An absorbing game that gives you the thrills and spills of flying a WW2 aircraft without requiring you to have the knowledge of a pilot! You can take off and get right into the action, controls focus on the essentials - fast-slow, up and down, side to side and firing bullets, rocket, torpedoes and bombs. The graphics are great with realistic light and weather conditions, battle damage, landscape and the various planes are varied, interesting and authentic. The missions are fairly straight-forward with little messages of encouragement when you perform well couched in the cheerful parlance of the time: "Well done old chap!" "I say you are in good form to day!" etc.On the negative side it isunfortunate that the game does not allow progress to be saved - which of course means that if you have an accident, which happens quite a lot, then you have to start all over again!I have recently re-loaded the game on my friend's computer and got as far as the 'Raid on Wilhelmshaven' - replaying it, in total, about ten times without success. After being instructed to pilot the plane back to the port to destroy more buildings I invariably run out of bombs and have to try and land the B17 bomber at a small British airfield nearby to repair /rearm. At this point the program is very unforgiving and trying to land the B17 is a work of art; even the smallest error in approach results in the plane crashing and, yes, you have to start all over again! Eventually after many attempts I got fed-up and passed the game to someone else!It would like to have seen the `Dam Busters' raid included as a mission and perhaps a carrier based anti-submarine operation? Rather than the missions later in the game which involved shooting down high-tech German planes and sinking what was left of the German fleet?Finally, having deleted the game from my computer, I found when I reinstalled the game; it would not allow me to progress past the training mission!? In conclusion I think, in view of its shortcomings, it is very much an average game hence only two stars. I Feel a bit disappointed as it could have been so much better.Jimbo

game only runs the training flight, will not play full game waste of money ,only £3 but money is money if pay for somthing it should work
