Great unit fantastic price, does the job wonderfully for me, but potential buyers should be aware of this key piece of information that may not be obvious without reading the manual:*You cannot use this unit as a standalone analog preamp.*The analog outputs are coming from the ADAT IN. There is no connection between the analog inputs (front) and the analog outputs (back). If you want to use this as a standalone preamp you must connect its ADAT OUT to its ADAT IN.That is not necessarily a problem, it is just an aspect of the unit's functional design that you should take into consideration depending on how you plan to use it.Besides that, it is a great device with a straightforward and intuitive design.Sounds great to me. Surprisingly low latency (negligible for most purposes). Looks nice as well. Seems well-built, except perhaps for the front knobs which seem a TAD flimsy, but hey this thing does the job of much more expensive units. For a home recording studio on a budget, it's a no brainer.Came with a sticker :)

Actually I think behringer is now a real great company . I remember when they first started off, they were kinda garbage, but Now I stand by behringer 100% . This product is unbelievable. It's a a great DI box, and mic preamp when you need to get your levels hotter to your recorder. I'm using it now to record my drums into a pro tools HD rig, and man did it come in handy. For 200 bucks, where are you gonna find another piece of equipment that will do what this does, no where . Ian so glad I purchased this pre amp.

I needed more inputs to record my band live using Ableton Live and my Motu 8pre. Setup was easy, just plugged in an optical cable and had to do very little software adjustments to get it working. While these aren't the best sounding pres, they do the job. The outputs can also be used to create separate monitor mixes, but I haven't fully explored that capability yet. This was recommended to me by a professional audio engineer as the best bang-for-your-buck, and I have to agree.

I was having trouble setting it up at first (didn't resort to the manual) but as soon as I tried using 2 TOS-link cables to the FCA1616, it worked perfectly. I believe that's because I am using it as a clock slave, so one line is for the clock signal, and another is for the return audio. Very happy with it.

Great clean sounding preamps in an affordable package. This is my secret weapon in projects. I've known many studios that keep these just in the bullpen waiting for their time. I use it to expand my Scarlett 18i20 interface and it works perfect.

With this Preamp I could add 8 more channels to my soundcard, using an optical fiber connection. And the quality and performance of the equipment is another proof that Behringer knows the right thing we need even with a reasonable budget.

Solid. Remember, 48 and 44.1 kHz sample rates only! Great for your road setup, or at home if you aren't an audio label snob. This is my second one, my latest has the Midas preamps, Good upgrade!

worked as expected to increase the number of inputs on my behringer interface. watch some you tube videos on how to set these things up because it's not exactly plug and play.

The most affordable way to expand your audio interface's 8 channel ADAT output. Has so far worked well in live performances with RME Babyface Pro.

This was a great addition to my Focusrite 18i20. It provides 8 clean preamps & new input, and required zero setup. Highly recommended!

I got this to inexpensively add 8 more channels of I/O, to feed multiple headphone sends, and works great for it's intended use.

Functions as advertised and sound quality is great. Clock is very good too, I notice no smear or jitter. Highly recommended.

Works great as an ADAT breakout for my UA Apollo. Literally plug in, activate the channels on the Apollo and its good to go

25.6.2019

We got this to extend out Focusrite interface, it works really well, and the sounds quality is pretty good for what you pay

Similar to the oder ADA8000. Occasionally, one channel develops a digital "hiss." Power cycling the unit cures the problem.
