When Bic sent these for free in exchange for an honest review I was thrilled. Who can resist an opportunity to participate in a little bit of art?! I certainly can't. They're pretty fabulous.I grabbed my favourite colouring book and indulged in some much needed 'me' time. They aren't as bright as I had hoped...until I put a bit of pressure on them, then they were very bright.I could achieve some wonderful effects with them, even managing to blend colours together. Sharpening them was easy, I even managed not to break them!I did, eventually, share them with the kids. The Bic Kids Tropicolors 2 even survived this terrifying ordeal! The kids loved them and I managed to get a little bit more 'me'time whilst they quietly drew some gorgeous pictures of elephants... Or were they hippos?... Or spaceships? Either way they were wonderful.I just want more colours now!

These pencils provide children with an enjoyable colouring experience. I wouldn't say that the colours were vivid, but they are nice shades and the children don't have to press too hard to make the colours appear on the paper. They are comfortable to hold and easy to sharpen as they are made from resin, not wood.I received these free from Bic to review and was pleasantly surprised, more by my childrens' reactions than my own. I would, however, definitely purchase a pack after trying these out. They are more hard wearing than normal pencils. The leads don't tend to snap if pressed too hard or dropped accidentally.....and most of all,my 3 and 5 year olds have spent an hour using them independently without having to ask me to sharpen them!!

I do like BIC Tropicolors pencils, although one should be aware of the product's characteristics before buying. These are hard leads pencils (dedicated to children) so they are very resistant to the mechanical damages. Hard leads make it also much more difficult to blend colors. The cores have not much of the pigment, so the final effect strongly depends on the type(also color of paper) one is using. To work with the mentioned I do use either pastels' toned paper or just thick (very often cardboard) paper. It is important: in order to get more decent tones you just need to press a bit harder sometimes. So overall: great pencils to learn how to draw, definitely recommend them (I still use them)Mode details on my IG account

Not the best but for the price really can't fault them. They have a nice range of shade depending on how hard you press and can go from quite light to quite dark, I do find I need to sharpen a lot due to blunting.I'd recommend these for kids or adults who are just trying out colouring as a hobby, though you'll likely want to upgrade quite swiftly if you enjoy it! I've given 5 stars as they're not the best pencils but very good for the price.I've included a picture of the shades I can get of 9 of the 12 pencils depending on firmness. I've misplaced the other three unfortunately.

i needed a new color pen set for my zen coloring book, and i gotta say, i'm 100% satisfied with this!excellent range of colors and since the pen is slightly softer, almost a bit like crayon, you can get 3 different shades of color out of one pen depending how hard you're pressing! quality is really nice, haven't broken a single tip yet, and you can get some really sweet precise lines with this.Yes, there's maybe two or three colors I'm missing from this set, but as whole, I will definitely buy this set again!

Got these for my little boy and he loves them, there is a great range of colours in the packet and the fact they are different from the regular colours makes them more appealing to children. They don't break easily even for a heavy handed 4 year old and they colour fantastically (even for adult colouring books which I love). Easy to sharpen back up too. Great price for pencils and I got them on save and subscribe every few months as no doubt they will be used often.

I'm a Bzz Agent and I got a free sample of Bic Kids Tropicolours Colouring Pencils from Bic.. They arrived yesterday and I tried them out I think they are vibrant and give good coverage on paper.. They are easy to hold and the more pressure you use the deeper the colour but saying that you don't have to press that hard to get the colour out..They blend very easily together.. I will have to let my boys use them and see what they think..

Lovely pencils, different shades than the usual pack of pencils. Easily handled by my three and five year old girls. They look very stylish with a striped casing. The colour flowed nicely and went onto the paper smoothly. And despite being dropped by the delivery man through my letterbox not one tip was broken! I received these free from Bic as part of a promotion but I'd definitely pay for them.

We had one packet of these for years that we bought at our supermarket and when some were really worn down and we lost a favourite colour we replaced them. So far we have not found any other crayons that colour in so smoothly - the colour "comes off" onto the page really nicely and the range is really good. Used for fun and homework and treated with care as we would hate to lose them!

So the BIC Tropicolors 2 colouring pencils turned up today and once the kids was home we got started! My 7 year old said - really nice to used and lovely colours. My 4 year old - can we keep these please as my drawing is really good now.I loved them. Nice and soft and didn't have to sharpen once within 30 minster of use!! (Which is amazing for us)

These are some nice colouring pencils. I bought them for myself because they are cheap and cheerful.Pretty impressed to be honest. I have coloured in a whole page of Release Your Anger: Midnight Edition without sharpening a single one.The are very light which is good for shading but you can apply a little pressure for bolder colours.

BIC sent me these pencils for free to review an my daughter and I are very impressed with them. They are comfortable to use, shade really well and have a really strong lead, so don't snap too easily. They are very easy to sharpen, so ideal for primary school/ infant school. Great value for money, will definitely get them again.

Brilliant! I received thes pencils free to try out and review! I was not disappointed! My 8 year old and 3 year old think they're great! Sturdy, which means they don't snap under forceful little hands. The colours are bright and great for shading and block colouring. Affordable too so I will definitely repurchase. Thanks BIC!

I did get these Bic colouring oencils free to review but I would not hesitate to purchase these! These are lovely pencils in a great selection of colours. They are easy to grip and dont break easily. These are really easy to sharpen. My son loves them! Would recommend these to anyone looking for a nice set of pencils.

Not very pleased with these pencils. They are resin based, so the colours are quite dull on the page, despite pressing fairly hard to transfer colour. I paid £3.75, so they weren't the most expensive set, but I purchased these over Crayola pencils based on other peoples reviews, and I am sorely disappointed.
