I didn't buy this product because I thought it was best creamer out there, I bought it to match the teapot, sugar bowl and other Alessi products that adorn a glass shelf that takes pride of place somewhere in my kitchen.If you're seriously thinking about buying this product my guess is you like it, you don't particularly care how well your milk/cream will flow but hope that it will function well enough to merit the price you're essentially paying for the aesthetics of Alessi and Michael Graves' design. Having said that, it pours cream elegantly; the spout design isn't suited to the combination of heavy hands and milk. So, either pour for your guests or be ready with napkins. And,

I'll make a plea - buy Alessi to use! I've amassed quite a lot of it now and can say with confidence that there's no need to be too precious about it. The build quality on this creamer, for example, is great. It's a very solid item that should last a lifetime. The beauty of it is its wide base - very difficult to tip over and well balanced in use - plus a truly iconic look. In the 1980s, I would've done anything for this jug! The only thing in my life then that was pale blue and dark red was the remnants of a 1950s kitchen in a thirties' house me and my husband bought. Then pale blue and red was synonymous with the lath and plaster ceiling above the kitchen periodically showering bits of plaster on the spag bol.

Tiny, cute, brilliant design, lasting good looks....... only holds a little bit of milk but perfectly OK for at least six cups of tea, so possibly in relation to the capacity of the teapot it's spot on. Yet another thing of beauty from Alessi.Have now got the kettle, teapot, sugar bowl and milk jug. Now just working up to buying the tray.

Goes well with the set but is really a creamer and not for milk. So you can't get much milk in there and have to take the bottle with you. But I forgive it because it's alessi!
