Decided to purchase this rather than the more expensive version of 'mastermind' for my 11 year old. The concept is exactly the same with, mostly, good points. Great that all the pieces fit neatly for storage inside the game board which makes it an excellent game for travelling! The pegs fit well into the holes ... the only slight difficulty I've had is that the shield piece designed to hide the 'secret code' takes a few goes to balance secuely in place. Having said that it does the job and I'm sure we'll get used to it ... for the money, I'd recommend it.

Bought this for holiday with children of 10, 8 and 6 and they all loved it. Just like the original game but comes in handy box - only let down though is it doesn't snap shut so if it's not lying flat when carried everything tends to fall out. Highly recommend, a great game for all ages and you certainly don't have to dumb it down for the younger ones.

A classic game which both my children 9 and 7 have really enjoyed playing. Two minor faults - once opened I needed a different container to hold all the pieces as they can't be held securely within the game and, the cover for the secret colour code is quite easily dislodged thus spoiling the game.

Great game that keeps the kids occupied for a long time away from the screen. Comes with lots of small pieces (that you store within the game itself) but just be careful if you have any toddlers around.Classic game that will last generations

Bought this for my eight year old granddaughter and she loves it. Only problem is that the cover is very flimsy and falls off, so the hidden pegs are revealed. Blutak was the answer.

The game works as expected, the little hood doesn't stay on well though and you need to put the lid on the bottom to play so the pegs need a safe container to store the other pegs.

This game is great for children and adults, and takes very little setting up. It has proved as entertaining for my family this Christmas as I remember it when I was a child.

Had an old mastermind game which my grandchildren like to play with. This was an updated version as a Christmas present to one of them to play during lockdown

We had this game when I was a child and I have fond memories of playing it as a family. I bought this as a Christmas gift and now we play it as a family!

Very similar to the Mastermind game (which is nigh on impossible to get hold of), but doesn't have the same number of colours, making it easier to solve.

Very nice game ! My children love it ! Just the cover for the hidden pieces falls very easy then sometimes the game is over before it ends.

My daughter (8) loved this and certainly gives me a fair competition. A very simple idea but great fun for all ages.
