I've had the AP signature perfume in the past and I do like it, even though it's a bit heavy for day-time wear and smells a bit...1980s-ish?The AP Petale Noir, while being very different to the AP signature perfume also has similarities that make it a definitely related fragrance, if that makes sense. It somehow manages to be both light and heavy at the same time when you first spray it on.However, it's definitely more floral and less sultry bedroom. It's described as an Oriental fragrance that was launched in 2012. I'm not going to go into all the fragrance notes here, because there's plenty of websites where you can read that, but it's quite a complex fragrance and the only definitive note I picked up was ylang-ylang - I thought I also found jasmin,

Utterly fantastic ALL ROUND!! I bought this for my lovely Mum for Mother's Day, she's absolutely over the moon with it & so am I!!Having purchased this lovely 50ml size 'Petal Noire' EDP by Agent Provocateur directly from Amazon (knowing that I'd be able to trust that it would be the genuine article). I have to say that I'm SO impressed & tickled pink with this little bottle of gorgeous-ness, the scent is beautiful & long lasting (it actually lasts very well for the whole day), the price I paid was FANTASTIC & truly superb value for money, particularly given that it's Eau de Parfum!!I thoroughly recommend you try it, either as a little treat for yourself, OR for someone you love...you'll be glad you did!!

Wow!bought because it was on offer but was a bit apprehensive with the 'oriental' description as I hate oriental scents BUT this was very much like a 'sister' of the original agent provocateur perfume can definitely tell the brand. Smells very French with peppery undertones,lovely unusual vintage floral but not girly girly but more sexy scent I LOVE it and it's strong and lasts all day. It smells of quality !!! It's just Beautiful (I'm 34 years old and this would suit any age from 20 to 100!!)

This perfume is a very indulgent and I have been stopped by people what I am wearing as the scent is very distinctive it also changes accent notes throughout the day so you will not be bored by the same smell through out the day it is strong and lasts the evening being strong it can be overpowering if sprayed on skin closely but a light spray from a distance of 30 cm is what I do or the spray into air above me and walking into the falling drops/mist great value beautiful presentation

Read the notes and a few reviews on Fragrantica about this perfume and decided, given the price, to give it a go.WOW! Very floral but deep, warm and intensely sexy. Excellent longevity (10hr+ on my very dry skin) and good silage. A plus point for me is that this is locally unavailable so I won't have the problem of walking into a room with half the women all wearing the same perfume as I am.Verdict: Great perfume but not one for the weak hearted

Omg......it's lovely!I love it! I have a few of the Agent Provocateur perfumes and apart from the 'blue' one I can honestly say they never disappoint!This one is new to me and it's gorjuss!! Not over powering, lovely soft scent, not sweet not too floral...will definitely be buying again and again!

I absolutely love this perfume. Top notes are lotus, magnolia, violet leaf, hyacinth, mandarin orange and bergamot, very sexy and classy, one of the best perfumes ever. I don't normally like sweet perfumes but this one is just so feminine and sensual that for me it is definitely a winner!

I purchased this as a 'I hope it lives up to its expectations as an Agent Provocateur product' gift for my wife and she loves it. It smells of flowers 'very floral' and indeed does smell good indeed. I do recommend this if you like the floral type perfume.

Surprisingly delicate, I love this scent. I hadn't smelled it before I purchased it and thought this might have been a bit of a risk because I hate deep scents but this is so light and youthful. Definitely recommend to anyone.

Not for the faint hearted maybe, this perfume is heady and strong. A little goes a long way but it's unique and very aromatic if you like perfumes that don't smell of fruit and vanilla. The bottle is gorgeous too.

Absolutely love the smell of this perfume and it last as well the only slight but nothing major was the small metal clip holding the tassels its a bit fiddly. other wise its still amazing and a very pretty smell.

Like this provocateur parfum with subtle tones of rose and sensual orient sandalwood/spicy the only hint is that don't last half a day, would have given 5 star and buy again if only I could smell it all day.

This arrived very quickly. The perfume is very flowery and a bit over powering when you first put it on but once it's settled its quite nice, very delicate and it lasts. The bottle is really pretty too.

I love this perfume for any every day perfume. A bit unusual, with good staying power. I have received many compliments about the fresh, floral smell. V good value for all of this, I reckon.

I bought this perfume for my daughter-in-law for Christmas not knowing which perfume she liked. She was delighted with it as it had a nice fresh scent as described in the advert.
