None of the games in this set are really that difficult, but they are pretty enjoyable as casual games go and the fact that there are actually four games included does give you a fair bit of value for your money. Mahjong Mysteries is pretty much straight Mahjong, tile matching in either adventure mode or choose your game. The Egyptian themed backgrounds, tile sets and storyline are average, but as an added bonus you can play your own MP3 music instead of the game soundtrack. Liong is again in two modes, puzzle or classic; it combines Mahjong with a picture-matching quest. You have a Mahjong layout to clear, and the tiles must be matched with those arriving on a liong dragon. You have to clear the board before the liong reaches the gate. Nice selection of tiles to choose from, and quite fun. Comes in multiple difficulty settings, too, so this one is good for the whole family; kids will enjoy the animal, flower and fruit tiles, and easy mode really is pretty easy while still offering a feeling of achievement. Empire Builder is a sort of simpler version of Pharaoh, involving constructing houses and managing resources to complete your quests. It is quite entertaining, though after a while the challenges get a bit samey, and once you have unlocked all the power-up amulets, it's a bit too easy. It can be fun chasing off mummies with your staff of office, and the locust swarms are a bugger to get rid of, but I wouldn't recommend sandbox mode, which is simply a repetitive money-hunt that you can win by just building and upgrading houses. The mini-games are just a picture matching game on a timer, every last one of them, which I did find disappointing, especially as they never changed the pictures or increased the number or even decreased the time. The graphics are quite nice, and the cartoon pharaohs handing down orders are rather good. The bonus game, Virtual Families, is a simplistic Sims ripoff, which I found just too dull and did not play to the end. But it is worth buying for some less strenuous entertainment that doesn't leave you with RSI from mouse clicking.

Although I've had these games for some time now, I have to admit I've still not played Empire Builder, mainly as its been overtaken by more exciting looking games purchased recently, hence why I've only given them 4 stars. The other two, Liong and Majhong are excellent and I would thoroughly recommend them. They have loads of levels and some are quite difficult. They can also be played over and over again without the dreaded boredom setting in.
