I was looking for a tea pot for daily use which are (a) enough for 2-3 people, (b) colourful and (c) easy to wash both inside and outside.Although it is slightly heavier than I have expected, this item really meets all the requirements and I am happy to have it in our house.{ Weight }As the product details says, it has a weight of 1.4kg, which is heavier than many teapots you'd find in the market. This makes me more cautious to handle the pot but good things are that no one has tenovaginitis in my house and that the pot is very good at keeping the tea/coffee warm.{ Colour }The colour makes me feel nice and cheerful especially when the weather is gloomy in the morning. The teapot matches up very well with the other simply colourful mags we've got (from John Lewis and IKEA, not from the Le Creuset).{ Practical: easy to clean }Most importantly (for me), I can put my hand in the teapot to wash the inside, which most of the teapot I have the problem for doing so.I want to give 4.7 star (round off the 4.7 -> 5) due to the weight of the teapot.Still overall, it works well, I like this product and am happy to have it with my us.

I own several very good Le Creuset kitchenware items, so I thought I would try this teapot when I needed to replace my previous one. I think it looks good and quite like the colour which differs from the usual cerise or volcanic Le Creuset items that I already have. However, the key thing about a teapot is that it needs to be practical to use. The key points are that the handle does not conduct the heat from the pot, and therefore as long as you're careful you're very unlikely to burn yourself when handling this, particularly as it is not particularly heavy either. The lid attaches securely and comes off easily, while the top is nice and wide so it is easy to insert and remove tea bags. The spout is well designed and drip free. The 1.3 litre capacity means that this teapot will easily hold five decent sized cups of tea, and will keep the tea warm for a fair while as well. There's not much else you can say about a teapot, but this one is certainly everything you'd want a teapot to be in my opinion.

We are big tea drinkers in our house. So we wanted a teapot that would cope with the challenge. Six cups? Yes, if you are talking teacup sized cups, that could be said to be true. It is certainly not short on capacity. However, its not six MUGS worth, so be aware of that. When filled, it is a heavy thing to be moving. It is stoneware, so sturdy and solid, but if you have problems with wrist mobility, you might want something a little more lightweight to do the job.Being equipped with fully functional wrists I have no such issues however I did note that when used with a teacosy the handle gets ridiculously hot, so have a teatowel or gripper handy for when it is time to pour. The colour is lovely, much richer than the image would have you believe and I think its a great product - but I would be doing it a disservice if I didn't point out the factors that may sway you against it.

Was looking for a replacement for our much loved, old and very well used Le Creuset teapot as it had some very large cracks on the base (no fault of the teapot, hubby had accidentally put the cooker ring on under it on more than one occasion!!!). Delighted to find this teapot, in the large size, on sale at a very good price. We're a tea leaves only household and often find teapots drip, or are not large enough to hold enough tea for two giant, hubby-sized mugs. Our Le Creuset grand has been the only one which ticks both boxes, so it was a no brainer to go for it again. And I love the colour, which isn't really "cerise" but more of a dark red into lighter red kind of shade.Came perfectly packaged and has already been used and commented on. :-)

We had just bought a realy nice new red kettle, and i wanted a new red teapot to go with it, a lot of teapots have quite small openings, and my partner got his hand stuck in one when washing it up LOL, I saw this one on Amazon and instantly was attracted to not only the beautiful colour, but also the nice wide opening, the fact that it is drip free , also it is a good size , holds 5 mugs of tea at least, I am really pleased with my purchase , my partner thinks it is fab also, we have now ordered the milk jug to match, and will probably order the sugar bowl and mugs later, also arrived very quickly, and great not to have to pay any p and p,thanks to Amazon very happy with my first ever order from them.

Is it practical? An overwhelming yes. Its handle is well designed giving perfect balance and grip while protecting your hand from the heat of the pot. The spout is drip free and perfectly angled for pouring so there is no need to hold the lid. It comfortably holds enough tea to fill six le creuset mugs (large). Does it have aesthetic appeal? An overwhelming yes. I bought mine in volcanic orange complete with lidded sugar bowl and jug and six large mugs. In a large but dark Victorian kitchen, they light up the gloom of a winter's day and beg to be used. William Morris said: Have nothing in your home you do notknow to be useful, or believe to be beautiful. This product realises both his criteria.

