Appearance:This is a cute little set, ideal in my opinion, for pre-teen and early teen-girls. The bright yellow with “fabulous” and sunglasses on it is fun and cheery. The set would of course be perfectly usable by anyone of any age but I can’t really see it in the hands of a teenage or adult man. It’s not just me gender stereotyping here, my 7 year old grandson also said “it looks a bit like it’s for girls” - not that this stopped him from borrowing pen and pad to do some drawing. He and his grandad also borrowed it for a lively game of noughts and crosses.Useability:THE PEN: Everyone seems to like these 4 colour pens, even my 84 year old mother loves them as she doesn’t have to search round for blue black or red pens - I don’t think she’s ever tried the green! At the other end of the age gap, my grandson loves them for their novelty value, everything has to be written in a different colour. They work well and are very robust - I’ve never known one to break before running out of ink. The pen nibs are standard ball point pen size, so medium rather than very fine. I wouldn’t be comfortable writing a long letter or essay with the pen because it’s quite wide to accommodate the four colours, but fine for day to day use.THE HIGHLIGHTER: This highlighter is supposed to be refillable but I’m not sure how. It is also designed to not dry out even with the cap off for up to 8 hours, although I haven’t tested this. Because it’s pen shaped rather than wide and flat like lots of highlighters it is easier to hold. Warning: do not let 7 year old boys near a highlighter, much too much fun. So, I have items on my shopping list highlighted, because of course biscuits and cheese strings are the most important items. I have items in my magazines highlighted and items in my catalogues highlighted and new things written just so they too could be highlighted lol.NOTEBOOK: The notebook has 200 pages so the biggest little notebook I’ve seen. The pages are unlined so good for drawing as well as writing.Overall a nice little se.

…but, with ‘I Am a Princess’ in mind, I think it might be more appealing to have the ‘fun’ colour 4-inks in the ballpoint, rather than the regular 4, namely red/green/blue/black.Also, the unlined 100-page/200 side notebook is tight bound, so it can be tricky to flatten and therefore get to the spine area, depending on age & where you are in the book. The plain, bright pink coloured card cover has a yellow crown motif and ‘I AM A Princess’, in white lettering on the front.ooOoo~ BiC®~ MY MESSAGE STATIONERY SET~ ‘I AM A Princess’‘Ballpoint & Notebook: Made in France’‘Highlighter: Made in USA’ooOooCellophane sealed on arrival, the stationery set is presented in a cardboard/perspex-type box that measures around 16.5 cm x 15.5 cm x 2 cm deep, with cute little pictures randomly dotted around the front, e.g. llama, crown, sunglasses…The box slides open to access the contents, namely:~ 1 x BiC® BALLPOINT PEN ~ 4 REGULAR INK COLOURS: BLUE/BLACK/RED/GREEN~ 1 x BiC® HIGHLIGHTER PINK~ 1 x BiC® BLANK NOTEBOOK that measures around 10.25 cm x 14.5 cm x 1 cm deep, with 100 good quality, matte finish, crisp white pagesThe pen is the regular, usual reliable quality BIC 4-ink ballpoint with a pinky-lilac coloured lower barrel, with the crown & ‘I AM A Princess’, both back & front. The crown and ‘I AM A Princess’ is on the barrel once on the neon pink highlighter that benefits from a grey coloured grip zone. The cap handily fits over the end of the pen for safe keeping when in use and it benefits from a sturdy, functional shirt clip like the ballpoint pen.The chisel tip delivers a pink coloured line width between around 1.6 mm & 3.3 mm (last images below refer).[13 images attached](01/08/19)

A nice little set from a well known manufacturer. This contains 3 good quality items. The padA little A6 size pad, slightly less than 1cm thick. The paper is good quality and fairly thick, certainly possible to draw on this paper without it bleeding through to the other side. The quality of the paper means this would probably make a nice portable journal. The paper is blank, with no lines or anything so could be used for drawing on as well as writing.HighlighterBright yellow highlighter with a chisel tip. Its a nice width for highlighting text, not too wide, not too narrow. I like the rubbery grip area, its very comfortable to hold. The penAnd now the best bit. Seriously, this holds so many happy memories of my youth. Who didnt love the famous 4 colour pen. Ive not had one for a while and im so happy to have one now. Its good job i dont go to school now as id annoy the heck out of people with my constant clicking of the various colours! Just slide the coloured section down (the colour of the plastic matches the colour of the ink you'll get - there are 4 pen refills inside), when you want to swap ink just click another coloured slide down. If you just move one of the coloured slides down a little bit all of the pen nibs disappear.Who is this for? Anyone who is fabulous, likes pens, needs a small pad with good qualitly plain paper in, anyone who likes yellow, anyone who, like me, has ADHD and needs everything they own to be brightly coloured or they will loose it. A fabulous little stocking filler.

