Wrangler Men's ICONS Denim ShirtI have admired wrangler clothing for many years, I've always liked the rugged cowboy like image that denim seems to conjure up. This shirt is 27MW which is described as being Wranglers best selling iconic shirt, re-issued for the modern urban cowboy. The sewn in label shows the address to be: Queensboro, N.Carolina, USA, yet the internal label shows this to be 'Made in India'? Wherever it's made it certainly looks to be up to the high standard that you would expect from a big named company such as Wrangler. This has been made from super soft denim material. The material is not only thick but also very soft, it's also extremely strong. The seams in many areas are strongly reinforced, all stitching appears to be perfect without even a single thread appearing out of place. The thread used is golden brown against blue denim as you would expect. All stitching is finished in such a way that the end of each stitch is double stitched for added strength, there is no way this stitching is going to fall apart. There are 2 breast pockets in the shirt, each have the double stitched W shape across the pocket. This I understand is shown on all Wrangler products as it's a kind of trade mark. The breast pocket flaps are secured by a single metal popper. The breast pockets are big enough for a pack of cigarettes (if you wish to look cool) or other small items, in my case sweet cigarettes! The front of the shirt has a single button along with a series of 6 metal poppers which secure it down the front. The sleeves are long, they also give you a generous amount of room inside. The arms have a long wrist opening secured by a single popper, for when you wish to have the sleeves either partially or fully folded up the arms. The cuffs each have 3 metal poppers so you can wear the cuffs as tightly or as loose as you wish. The bottom of the shirt is finished straight, it has no tuck in or shape to it. This shirt is designed to be worn outside other clothing, not to be tucked in so it's not overly long. This in my opinion is a terrific shirt, the quality is second to none. The fit is good, it hangs nicely, it's also very comfortable. The material is soft and warm, yet with the metal poppers down the front, it's easy to regulate your temperature by popping or un-popping each one to encourage more free air flow.I really love this shirt - Highly Recommended!Contents -1 x Denim shirtIf you have found my review at all helpful I would very much appreciate if you could click the 'Helpful' button below, thank you.

(Unless everybody else is wearing dinner jackets, that is.) You could undoubtedly find a cheaper denim jacket similar to this, but I doubt you'd find a better one. I didn't think the product photos did it justice. It's not your average grown-up British garment, of course, we mostly tend to like proper pockets, and these are little more than ornaments. The side pockets wouldn't even hold a handkerchief safely, I could just about dip 4 fingers into them. Probably few people carry cash these days, which is just as well, since the breast pockets will just about hold a credit card. No inside pockets.Sizing is always problematical for mail order garments, and it's pleasing to see the growing popularity of easy-return,re-usable packaging, as here. But size is unlikely to be a problem in this case. The product page size chart said that the large size offered for review would fit my 42" chest, which it does perfectly.Further down, however, it may be a little more problematical. The label announes it to be a "regular" fiitting, and I'd say that this would be more appropriate for someone with a slightly smaller waist than my 38". Although the latter may, possibly, just possibly, have expanded very slightly, only very slightly, mind you, since I last measured it for jeans. But although I wouldn't like to loll around in it very long with the bottom buttons fastened, or indeed any buttons fastened, it would certainly be comfortable enough for standing around at a stylish drinks party, or swaggering down the High Street; although I don't think anyone would mistake me for a cowboy, rebel or even aging rock star - although there are some very aging ones about these days. It's fairly modest as a fashion statement, not especially eye-catching, more an under-stated one, you could say, but you could add a bit of flair by wearing a suitable flower in the button-hole, thoughtfully provided in the top, inside corner of the left breast-pocket flap. Or if flowers aren't your thing, your Grandad's silver hunter. It's original purpose, if I've read it aright, is probably a bit non-u these days.

I usually buy the supermarket denim jackets for not much money, so trying a much pricier Wrangler on has been a treat, not least because the quality is astounding. What you get, albeit for a lot more money, is far better quality fabric, stitching, detailing, features, fit look, and durability. To see the detailing on this jacket, take a look at the pockets, which are a lot more that a patch of fabric whacked on and stitched around on three sides. These are very nicely done, with doubled parallel stitched and folded seams, folded and stitched openings, plus zigzag pattern that appears elsewhere on the garment. The fabric itself is fine, soft, and brushed.Fit is snug, shall we say. If you are not sure,I’d suggest going for a larger size, especially if you plan to wear anything thick or a couple of layers under it.Looking at and wearing this item, it’s obvious to me that you do actually get a lot more garment than anything I’ve seen in the cheapo aisles. I haven’t worn a Wrangler anything in 20 years, so this is a rather nice blast from the past, from its range of classics, which I must say is impressive.Okay, so I had this for free, but would I pay the price to buy one? Bargain-conscious me wavers on this, but I have to say yes I would. It’s worth the money, because it's better than anything else like it I've seen.

