I've played Creatures for a very long time, and I can tell you that it was one of the best experiences I've ever had; the Norns are full of personality, the worlds are beautiful and the music is soothing yet haunting. What makes this pack great is that you get all of the games bundled together, so you don't have to spend a lot of money on the individual games. It should also be noted that the original games are extremely rare, and this collection makes finding them a whole lot easier.All of the Creatures games in the Creatures: Triple Pack are great, but my all-round favourite is Creatures 2, as it was my first ever creatures game, and also the game where the Norns have a lot of personality and are at their cutest.The world design is also magnificent, and the music is pure ear-candy. Creatures 2 was released in 1998.The other games included in the pack are Creatures, the original game that started it off. It features a large, vibrant world, filled with a mass of objects for you and your Norns to play with, and the Norns are all unique and have their own personality.Creatures 3 is the third game in the series and a big step-forward, mainly because it is not set on the beautiful world of Albia but a vast Spaceship contructed by the Shee (the Norns' creators). Unfortunately, most of the beauty found in the first two games is lost in the somewhat sterile, soulless environment of the ship's main corridors, but the Terrariums are full of fascinating wildlife that flourishes in the terrarium's own unique ecosystem.Creatures Docking Station was released a while after Creatures 3, and is similar but features a smaller world and contains less features. However, it can be connected to the Creatures 3 Shee Ark, giving your Norns more space, and you can also trade and receive Norns over the internet via the warp, making it the first creatures game to support internet connectivity (although definitely not the last, Creatures 4 is currently in development!)Finally, the last game in the pack is Creatures Village. It features a bright, colourful world, bigger Norns, and much more kid-friendly material than the other games. Despite its apppeal to a younger audience, its still fun to play.My only gripe with Creatures: Triple Pack is that none of the games have been remastered to work on newer Windows platforms such as Vista and Windows 7. As a result, Creatures 2 refuses to run under any of those operating systems, and the music system in Creatures Village doesn't work, but overall, I think this is an excellent collection and would recommend it to any fan of life-simulation games.

I've been playing Creatures since the original game came out 10 years ago and I've been addicted since day one. Words cannot describe the fascinating complexity of the series. On the surface its just a lot of cute, fun animals in a beautiful world full of interesting gadgets, beautiful plant and animal life and areas to explore. And if you want thats all it ever has to be.But for the more ambitious player theres so much more to the game. You can breed your creatures to create new breeds, or genetically engineer them if you prefere. You can download thousands (literally) of 3rd party add-ons, new kinds of creatures, new objects, even whole new environments or create your own.Anything you can imagine can be made for this game.On top of all that it will introduce you to a wide community of wonderful people, always ready to help if anything goes wrong and willing to discuss the game and pretty much anything else.This pack is an excellent deal as you're getting the complete series - 5 games, all in one. When I finally accepted that my original CD's needed replacing this is the version I went for.The only downside is that there is no manual included with the pack but between the in-game help and the volume of information avalible online (Creatures even has its own Wiki) you don't really need one.

Creatures 1, 2, 3/DS and Village were four truly captivating artificial life experiences. From hatching the first cute and furry little Norn in the forest world of Albia to watching them adapt to life on the Shee Ark in space, it is a wonderful journey. The landscapes and ecosystems, the music and the Norns' own adorable spoken language all add to the atmosphere. Definitely a series for all ages.Note: The three titles in the Creatures Triple Pack collection for Windows XP -- The Albian Years (Creatures 1 + 2), Creatures Exodus (Creatures 3 + DS) and the younger Creatures Village (Creatures Adventures + Creatures Playground) -- have since been remastered separately for Windows Vista/7.

The first and second creature games i remember playing when i was a young lad, so when i saw this bundle i was keen to show my son. The games are just as fun and addictive as they ever where not to mention they play perfectly on my modern computer!
