 integrated APU (CPU combined with GPU). So if your looking to boost your standard system this is a good place to start. Dead or alive 6 with integrated graphics with the regular green 8 gig sticks got 8 to 12 frames per second (fps). Added these blue beauties dead or alive 6 got 18 to 25 Fps. Also i had to drop the settings of dead or alive 6 to their lowest without the 1060. that's just a side note for gamers who are trying to stay in the game with what you have but the money isn't their. Ok know when i first put these 16 gig sticks in the start up was slow took about 3 minutes. Tried google and bing start up was slow. I watched a youtube video and it was good but etchy. I restarted my pc and it was twice as fast as with the normal sticks i open some tabs and watched some youtube videos, Played some video games and open my editing software and worked o some projects and that's when the performance picked up. So when you put this 16 gigs in let the system boot all the way on then let it run for about five to 10 minutes then restart your system and you should be good. Last note make sure your pc is PC3 12800 I bought the wrong type at first. I recommand this DDR3 16 gig sticks for anybody looking to push the sands of time back of their ddr 3 pc.

These were bought for my first custom PC build ever. I did a lot of research and asked some friends for advice as well as the gurus on custom PC forums. Corsair products were always at the top of the list for parts. When these arrived, I was surprised how heavy duty they are. The quality is impressive and it's obvious these are built to last.Installation was incredibly easy (slide into the slot and apply slight pressure until the tabs on the motherboard click, locking it in place). I started up my PC and couldn't believe how fast it performed! At this point I feel compelled to mention that, if you're not super familiar with computers, there are several (and sometimes many) factors that affect the speed of programs, media, functions, Internet, etc., so don't assume that installing more RAM will fix a slow system. However, more RAM is never a bad thing! Especially if you're a gamer. My motherboard has four memory banks so I'll be adding to these soon. Just waiting to see how these hold up for a bit, but for the moment I'm highly impressed and already a big fan of Corsair.Update: it's been a couple months and these guys are running like its day one still! No hiccups at all and they stay quite cool. I couldn't be happier and have ordered another set.Update 2: I've had these for two years now and am running four of them for a total of 32GB. There has never been a single issue with them. I have several Corsair PC components and they are all incredibly reliable, affordable, quality products. Corsair has certainly won me over and gained a loyal customer.

I wanted to start upgrading my old 5 year or so computer and my computer was lacking ram so i decided to get 2x Corsair 8gb sticks for a start. It came and i been using it for a month or so before i decided to write a review. It is still working and i definitely see an improvement in my computer speed and for gaming. The bad news is i can only use one of the 2 sticks for my motherboard because it only has single channel and not dual channel. It is my own fault for not realizing it sooner but either way i have the extra stick to use for when i do decide to upgrade my computer especially the CPU and Motherboard, then i can take full advantage of the 16gb ram.No BSOD or anything so far, both sticks are working when i tested them. Keep in mind the sticks are kind of big in height and may take up a good chunk of space if you have a small computer case like i do. I do wish the ram sticks were a bit cheaper because 8gb is starting to become the standard for gaming and the price i paid is equivalent to a decent motherboard but oh well hopefully ram sticks will start dropping in price so more people will be encourage to get some extra ram, it really does make a difference. Overall i am happy with the product and it does what it is suppose to.

I was looking at what I could upgrade on my PC and I can not use DDR 4 ram due to my motherboard and realized I was only using 16 out of 32 :O! FOR SHAME! My old ram was 4gb sticks rather than 8gb sticks and so I ventured to Amazon and this is what I found. I ordered after finding it was compatible with my motherboard (ty amazon for making that easy) and my computer damn near shit itself. I use photoshop for all my art needs and it consumes ram more than an american consumes burgers and I had NO issue having lots of things open and still plenty of ram to spare. I will be picking up another pack of these to replace the other 2 4gb sticks I have soon.Amazon makes finding computer parts so much easier.

Unfortunately I cannot see it as it's hidden away in my machine. None the less, a very good piece of hardware. A little bit pricey but you get what you pay for. My new P.C. runs as smooth as a smoothie (bad comparison?). All games and applications run fast and I can run multiple programs at once with ease. You will obviously get better results if partnered with a good processor, motherboard and graphics card as well as an operating system that can take full advantage of this much memory (Windows 7 64 bit is what I'm using)Fit ever so easily into my motherboard and with the heat spreaders I know my P.C. will not overheat because of these beasts of RAM

Pros: Blue, inexpensive, blue, reliable, blue, fast, blue, stable, blue, no memory errors, did I mention they are blue colored? Looking at these I can imagine they are my own little versions of the T.A.R.D.I.S. taking me to worlds and times that can hardly be described. But I digress. My apologies. Both sticks have worked admirably.Cons: Even though they are T.A.R.D.I.S. blue they don't come with a Dr. and they most certainly don't come with a side kick, much to my wife's relief. Also no screwdriver is included, sonic or otherwise.Other thoughts: I need to buy a second set and bump my computer up to 32 GB, maybe then I can time travel.