It is interesting to note that ‘Wrangler Jeans were first made by the Blue Bell Overall Company, which had assimilated the brand when it took over Casey Jones in the mid-1940s. Blue Bell employed Bernard Lichtenstein aka "Rodeo Ben", a Polish tailor from Łódź who worked closely with cowboys, to help design jeans suitable for rodeo use. He convinced several well-known rodeo riders of the time to endorse the new designs.’The denim fabrics and detailing are iconic regular-fit and straight-leg jeans evolved over 30 years. They are made to stay comfy, durable and stylish. Their range of snap button shirts has carried this ethos forward. The tailoring in many areas is strongly reinforced,by robust stitching, which appears to be near on perfect on the eye. There are 2 breast pockets in the shirt, with the iconic snap closures, ""W"" stitching, Western front and back yokes. The shirt has snap buttons the front. The sleeves are long, and designed as working shirt, so they roomy. The cuffs each have three metal poppers so you can wear the cuffs, so the wearer can adjust the fit to the way he or she likes itThis is a good casual shirt; where the quality is good.Highly recommended.

This is simply a classic jacket relaunched deservedly under the Icons line, and it more than lives up to that billing. It's well-cut, in a perfectly judged denim weight that's not too heavy or too light, making it a three-season contender. That weight also gives it a good immediate softness and an already broken-in feel. There's an understated and confident styling that sets it apart from the usual, such as angled and upward facing hand pockets, and sleeve buttons and top pockets with press-stud poppers. It looks great.I prefer the Wrangler cut to the Levis equivalent as it's slightly more flattering, without being technically 'slim fit'. As a result it's worth considering sizing up - I'm generally an M in most brands jackets, but the L was ideal here. I've been wearing it with a hoodie underneath the last week and it's been fine. The label (and booklet that comes with it) emphasises the 'Repair. Reuse. Recycle' ethos, and this jacket certainly lends itself to lasting year after year. Like all good denim it will show its adventures and be all the better for it.

This is an excellent quality denim jacket, as it should be given the price tag. It's very well made with no imperfections and stitching is spot on. Sizing is about as I expected - I received a medium and am typically between a medium and large so there was always a slight risk it would be a bit too small. This jacket fits well over just a t-shirt and I find it very comfortable in that scenario but anything thicker or an extra layer of clothing underneath the denim jacket and it soon starts to feel a bit tight, but I don't think this is a great surprise for me. Sleeve length is good but it is quite short in the body, intentionally so but may put some people off - personally I think it looks great, better than in the pictures. I'm perhaps a little restricted in what I can wear it with, given the aforementioned sizing, but it looks great and feels comfortable for me over a t-shirt and I do like it so I will definitely get some wear from it.

I used to have a denim jacket (a long time ago), but a denim shirt is a bit of a new one on me. To be honest, I’m not entirely sure of the right occasion for it. Though it is a collared shirt, it isn’t really something I’d ordinarily wear for work. I tend to wear it over a t-shirt, but it’s not a jacket and isn’t really warm enough for this time of year. For this reason, I’ve only worn it a handful of times so far. This aside, it’s a good quality shirt. The denim is soft, especially given that it’s still pretty new. The ‘Large’ is a good fit in most respects; I do find the sleeves a little on the short side, but then since I have quite long arms that’s not uncommon anyway. At least I can undo the poppers and roll the sleeves up if I want. It’s probably not something I’ll wear an awful lot personally, but probably I’ll get more use out of it come the spring. Currently on offer at £48 (RRP £60), it’s expensive, but I expect it will last.

This is a good jacket. Well made, in a denim that feels rugged, but is reasonably soft and pliable on arrival. The wash is a strong, mid blue, and the contrast top stitching is used to really good decorative effect, including in the Wrangler ‘W’ stitch (found on the rear pocket of jeans, and here applied to the breast pockets). The stitching is really neat, and the finishing at seams crisp, and well done. The pockets are neatly inserted, but quite small, and are denim on the inside as well as out – so offer no real protection for anything inside if you get caught in the rain. The length of this jacket seems quite short, but my middle brother is a pretty slim guy and only 5’7”,and in wear on him the length seems fine. Buttons up down the front, but on the breast pockets and at the cuffs what look like similar buttons prove to be snap fasteners.A quality denim jacket, that looks the part.