There's a good chance that after a short while this kit will be spread around, losing its focus, but still adding value. For the acute dreamer though, it could retain its full value. If you bought these items separately, it could be far cheaper, however what this represents is the idea, the gift, the package. For the right person, this would be meaningful. The highlighter, which actually looks dark by looking at the nib, is actually really bright, great for highlighting and bringing to life certain words (or indeed parts of pictures). The multi-colour ink pen, offers red, blue, black and blue, all in one chassis, so less clutter and if you're actually using this on a bedside table or shelf, less pens rolling around and getting lost. After a few weeks. this pen was appropriated by a teacher in the family, who found it very handy to mark with (red/black, right there). Ink levels are visible and they are not the short ones you see in some budget pens. The llama emblazoned pad is simple enough, the quality is fine. It would have been awesome if the pages were perforated (especially for children, who can't tolerate used pages). It has that dreamy text and colour which are well thought out. The llama though? No clue. It's all small enough to go out and about too, so daydreamers are also catered for.

I've always been a fan of Bic and even now I use the classic Bic 4-colour for creative writing and for work use in Court. However I ordered this little set specifically as a gift for my 10-year old niece and I'm so glad I did.The positives are that this is a cute little 'set' which really appeals to that age group. It comes in a presentation gift box which made it easy for me to wrap. There is a Bic 4-colour biro which is exactly the same as the normal one except the barrel is a couple of cms shorter. Then there's a yellow highlighter, with a rubber grip. Plus a cute note-book with a soft yellow cover - the pages are blank, helpful as she is 'drawing a picture a day'.I chose 'Fabulous'but there are other themes to choose from and I might get her 'Unicorn' or 'Princess' next time. Each item in the set features the theme, so my niece's biro, highlighter and pad are all marked 'Fabulous'.Negatives - I'm not sure there are any. Sure you could put something similar together for a couple of quid, if cost is a premium, but at just under £10 this is a nice little gift from Auntie, and I know the Bic brand pens don't fall apart in one afternoon.Fabulous!

The package comes in a lovely presentation set. The book is very bright you won't lose it on your desk for sure, and small enough to fit inside your handbag (for the girlies) or pretty much anywhere for a guy. The pages are thick, and the front-back cover is very soft texture quite pleasing to touch. The multicolor pen is a little plastic feeling, I'm sure it will be useful, but of the three items feels the cheapest part. I would consider this is not up to BIC reasonable standards of quality. It does function no issues. The Highlighter is all-round high quality, these usually last me a long time, and I'm 100% sure this is going to be another one in my stationery drawer for a long time.Has a very smooth open of the lid, the inside part is a nice touch and durable feeling rubber, with BIC embossed on the side, this is the best of the three.Overall I would say a lovely gift set, great for a small present for those back to schoolers.I would say they missed a trick to make the book pages more comfortable to remove with a subtle tear out indent could have made this a better part, otherwise great value.

BIC My Message Kit I Am a Princess - Stationery Kit with 1 BIC Ballpoint Pen 4 Colours/ 1 BIC Highlighter Pink Grip is a nice trio of stationery which I do like. The book is a nice size for a handbag or something similar, great for note-taking.The two pens which are ideal for everything you need as the BIC Ballpoint 4 colours contain every colour I will need for any given need of a pen. The BIC ink is good quality and for the price, they do write well for an extended length of time. The barrel is thicker than usual pens, to allow room to hold the four separate ink pen inserts. It is a comfortable pen to hold and I love the cute "I'm a Princess" quote and it will identify it as my pen especiallyhelpful at work. The pink highlighting pen is the same colour as the notebook which connects the trio. This trio of stationery is a nice gift for yourself or the princess loving person in your life.Happy to recommend this eyecatching good quality stationery trio.

This is so handy being a mummy to 4 children I have lots of activities and things I need to remember and usually just find myself with bits of paper everywhere and sometimes even using lip liner or lipsticks as a pen. With this BIC my message kit it comes complete with a BIC 4 colour ballpoint pen, BIC highlighter and a A6 200 page notebook. There are many different styles you can get including different colours in pens, notebooks and they even have different phrases.Mine was prefect for me as it was pink and had written “ I am a princess” my daughter really wanted it as she is Pink and princess made.I loved the fact that you can use this anywhere and it will fit in pockets hand bags etc. It’svery well made and stands out from the crowd.Only down full is the notebook as it’s blank and not lined and I don’t think I would actually pay £9.99 for a pen, highlighter and a notebook.

