It's always annoying when long-handled spoons bend or break when used for ice cream and many of those that are really meant for lattes, just buckle. So it's great to find spoons that are strong enough and solid enough to get ice cream out of a tub, straight from the freezer.Of course we know that the best ice cream or "gelato" comes from Italy, which is also the home of style for this kind of item. So it's no surprise that these look and feel even better than the photos. They are incredibly shiny and the shape helps with getting a good scoop of ice cream, as well as providing that distinctive look and style of Alessi.It's rare that an object seems to actually be perfect in both form and function

We love these and this is the second lot we have bought. There are the type of spoon that you can use all the time but still retain there shine and feel sooo good. Good weighting to each one and great for special occasions rather than using the normal dessert spoons. Don't think the box really suits the product as it's a bit basic and I think they should be in a lovely typical Alessi balck with red writing box that slides out but that's just my opinion! Bought them for £21 and think I have just seen them for £16 on Amazon so just get them!!!

I've been lusting these spoons for over a year, now I finally ordered them. They look adorable and are made from great stainless steel. I use the spoons for eating ice cream, cakes, stirring tea... You name it. I even eat cereal with them! I will probably order a new pack soon, so I would have 8. Also, I have been looking at other Alessi items, now that I know the spoons are worth the price.

Love these Alessi heart spoons - a bit different but stylish and tasteful. Have the small espresso spoons (Valentines Gift) already and decided to purchase the 'ice-cream' ones too. Could be used for anything. Very good quality, lovely design. Come in a nice sturdy Alessi box. As an excellent price, thinking of buying more from this range for wedding/anniversary gifts.

I bought the set of 4 spoons and gave them separately as gifts this Christmas. Everyone loved them and use them all the time. The quality is great and they stand out as being that little bit different. I also have one I use all the time and they are very comfortable to eat with. A highly recommended purchase.

It was a headache to choose them because it is a bit pricy but absolutely worth. It is a professional desert spoon. I thought a yoghurt will slide down but no, it is a joy eating with. If you looking for a latte spoon it is not your purchase because a handle is shorter. Amazing quality.

I already had these spoons and love them so much, bought them for my daughter as a gift. They are solid, shiny, beautiful to eat off and the shape gets into the corners of dishes. I keep mine packed individually so not to scratch them, you can see your face in the spoon!

This is the second set of these spoons I have ordered. The first set were so nice that a friend asked if I could get her some. They are really solid with a nice weight to them. They are my favourite ice cream spoons now, I can't have my Benny & Jerry's without them.

These are fabulous tactile spoons, lovely quality and get talked about for ages. I have bought a few over the last couple of years, I put one with a jar of home made preserves as a gift. Well, well worth the money, and the little coffee spoons to match are so cute.

These are quite special to look at an use. Not just a spoon! They were a whim as I had to deliver Xmas Dinner to the family for obvious reasons. They were expensive but they were much appreciated and I'm so glad I got them, one set for me too :)

Fantastic quality spoons. Great for puddings, flans etc as well as ice cream My ‘go to’ gift for housewarming, wedding, leavers, etc etc Good price on Amazon... around £24 in the shopsI use mine most days and they are fine in the dishwasher.

These are really popular with the wife - she loved them and has bought more to give to friends as an engagement present. My son wasn't quite with the "love" theme as he held it upside down and said it was a bottom spoon.

These spoons are a perfect dessert spoon. Very satisfying to eat off. Cute design and well made. I had one bought for me years ago and have since bought this set so that I can share the joy!

These spoons are the best ever they are really solid and look fantastic on your dining room table. They wash really well with no scrapes and would make a wonderful wedding gift.
