This shirt looks good on the model but would it be as good looking on my dad? He’s in his eighties and a figure to match (sorry dad). It was doubtful if a Medium size would fit him. It did and looks great on him.The shirt is quite stretchy and fits firmly but there are no signs of any stretch folds. There is no pulling on the buttons either. It has a good body length and can be worn tucked in or out. It’s short-sleeved and has a soft collar.Apparently, the use of Triple Canyon gives the shirt UV protection. This is great for my dad as he suffers from skin cancer. Now he’ll only have to worry about using sun cream on his arms while wearing this shirt.I’ve had a good look around the stitching of this shirt.

Before I even get into this review - this is definitely a practical item rather than something you’d probably wear to fashion. This in mind though, it’s pretty effective as one - so here’s why.First impressions were good as the item looks pretty much as it does in the photos - plenty long enough and also probably slightly on the large side but comfortable for walking or similar. The material is a stretchy and very lightweight fabric which has an elastic feel, sun protection and wouldn’t have you getting too warm while doing some light exercise. The stitching, edges and buttons all feel good quality and the sleeves don’t come up too short.Overall then,

Available in various colours of plaid, this shirt is so light you can barely feel you are wearing it, yet it offers 30UPF protection from the sun. This is good news for the necks of those men most active in the brightest weather. It feels great to wear on a hot day as it keeps you covered up without overheating, although the fact it has short sleeves means the UPF protection ends where the sleeves do (But a long sleeve version is available if that suits your needs). It washes well and comes out of the machine almost dry. A lightweight short-sleeved shirt; it's mix of polyester and elastane makes it feel rather smooth and silky.I got the medium size in this; it's a fairly good fit, comfortable and airy – a little longer in the body than it appears in the product photos above, but that will be dependent on the build of each individual – it isn't anything I'm worried about as it looks okay on.The grey plaid pattern isn't particularly eye-catching and wouldn't have been my first choice, but it's a well-enough made and smart-looking garment, so I'm pleased with it.Rather pricey for what it is though.Care will be needed in following the washing instructions due to the elastane content.
