My husband bought me a bottle of Acqua Di Parma Iris Nobile for Christmas and it quickly became a firm favourite. Don't be misled by the idea of a simple floral perfume because it's certainly not that. Nor is it shy. You really do need to use this perfume sparingly because it's a sweet floral blend with a BIG personality and makes quite a statement...in the nicest possible way.Iris Nobile opens with intense, beautifully balanced sweet, fruity top notes. After a while on the skin there's a change to the sweetness as a rich, creamy fragrance begins to build with notes of patchouli and musk softening the fruity florals. The longer you wear this one the more it seems to develop and deepen but it remains fresh on the skin and rarely needs refreshing.An elegant,

9 years ago I tested this perfume in a premium perfume shop on Bond street, few minutes after spritzing the tester around my neck walking in the streets of London, the fragrance gave arrogance to my walk. I felt good about myself. It almost took me into a breezy but pleasant winter night with open sky full of stars and trees wrapped in lights. The fragrance unfolds top notes of Bergamot, Mandarin and Star Anis evolving into rich, intense heart notes of Iris and ylang-ylang with subtle warm base notes of Patchouli, Amber and Vanilla. This is definitely not the fragrance that everyone can handle. In other words not everyone will like it. I am in love with it though!!!