I've always been a big fan of the four colour BIC pens, and this set adds a bright colour and a Fabulous message to the barrel of said pen. There is also a matching notebook and highlighter, all equally bright and sassy. The pages of the notebook are good quality paper in bright white and there is very little show through when using the Biro or highlighter. It has a good quality binding, although for me a notebook should have a spiral binding to lie flat but each to their own. The pen is the usual good quality BIC and the highlighter is bright with a decent sized nib and is apparently refillable if you could ever find refills.Apart from anything else the bright yellow colours mean that it is easy to find any of the bits in the bottom of a dark bag.Overall it's a good set released just in time for the new school term.

This is a cute little gift boxed set of A6 notepad, 4 colour BIC pen and a green highlighter pen. Beautifully presented in a gift box. It's much smaller then I thought it was in the picture. The A6 notebook is too big to fit in my handbag or pocket for work but too small for use in meetings. It's really a 'jotter'. Blank pages for doing anything you like on it! Doodles, notes or whatever takes your fancy. I love the llama detailing though and the real reason I wanted this set as I love everything to do with llamas. The pens even have a little llama on them. The 4 colour pen is perfect for work as I need to use black and red alternately. The highlighter is a bit pointless in my opinion but my teenager will need it for school.Would make a nice gift for a llama fine or student.

So here we have a stationery set from Big that is more geared towards the younger audience. The set is presented in a card sleeve with a transparent front cover.Inside,is a useful 4 colour Bic pen.The colours provided are the main ink colours for writing black, blue,Red and green.Swapping between the different coloured inks is seamless, just requiring a push down flick on the selected colour. Also included is a fluorescent green highlighter with a fairly fine slanted tip.The stationery set is completed by a A6 notepad, which is Softbank and comprises blank pages. The notepad is blue in colour, all 3 items of stationery have the Dreamer logo and a picture of an llama on them. Not exactly my design of choice, but the set could come in handy.

his is a lovely little notebook set, and I'd say it is perfect for girls aged about 8 to 13years. It is bright yellow with 'Fabulous' logo and pens that match. The notebook has a good quality cover and the plain pages are thick enough for the pen not to show through to the other side. It is about 10 x 15cm in size and a little over 1cm thick. With this style of notebook, it is necessary to crack the spine to be able to open the pages properly. The pens are both also high quality as you would expect from Bic. One pen is the 4 colours biro (black, green, blue, red) and the other a yellow highlighter. This set would be nice as a small 'add-on' present, but I don't think it is not interesting or large enough to be a gift by itself.

This is a neat little kit, consisting of an A6 notebook with blank pages, a 4-colour pen and a highlighter. The name of the kit - 'My Messages' is a bit naff, but the idea is a good one. It is a great little kit for writing down or drawing ideas, inspirations and dreams. It fits easily into a bag or backpack and also on a bedside table. I love mine and take it with me everywhere, to scribble down ideas, cunning plans and other thoughts that would disappear if I didn't write them down. It's a great idea for anyone - no matter your age. But, if I were Bic, I'd change that name to something else - something like 'Dreams and Inspirations'- or something else that is a bit more interesting and evocative than 'my messages'...

My Message Dreamer Set from Bic has all the essentials: classic 4 colour ballpoint pen and highlighter plus a tiny notebook (about A6 size), all with a super cute llama design. At the current price of £9.99 for 2 pens and a small notebook, this isn’t such a great value for money in my opinion.Nevertheless, this is a brilliant little set - the 4 colour pen is something my girls use for school all the time, so having it in a special llama edition is a special treat. The Bic highlighter is also of superb quality.I can imagine this would be great essentials set to have in a handbag or on a road trip when taking the whole pencil case is not convenient.Or simply as a nice little gift or addition to a bigger gift.

A cute little gift pack of pens and notepad. At the current price of £9.99 it's not bad value. I love these 4 colour bics and have usually got one in my pocket. This will hit the spot with small girls who have been infected in the pink epidemic (what is it with pink?!). The notepad pages are unlined and look a lot like 80 gms paper, and biro does show through on the other side a bit. There are no perforations or any means of tearing a page out cleanly. The pages are glued into the spine and don't want to lay flat, contrary to the impression given in the video on the product page.I hope this range includes an 'I'm a valkyrie ' or similar set to counter the pink-princessness!