This is a good size (4-6 cups, depending on your cup size) teapot which looks great. The only downside is that the phrase 'stoneware' and description of 'Very strong and durable, resists chipping, cracking and staining', which I have to disagree with. This may be marginally less prone to cracking and stains but the top handle broke off and the inside edge chipped. Both were the result of dropping the lid so totally my fault but it wasn't from a great height at all. However, when it comes down to it the proof is that I liked it enough to buy another one and will be treating it a bit more gently next time.

this teapot is excellent. it has a decent capacity (pretty much 4 mugs of tea) and has a fantastically shaped spout (meaning less tea is spilled/wasted which means less wiping up/stains). very speedy delivery and there is no fear about the crockery getting damaged during transit as it was VERY well packaged (the teapot came in it's box, which was in another box, which was in a larger boxed stuffed with packing paper to stop the smaller box moving about). the iconic Le Creuset colours look fantastic on this teapot, making it instantly recognizable as a quality product. i would definitely recommend!!

This is just a teapot, it has one job... however others I've had in the past have actually made quite hard work of just making a simple brew.Past ones I've had have suffered with everything from leaky handles, to those which get so hot you can't pick them up, to ones which at first seem fine until you try to pour them and suddenly the who table is covered in tea with barely a drop in the mug!So having a lovely looking, simple and elegant tea pot which just works and pours perfectly seemingly is quite an achievement, well done Le Creuset. I look forward to collecting the rest of the set.

I found this teapot in a list of the top ten teapots to buy. It was highly praised. However, it was not for sale anywhere in the US. I found it on Amazon, but was a little unsure about buying from the UK. I needn't have been. The price was below list, even with shipping, and it arrived super fast. I was shocked to find it at my gate a few days after I'd ordered it. Love it! It keeps the tea warm and makes enough to serve a few people. You will need to have cup strainers if you use loose teas. Everyone who has seen it has fallen in love with it!

I wasn't going to write a review on this tea pot until I went back and read the only other review on it!Unfortunately, I have had a similar experience to the other reviewer ... the handle on the lid broke off my pot too ... and I'd only had it a couple of weeks.I glued it back on and all is well now but it does look like that may be a bit of a design fault there.Having said that - even with it's glued handle, I love this tea pot and it does make a lovely cuppa :0)

I wondered why Le Crueset stoneware was so expensive but, having bought this as a replacement for a cheaper teapot, I can see the reason. It is simply superb. It screams quality and durability. The hardness of the external glaze is wondrous - any teas stains just wipe off instead of staining into the china as they do on cheaper teapots. It also pours well and does not drip. It is quite heavy but that's what gives it a rock solid feel. Overall, an excellent product.

I actually never drink tea myself but bought this teapot as a birthday present for my wife. She was delighted, but that's no reason to award five stars of course. The stars I gladly award to the teapot itself: it's sturdy, has a nice 'heavy' feel to it, keeps your tea warm for a long time (or so I'm told), and - last but not least - looks splendid (in my personal opinion most of all in this classic Le Creuset volcanic colour). The teapot to end all teapots!

I am so fed up of dripping teapots, so it is such a relief to find one that doesn't drip and the lid doesn't fall out. This teapot makes 4 large mugs of tea, I use 4 or 5 teabags as we like it strong. Its easy to clean, I just pop mine into the dishwasher once a week, but it is really easy to get rid of stains with a quick scrub of a dishwashing brush. Most important of all, it looks really attractive, especially when I use it with my teacosy

I've previously bought Le Creuset ceramic ware and found that it is often too heavy. This teapot is not at all. The handle does not get hot when the contents is hot and the spout rarely leaks. The lid is wide enough so that I can fit my hand in to clear it thoroughly. It does not keep the contents hot for a particularly long time, but without a cosy I don't think you can really expect it to. Overall I'm really happy with my purchase.
