As per the title i am a fan of Bahco hand tools, they are a Swedish Brand now owned by Snap On which is some Pedigree.I needed a hacksaw with a blade flush to the drop and the handle so i could get it into some tricky places, i am a fan of Bahco, i like orange, this has good reviews and is priced competitively so i picked one up.I didnt expect it to come with a blade so was pleasantly surprised when it did, the title states its a hacksaw handle. Straight out of the cardboard sleeve it feels nicely and evenly weighted, the handle is a solid plastic unit, maybe a little rubberized insert would have been an improvement but i knew it didnt have this when purchasing so no issue. The blade is as per the pictures flush to the bottom of the handle and the front stay which was most important to me,it just gives a little more room to maneuver around tricky angles and in tight spots, the blade itself has stayed firmly in place whilst being bashed around, no issues after a weeks use.I havent had need to change the blade yet but have removed it from the frame just to check the fastenings and there were no problems detaching or reattaching, simple, quick, easy, secure.I really dont have anything negative to say, its a fine piece of Swedish American manufacturing, does the job and is very keenly priced.Five Stars.

Love the 317 hacksaw. It was so good, someone decided to permanently 'borrow' my last one... Great quality and a really sturdy frame. Some people don't like the supplied blade, but that's the swappable/consumable part. Plus, depending on what you're cutting, you should always remember the 'three tooth rule'; that three saw teeth should be engaged with the material at any one time. That'll tell you how many teeth per inch (TPI) are best suited to what you're cutting. More teeth means cutting thinner material without the blade snagging. 32/40mm PVC and copper tube tend to be my materials of choice for this - maybe the odd cupboard rail etc. - and I've had no problem with those.

For what I paid I wasn’t expecting it to be so robust in use. The handle is nice and firm and feels solid and sturdy. The blade is cheap and certainly could be improved but this is really not an issue when you can easily change them and purchase your own chosen blades. Very good tool and won’t be disappointed. I went for this having looked at others and went for the middle ground price.

The tightening nut is larger than other hacksaws I have used which makes it a little bit easier to replace and tension the blades. The handle surface is grippy which is good. It seems robust and sturdy. It came with one blade. It would have been nice if it had come with a selection of different tooth pitches but this is a bit nit picking perhaps.

I bought the saw to cut some redundant pipework as a cheaper option than an angle grinder. The saw is sturdy with a fair weight behind it but the blade it is provided with struggled with a bit of redundant gas pipe which I don't believe it should have if it had been of better quality. It feels like it requires more effort than it should.

A very good hacksaw, cuts straight and I've used it to cut numerous bolts and 3mm steel plate. The photos make it look a bit flimsy, as the orange parts look like plastic but are actually painted cast alloy. Likewise the orange tensioning knob is actually alloy with a steel threaded insert. Does the job for a reasonable price.

Hard to get too excited about a hacksaw. Does the job well and holds blades very straight which is more than can be said for some. Puts up well with everyday use. Seems very cheap for a bahco product and was delivered free. Pretty happy all in all.

Great for the price, would definitely recommend. Only thing is I can't cut through 4" plastic pipe without turning the pipe as the saw isn't deep enough, the pipe hits the top silver part of the saw. Minor detail tho

Delivered next day. Larger than I expected which is a plus. Easy to use as long as you do not force the cutting. It does the job efficiently and quickly. A good buy for the low special price.E.A.B.

Used the hack saw for a few hours on soft plastic and aluminium and it seems very good. Solid with a comfortable handle and grip, it cuts well and the blade seems very good. Happy with my purchase.

Piece of very decent tool. I’ve bought it for some small DIY work i it did very well. Needed to cut some trimmings and thresholds and it was very easy with this. Great value for small price.

I lost my other (stanley) frame, a 1974 vintage. I ordered this. it came next day.It works. It got me out of trouble.. Then I found my vintage again. Now I have two hacksaw frames.

Well made frame, unlike some of the rubbish out there- if you tension the blade in this, it stays that way- it does not come loose as the frame bends like some others

I thought I'd had a hacksaw before. How wrong I was! This is proper hacksaw. The weight, the feel and the performance smack of quality. The price was superb too!
