My first time with a piano, and this keyboard is all I need at the moment.I didn't want all the extra teaching tools and multiple functions which just get in the way of learning to play. The sound is very good to this untrained ear, and the response from the keys seem to be exactly what one would need to start learning to play. The headphones it comes with are frankly cheap and uncomfortable, I have a pair of Senheisers and I had to buy a headphone adapter jack to connect the 3.5mm plug. It seems to not have too much volume, I have to play with the volume on max and it is just about acceptable. Apart from that I would have given 5 stars.Anyone seriously wanting to advance their learning will probably want to move on from this keyboard in a year or so but for first time use it is very good.Especially at the price, as the product came with stand and seat, so very happy really.Read full review...

I am a professional musician and I use this keyboard when travelling to different locations to run workshops and lead choirs. It is very portable and easy to set up. It comes with a music stand and can be run from mains power or batteries. The only thing I would improve about this instrument is the volume/output.Although the speaker sound is adequate in a regular size room it isn’t loud enough for larger spaces or churches. Particular when people are singing. However it can be plugged into external speakers via the headphone socket, so I work around it by bringing a portable speaker.I have had this for over a year and use it 3 times a week for workshops, and it gets used at home between times.A good investment for both amateur and pro on the move.

Good points - portability its light enough to pick it up with one hand , 61 keys is practical enough and it's not too wide at all. Sound quality of main piano is pretty good, other voices average. Low wattage but adequate enough can run on 6 small aa batteries. Doesn't come with sustain pedal but worth getting one. Keyboard action is keyboardy and not weighted at all. Ideal for structured practise while away from home. Early stages of Learning a new piece, fingering, basic rhythm of piece etc, good low cost, portable, piano style keys, small, light, record function, can use batteries and headphones for private practise.A bit lacking for a performance but great learning tool where portability is required

Was looking for a good 'keyboard' for my young teen daughter, and nearly got caught out by cheaper synths that don't offer touch-sensitive and near-full-size keys. This one does - it feels very much like a 'real' piano. My daughter wasn't worried about the fact that it has only 10 sounds compared to the hundreds of sounds offered by other keyboards, whether cheaper or more expensive. One of the reasons for this is the sound quality - the piano sounds from the onboard speakers are just terrific. It sounds great, it plays brilliantly - thoroughly happy with our purchase.

Lovely looking digital piano, very classy. Authentic sounds. Volume may not be enough for some but it's great for playing at home, you do have the option to run it through a sound system if it's a big issue for you. Super light, compact and very portable. Touch sensitivity is excellent. Extremely happy with it.The keys aren't weighted which suited us as portability/lightweight was a priority, this might be a downside for some however expect to pay a lot more for weighted keys.Overall, exceptional value for money!

Bought as a present for my wife and she is over the moon with it. She says the sound is great and the build quality of a very high finish which is what you would expect of Yamaha, even though it is not up at the top of their range of digital pianos. The keys, she says have just the right 'feel' for her and will now wants me to purchase a sustain pedal to go with it. I would recommend this for a starter or someone just going back to the piano because of the very reasonable price and good brand name.

Bought this piece of kit as a complete beginner and I must say, I'm very impressed. The keys are not fully weighted as you would expect on a proper piano, however they do have nice feel to them and feels extremely well made. Deceptively light at 6KG and the low profile is very appealing. I'm already learning the basics and after a week of playing with it am very satisfied with the purchase. 5/5.Remember to buy a sustain pedal

This was bought as a gift for my partner who wanted a larger keyboard for music production and composition. He originally wanted only a midi controller, but after discussion, we decided upon this model as it can be used as a standalone electric piano too without having to be hooked up to his laptop and Fruity Loops. As a bonus, he's finding it to be a great distraction method to help his anxiety.

The piano sound was not quiet as good as the Hype. But a good all round first touch sensitive piano for learning on. Was brought for Grandson whom has been playing on a non sensitive keyboard. Have not yet brought pedal so cannot say what that is like. The adjustment settings did seem to increase the volume but I would have expected it to be louder

My Kids piano teacher gave this model for her classes. The product arrived on time. The adapter to use on to the wall socket helped me in buying frequent batteries. My kid absolutely loves this piano. My next product P45 and as it was little expensive for my budget and I went for this model.Best piano to start with for the kids andfor beginners.

I have just started to learn how to play the piano and this is great! I love the minimalist look it has and it isn't covered with hundreds of different sounds which make no sense. It has a decent sound quality and the touch-sensitive keys are very responsive and make playing the piano have a nice feel.

Sure I think it's great. It looks sleek, has only a few buttons, and plays fine. But for £160, I really do wonder what justifies the price tag. It's cheap plastic everywhere, and the keys feel hollow. As I'm just starting, sure this will help me learn a good 90% of what I need to learn.

It is a very good keyboard for my daughter to take ti Uni as she cant take her piano. It is touch sensitive and has 61 keys. The volume doesn't go very high, I guess this will require extra speakers. Overall very happy with this and delivery considering the chaos was very prompt.

As a beginner I was looking for a keyboard with a brand name I could trust. I spent many hours looking at reviews and I was not dissaponted.Great sound, keys are really nice to press and feels and looks top quality. I play for an hour each day and I love it.

Bought for my seven year old son who is learning piano. We didn't want a keyboard with lots of distractions like drum beats and a million different sound effects. This is perfect, it sounds beautiful, it looks beautiful and we're really pleased with it.
