Well made with a metal casing, plenty of routing options for its small footprint, low noise, bus powered and so far pretty solid low latency ASIO drivers (made by Steinberg) tested in Ableton 9.6 on an Intel i7, Windows 7 laptop. Plenty of gain to power headphone and monitor outs. Desk can be used when laptop/computer is off if one of your USB ports has an 'always on' port. This is cool if you want to utilise the mixer for other jobs that don't require the computer. Decent all round - well done Yamaha, perfect for tiny mobile studio.

This was bought for use in podcast production. It works well and can either be used with the computer audio added to the mix (if used with a playout system) or not if the system works with “clean feeds”.The microphone facilities are excellent (equalsation and limiting/compression) and it is compact and well made.For use with a computer and audio workstation software it is just the job.
