I really like this product, the mug itself feels sturdy but isn't too thick or heavy, and it's super handy to be able to have a nice tea in the morning without having to mess around with a tea potI can't, however, give the product 5 stars, because it has a few design flaws.First and foremost, the bottom of the infuser is actually solid plastic with holes in it instead of the fine material used for the rest of the infuser. I haven't a clue why it has been designed this way, because most infusers of this style use the same material on the bottom. The problem with this design is that it lets more of the fannings through, which no one really wants in their cup of teaSecond - the lid - it's far too tight on the infuser,

I bought 2 of these mug strainer sets for my son who uses milk keffir grains to ferment milk. He puts the keffir grains in the strainer and warms whole milk in the microwaveable mug for 30 seconds. He then adds the strainer into the mug, covers it with a muslin cloth, then leaves it for 24 hours on a pet heat mat that results in a mega probiotic drink. He can easily transfer the keffir grains into a clean strainer and clean mug of warm milk for the next keffir drink. The strainers and mugs are very easy to clean and will ensure a long life for his keffir grains as the mugs hold just the right amount of milk to drink at one go. I've ordered 2 more mugs and tea strainers to see if I can get fresh probiotic yoghurt - update to follow after I try that.

A good quality tea strainer/mug combination. I had a sudden need for one as I was given a large bag of high quality South Korean green tea, which my wife doesn't like. Much easier to make it a mug at a time than half fill a tea pot. The whole thing is well designed and made. When the tea has brewed you can use the lid as a drip tray for the strainer. The strainer is designed to sit loose on top of the mug rather than being a specific fit. In other words it would perform the same function on any other mug, which for me is an advantage. No idea whether you can get the equivalent cheaper elsewhere but this one is good and the price seems sensible.

I can't fault this item. It's brilliant. When i ordered it i didn't even know it was coming with the glass mug. I love the two of them, the infuser and the mug. The glass mug is so cool. The top lid you remove when you want to brew your tea then you replace if you want the water to remain so hot but i don't really use mine, i use the lid as a place to keep the used teabag or herbal tea. I will definitely recommend this item 110%. The glass mug is so useful and handy cos it actually lets you see how much your tea has brewed. I'm glad my research paid off.

This looks pretty classy and modern, and it was very much appreciated by my partner as a birthday present.Apart from looking good, it functions very well and makes a lovely cup of tea. The strainer can be removed from the cup and popped into a pot if you require more than one cup of tea.I'm knocking this down to 4 stars however, only because on occasion, bits of tea leaves have escaped from the strainer and into the cup of tea. This hasn't been a major issue with it, but probably worth mentioning.Would recommend.

I am so pleased with the quality of this mug. I love it and I am inseparable from it now. Tea tastes much better with this!!!! I have definitely tested my theory with peppermint tea. I never knew a mug could affect the flavour of the tea. It turns out it does, the glass is super strong and light and you can feel like that you are really having a good cuppa in this mug. It's worth every penny for me. I will be buying the sets soon too. You gotta love BODUM. They know what they are doing! Thank you

Bought one of these around 6 months ago to enjoy various Chinese loose leaf teas. The concept is great and works very well. Easy and quick to use and the mug has a pretty large capacity, so enough to keep me sipping for a long time. My only gripe is that the gauze on the strainer tends to get slightly discoloured over time. Maybe this shouldn't be a surprise, but I had hoped for better. However, this is only cosmetic and not a major issue. Still happily using it most days in the office!

Just a totally fabulous cup, for single cup infusions! Ive had this six months now ( I always write reviews after owning the items for a while, its the only way i can write a fair review) , Its superb in every way possible, very easy to clean , keeps drinks hot with the handy glass lid, then on top of this you can carry your brew to where you are drinking it take the lid off & you have the perfect place to put the strainer! Ive never had a better more practical cup!

I bought this for work and use it every day.It is well made as the glass is actually very thick.The lid allows you to sit the strainer on once you wish to remove it, however i normally find that you need to sit the lid on a tissue as lid normally has condensation from the steam of the hot tea. But other than that I would still recommend for all loose tea drinkers.Update: I liked it so much I bought a second one for home.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my BF, and this has become his new favorite mug and tea strainer. The glass mug itself is big and solid. The tea strainer is good, though a few smaller tea leaves does go trough it. It comes with a little disc, that act as a lid while the tea is brewing and as a saucer to place the wet strainer on afterwards. The tea strainer also works well in other mugs and cups.

Fantastic, being a fresh coffee hipster I figured why not try tea how it should be also?Picked this up, spent an extortionate amount of money on loose leaf tea & set to work. Brilliant!My only advice would be : make sure the tea you buy has large leaf pieces, the bottom of the strainer isn't mesh - it's actually perforated plastic so small tea will fall into your cup if you're not careful.

Really glad I bought this set. The strainer is very good, I like the lid on it, does keep the warmth in.The glass mug is quite weighty, and feels robust. The bottom of the mug, being tapered, keeps any lees nicely contained, better than a flat-bottomed mug, which lets the residues slosh about.This means you can drink more of the liquid before hitting the dregs. Makes great coffee too.

Love this glass mug, not only is it for tea but anything that needs steeping to form a hot drink. The mug is of a heavy glass and comfortable to use and the mesh insert does a very good job of extracting and straining with a cover to speed up the process. Will probably buy another one as it is very good value for money. Delivery and packaging, very good.

I bought beautiful speciality tea in a lovely store in Interlaken and wanted to find a way to use it without buying a little teapot and having to wash it out. This is just the job. Put your tea in the little container that fits in the mug and it makes lovely tea, just lift out the container and put it on its little tray when the tea is ready.

This is now my favourite mug, I make my lattes in it, as well as tea, as it is a generous size and keeps my. drink hotter longer, but be warned - smaller tea particles do get through. The lid is a snug fit and means your tea stays in the insert. I bring a spare saucer to the table, to transfer it to, when it's finished brewing.
