This cable was exactly what I needed, to gain access to the 2 UPS devices I was using, but could not get onto our LAN.I would however like to mention that line speed is vital to the success of using this cable and that although most serial devices in the networking and comms worls work at 9600 both of our UPS devices were set to: -4800 8 N 1Once that was established, I was onto a winner.