This is a classic Western-style denim jacket, that screams rodeos and cowpokes. It is made from a good, thick denim and has a rugged, tough feel to it. Its construction and stitching also lend to it that hardwearing feeling, this is one item that should last many years.I took an extra large, as that's been my size for many years, and this is a close fit; closer than I'm used to, but I've received compliments that it looks good. I'm 6'2", with a 36" waist, if that helps anyone decide their fit. This is the opposite of fast fashion and worth the extra that it costs. It combines well with a load of other items, (though avoid the dreaded double-denim!) and with layering will get use through most of the year.As long as it still fits, and with a bit of care, you should get many years out of this and even when it doesn't fit any more, someone else will be able to get more use out of it too.

If they ever even went away, it appears the denim jacket is very much here and here to stay. This version, from well know denim manufacturers Wrangler, I hoped would not disappoint.First impressions were pretty decent as this seems to be a well made quality garment. The seams are solid, as are the buttons and elements that hold it together, so I think there's little risk of it falling apart. In terms of the denim colour, the picture seems to me like a pretty good representation of the slightly washed out effect they are going for. The only thing that lets it down somewhat is the sizing - it's pretty wide around the chest area but comes up a bit shorter than I would like but that may work for you.Overall,as long as you get the sizing right what you've got here is a pretty solid garment. If a quality denim jacket is what you're after, a qualify denim jacket is what you've got here.

This is definitely not something I would usually buy, but i have passed it to a more appreciative audience for feedback! What I can say is that the fabric is lovely quality and so soft, i suspect this could be a problem for die hard fans of the original version which is more robust but I think it looks, feels and hangs really well.It has all the styling and details you would expect from this type of shirt and seems very well made, no loose threads etc.Feedback from my friend is that yes it's lighter in weight and feels softer, but that's no bad thing, it makes it more versatile. This is an xl so quite loose, and because it is lighter weight fabric i am wearing it over tee shirts. It has been washed and looks perfect.Very pleased! At the time of reviewing the shirt is £60 for the xl. Not cheap, but you are paying for the label and quality.

My first Wrangler denim jacket, back in the mid seventies, looked like this one. Same font on the buttons and studs on the breast pockets. As soon as I seen this one, I had to have it. It's as well finished as every other Wrangler jacket I've had though the years. It's much softer than my first one, back then there was no stone-wash, it was rock-hard indigo. There is one issue that might concern some buyers: the breast pockets are too small to hold a smartphone. Also, many denim jackets have a space in the interior lining that can be used as an inside pocket: the lining on this jacket is sewed up and can't be used as a pocket. The outside side pockets are angled at around 45 degrees and could be used, but I'm not sure if I would trust an expensive mobile in them.Overall, a high quality jacket that will appeal to denim fans of a certain age.

The feel of this coat is very enjoyable; it's lightweight, is water resistant,is a clean style, the material is soft and warm, yet not too heavy and suffocating. It provides warmth on windy/chillier days, but is still breathable. There are no embossed designs and the clean, uncluttered feel of the jacket-style design and the classic blue 'goes with everything' shade of the denim means that this will match up well with most clothing - it makes this jacket a great 'everyday' throw-on-and-go option whenever you nip out to do something, where you don't need to think about what it looks like over whatever you are wearing. This coat is hip length and the sizing is on the slightly smaller size - if you know you are a true S,M ,L etc, you should be fine, but if you hover between two sizes, then go up.

Having recently lost a lot of weight, not through choice, I am still having trouble working out what size clothes to buy now. I expected the XL size to be too big for me but it is just about right once I tightened the button things on the sides. This was described as "a contemporary take on the classic mid-blue denim jacket" but there is nothing really contemporary about it, it is just a traditional denim jacket. If it was contemporary then the chest pockets would be big enough to hold a mobile phone!I know it is supposed to be a no-no, but I have really been enjoying rocking the double-denim look, but I could just as easily wear this with black jeans or chinos and feel as happy. However you wear it,I think this looks good and it feels strong enough that it should still look good for years.

In this day and age when clones and copies are so good, but ALWAYS lacking SOMETHING, it’s important to have the very best quality you can find, and This Wrangler jacket is the top of the top.I have no doubt that this jacket will last you years, so broken down over time, the expensive price is not THAT much in terms of usage. The colour is excellent and the denim feel is phenomenal. Don’t expect the pockets to hold a lot, not even a mobile phone, but who cares when you have a jacket that looks like this.I am just 5ft 7 and this medium size fits me perfectly, which was great because I sometimes have trouble finding jackets to fit into that ‘perfect’ category.I really like this one and I'm kinda sorry I didn’t spend a lot of money on my jackets before. It’s a nice treat.
