I didnt think this would make much difference to the quality of sound that my Yamaha S115V were producing, but i hooked this puppy up and i was almost blown into the wall! i love this little tool! recommend highly!The bass is warm and accurate, you can increase the surround effect etc. guitars etc sound more crisp and clear, without being tinny. again i love it!Hope it helps

For the price this has got to be an absolute bargain. I wanted a rack compressor and this unit gives so much more. It is very responsive and so much easier to operate than a software compressor. Adds clarity and distinction to audio whilst maximising levels. The gate function is a welcome addition as is the gain control. Also features tube simulation, de-esser and side chain.

For this price I doubt you could find anyhting with similar functions and same quality, I am a little bit concerned about the knobs which seem to be a bit hard to turn, anyhow it works just fine for me. I would definitely recommend it if you are trying to get something that works very well and does not cost too much.

Although I haven't got round to trying out the full potential of the MDX2600, I have found it to be very useful for tweaking aspects of a recording.