Now to all new PC builders, why are you getting 16GB. I mean really. You just want to tell your friend you beat his crumby 8Gb with your unbeatable 16GB. You don't really need it unless you're handling huge files or crazily sized photoshop layouts.Which I am. And have no regrets, these 16GB beasts handle anything and everything. My other PC building friend bought 32GB of ram. And I hate him because it's really annoying.Perfect for;- Handling huge photoshop layouts- Moving enormous files- Never worrying about not having enough RAM- Annoying your friend who has 8GB (Screw you Tam)- combing your hair

Does exactly what you'd expect and performs beautifully. The only thing I didn't like was how tall these are but I suspect that won't be a problem for everyone. My cpu's heatsink and fan are large enough that they hang slightly over the RAM slots. A standard RAM stick fits under it just fine but these have an added height that made it so I had to move these to the outer slots, away from the heatsink to fit. Not ideal. Would have liked to put these in the primary slots on my board for best performance. I either need to use more compact sticks or get a smaller heatsink to fit everything nicely.

I decided to upgrade my system which is now as follows:FX8120 That's a x8 at 3.1GHz16 GB of corsair MemoryA cheap asus board I bought off amazonAsus 650 GTX Ti550w OCZ PSUCorsair H100i radiatorCons:My original build was black and red, lights too!New build is blue and black.. I'll be replacing my led fans and cathodes soon.....Other:A noob at the local Gamestop tried to argue that my build wouldn't handle Bioshock Infinite....He was wrong, I went to the site "can I run it .com. I can play it on highest setting which I did....

A lot of people that are saying that "It doesn't work" don't know how motherboards and ram work, these type of ram modules only work in 2s in most motherboards, that means you need to have 2 or 4 not just 1/3, I bought 2 (16gb) last year when I was making my build, I just bought another 16GB because I need the extra memory from running many heavy applications together, as expected, these modules 4x8gb work beautifully together and my rig looks fully beast now :D great product + 10 year product warranty?! Legit can't go wrong.

Bought this set of RAM for a brand new PC build. For the first week I experienced crashes at odd intervals, there didn't seem to be much rhyme or reason as to when it would occur. After about a week I, with some help, was able to pin point the problem to the RAM. Apparently one of the two had been corrupted some how. Returned it through Amazon, they sent the new set out ASAP and I mailed back the old ones. Wasn't pleased with the initial problem but it was corrected quickly and I am very satisfied with the replacements.

Got the product in the mail today and I am very pleased with my purchase. Did some tweaking a bit after I got it and did tests in-between with MemTest86 and ended up maxing out my motherboard speed support at 1866MHz.Well aware this may void the warranty, but planning to buy another kit sometime soon to max out my CPU support at 32GB of RAM. Can game better than I had before and got better benchmarks without tweaking timings, doubling my score on my older RAM from 410 marks to 827 in Intel extreme tuner.

I have an older computer and I did not want to be made to buy another computer just to keep up. Compared to other local computer suppliers (i.e. Bestbuy), price wise they were as comparable maybe off by a few dollars. Installation was not difficult, however they are a little taller than the ones I was replacing. I have a fan nearby so my install was a bit tight. However, I got it in and when I rebooted, I noticed a jump in speed and performance. I'd buy this product again.

Didn't work at first because I didn't push it in all the way. I was trying to be delicate but with ram sticks you just gotta smush it in there until it clicks! Once I heard that satisfying click I powered up the PC and booted her up!! I've uploaded a picture showing 20gb of ram. So I've got 8GB-8GB-4GB. I couldn't fit my other 4GB stick in there or else it would read 24GB of ram, maybe in the future lol. Anyways, happy with the purchase and happy they worked.

Corsair Vengeance has never let me down. Originally it replaced a stack of defective OCZ memory, and now I have 3 workstations all maxed-out using Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz RAM. The colored heat sink comes off easily, so install the RAM with care (don't hold by the heat sink when installing, but you can push on it to secure the RAM into place). Corsair has become my brand of choice for new system installations and upgrades.
