Hello everybody! Let me tell you about this product and my reaction to it:I ordered it a few months ago (together with a tan Fibernyte Hadley small for my girlfriend) and even though it was stated that delivery time from the UK to Romania is 2 weeks, I actually got them after one! So I was very pleased with the service I got.As for the bags, they are very high quality. The feel of the fabric is hard to explain: it's soft and slick, yet robust. In the months I've used it, it barely altered, as far as color or texture (and I've slipped it under countless bus and train sits). It feels great! With the padded insert in place, the bag looks very elegant. Without it it's loose and casual.I was able to fit a Nikon F4 (which is bigger than Today's DSLRs like the Canon 5D mark II) with a standard prime and another prime lens below it, while keeping about 40-50% of the insert available for lunch, sunglasses and a 750ml bottle of water. The front pockets are big enough for film, notepads, pens, tape recorders... mainly small things :)My only complaint is the leather straps used in the quick release system; One of them seem to deteriorate a bit faster (maybe it was under more stress than the other one) and it's just a bit more loose around the system's brass stud, so it "feels" slightly less secure. However, the bag never accidentally opened because of it, so I'm not worried. Luckily, they are replaceable, so if I were you, I'd order a set of spare ones as well.I know this bag is not the cheapest (let's not fool ourselves; it's expensive) and it might not have all the most modern features and the capacity of other camera bags, but I look at this bag as an elegant everyday bag with camera-friendly features and it puts things in perspective. Besides, you shouldn't really carry more than a camera body and a couple of lenses, since it is just an invitation for some nasty neck, shoulder and back issues, but if you really want to fill up this bag with gear, you could put a flash and a few more lenses (including something like a 70-200 f\2.8 zoom) without capacity difficulties. I would suggest a shoulder pad like the SP40 or SP50 (I'm not sure which yet), since the strap alone, although very elegant and of high quality, doesn't help make the bag comfortable with heavy loads. My girlfriend loves her bag; she uses it as a handbag and she got tons of compliments, and I experienced similar reactions :)

I brought my first Hadley in 1992. In those days I didn't need to carry a laptop around for work so I used it as a camera bag and as a general travel bag. I still own that bag and its is still useable, but times changed and I needed a bigger travel bag. I often put a Nikon d7000 and zoom lens in my bag with a 13" laptop and Ipad when travelling on business. For "normal" photography I usually put a Nikon D800 with a 20mm 2.8, 35mm 1.4 and 85mm 1.4 lenses into my bag. I don't use internal dividers, I wrap the lenses in Domke wraps. I been through Lowepros, Tenba's and Domke's and wore all them out (Domke cotton canvas) or broke the zip or straps (Lowepro & Tenbas) after several thousands of miles of air travel. My current travel bag, the Hadley Large is not without compromises, it can be more difficult to separate items because it only has 3 compartments. However, none one of those other bags have the all round capabilitiy of the Hadley Large, which is light, tough, smart looking and comfortable My original Hadley is made of canvas and is made from thicker materials, the straps are thicker, brass fittings are heavier than the current Hadley large. Hopefully, Billingham have choosen the new materials well and the Hadley Large is going to last as long as my original.PS: If the bag is full, its much more comfortable to carry with the SP40 shoulder pad.

Bought as a present for my other half - the price point is high but the quality seems great and we anticipate keeping it indefinitely, particularly as Billingham operate a repairs surface. The size is good, very roomy, and could fit a decent sized laptop, and the fact that the foam inserts are removable make it very versatile and easily customisable to our requirements. The only thing I'm slightly worried about is that the quick release bag might make the camera equipment more easily stealable when we go abroad, but it's great to be able to whip out the camera to take a quick shot. It would be also useful to have memory card storage pockets, as the two pockets are very large.
