Many people who write reviews before a game is released go purely on what they expect to see in the game. With the luck to be involved in the review scheme for Chaos League I got hold of some review code and I havn't been able to stop playing since!Firstly: Gameplay - This game, like almost every other sports title has the return potential as it really has no end. You can embark on a vigorous Championship campaign, fighting it out to get from the 3rd division into the Premiership, or you can simmply play a one-off exibition match. The best thing about the Championship mode is the ability to build up your team, buying new players, improving abilities including new skills for old players and signing Heroes to battle it out for your beloved team. This level of control over your team makes it YOUR team, even down to the name of each player if you like! YOU have ultimate control of almost everything. A player can also enter the scenario field where they are set up with a situation and a certain goal to achieve. This keeps a certain challenge to features other than the Championship which basically gives Chaos League a simply immense level of gameplay! This level of gameplay is pushed even further with the use of drugs and bribes along with drug tests! Before a match a player can pay for one of his team members to be doped up to the eyeballs and become even more powerful! The thing to watch is the drug test as your opponent can test players, as can you, to see if they are drugged in which case they will be banned if they're spotted! Briding the ref lets you get away with dirty tricks such as kicking players while they're down.Graphics - Graphics wise this game makes great use of the powerful graphics engines available. The pitches are smooth, the players are smooth and their actions are smooth. Overall the graphics are very tasty indeed. As you would expect with a fantasy game, realism in't exactly of the top order so many players have muscles more exagerated than a WWE wrestler! But what thats what makes the game individual and thats what you'd expect from a fantasy game with half-lions, Minotours, Trolls and Orcs to name but a few!Controls - The controls are simple to learn if your prepared to spend a little time expirimenting. The best option when playing a game is to select the turn-based option over real-time as this gives you up to 40 seconds (depending on your choice) to select your moves. This gives you a good chance to experiment and really learn how to control your players - failing this you could always read the instruction manual!Overall - This game, as many Games Workshop fans will realise, is heavily based on the GW game Blood Bowl. All I can say about this is that it provides a new perspective on Blood Bowl which will draw many Blood Bowl fans towards it especially as it is a 3D PC game that is an awesome competitor to the very old and rare original Blood Bowl PC game. The graphics are lush and a treat on the eye, the novelty is neverending, the lifespan of the game is immense and this is basically a great new take on the sports genre that should not be missed out on by anyone!

Although quite obviously based on Games Workshops Blood Bowl board game, Chaos League is still a great game on its own. The league system is easy to use and the in game controls are well explained in the tutorial. As for the game itself, the graphics are good and the sound is expellant, especially the hilarious commentators whose jokes are just great. Each of the games teams are different enough from each other to present their own difficulties but still similar enough for you to get strait into playing them without having to get use to their playing style. I cannot comment on the multiplayer features as I have yet to use them but if they are anything like the single player then I can foresee no problems. This game is great for everyone, not just fans of the Games Workshop game, as it is different enough to stand on its own clawed feet.

Grunge Tastic!!Chaos League a game loosely based on 'Blood Bowl' a 'Games Workshop' product and American football. It involes arcane magic, large scale brawls and character development. You design a team of blood thirty monsters who compete in leagues for cup glory. The mathches are varied and the tatics to score are vast.(Dual lighting bolts, followed by quick pass and dash is a personal favourite) On first looks the graphics don't seem great but the gameplay is there, it's worth a try. Goblin squishingly good :)

Mix a smattering of American Football with a few drops of Warcraft 3 and a generous amount of Blood-Bowl and you can be in Hells Kitchen quicker than you can grunt First-Down in Orcish!Pick up the demo if you can, throw it around, watch the game score a touchdown with originality and salivate with expectation for the full game through your undead fingers! This looks good, plays good and is lots of fun!!

I have had this game for some time and just got around to do this review. Now I wont go into major detail. So here go's. The game is AWESOME! The graphics are good. The teams are cool and the game play is just so good its great to watch other people play. The commentary will certainly have you laughing hard as it did me. This game is well worth the buy.

Brilliant fantasy rugby game obviously inspired by Bloodbowl (but note that this game is RTS and not turnbased). Highly recommended for hours upon hours of bloody fun even though is quite dated by now
