The triple pack is exactly what it says it is, a collection of three of the highest rated and most downloaded Xbox Live Arcade titles all on one disc. The first is Trials HD, essentially one of those flash games everyone used to play during IT lessons where you guide a biker over obstacles by control his speed and the angle of his lean, but with a spiffy 2.5D HD overhaul. It has dozens of levels split into five categories by difficulty in which you try to achieve medals based on your finishing time and number of crashes. You're forced to start on the easiest tracks to get the hang of it but soon unlock harder levels, along with new bikes, using the medals you've earned. Each difficulty adds more mechanics like catapults and reverse sections as well as longer harder tracks. The great thing about this game is the lasting appeal; you need to master it over time, honing your skills so you can do harder levels. There are also tournaments (where you must complete a selection of levels in a set number of lives) and challenges like climbing as high up a hill as possible or breaking as many bones as you can in a bail-out. You can also customize the colour of the rider and bike, but that's merely superficial. The second game is `Splosion Man, another 2.5D side scroller where you control a burning man through a labyrinth of test chambers using only your scientist given ability to `splode (that's explode to you and I) to solve the platforming puzzles, blow up enemies and even just jump and switch leavers. The game has 50 single-player and 50 coop levels (that can be played with 2 to 4 players). Whilst it can be fun in bursts and new elements are introduced over the duration it does suffer from quickly becoming repetitive. Another issue is that in coop it really does rely on all the players being competent, just one of you being less skilled can cause serious frustration. The final game is my personal favourite. Limbo has you in one of the darkest worlds (both literally and metaphorically) I have ever seen in a game. You are a small, big-headed child searching for your sister in Limbo. You have to platform, puzzle solve and battle hellish creatures using only your ability to interact with specific objects and your puny jump to do so. When you add the distinct visual style it sounds a lot like Braid; but where Braid was vibrant and colourful with cute enemies and brilliant backdrops, Limbo is entirely black and white and terribly hostile. It also has very little sound, other than those of your broken body. I can't remember the last time I played a game where I couldn't hear anything but this perfectly suits the atmosphere of the game. Now, whilst I'm aware there are scarier games (condemned for example) no game has ever produced such a brilliantly inhospitable yet tranquil world t my knowledge. The first time I died I literally jumped about a foot in the air. The buzz saws are also particularly gruesome and the spider must be one of the all-time greatest enemies in a video game. What it lacks compared to the other two is re-playability, once your done that's it really. It's also very short, but in the good way, it never feels stale or tedious, just brilliantly creepy. Whilst the other two games can be played in short sittings this one has a style much suited to a couple of longer stints. It had me saying "I'll stop after this puzzle" over and over again until I was finished.Sadly all three have a degree of trial and error to their gameplay which undermines the sense of achievement you get in their contemporaries. That said they will provide hours of entertainment, both challenging and fun all with a unique and enjoyable presentation. The Final Word: A great deal for a great price, not sure that limbo quite fits the style of the other two but then I guess it appeals to all types.

I have rated this 5 stars for the package. In my opinion each game is worth five stars in its own right, and I enjoyed each of them for different reasons. Just an overview:Trials:This little treat is easy to pick up and play. Controls are easy to learn but difficult to master. Graphics are nice and the game plays smoothly. Levels ramp up in difficulty, each progressive level offering some different kind of challenge. If you're anything like me, expect to die. A lot. The good thing is that levels have regular checkpoints which you can retry from, or start from the beginning. Also levels aren't so long that starting again feels like a grind. There are also mini games which add to the main game and each focuses on some kind of skill which can help in practising for the actual levels. I don't think there is an actual multiplayer on this one, which is the only downside but we had fun passing the controller and laughing when each other died in some ridiculous way (crushed, smashed, exploded etc..). Overall, lots of fun.LimboThis is an awesome little platforming gem. Limbo puts you creepy black and white world as a little boy. There is no great explanation as to why you're there or what your goal is, but as you progress you discover that there is one real goal: stay alive. The world of limbo is an increasingly hostile one. As you move through its bleak and foreboding landscapes you'll be threatened by a number of environmental hazards and other children. Imagine my surprise the first time I unwittingly walked on a bear trap, decapitating the character and sending his head sailing off into the air. Getting killed is part of the game however, and as (thankfully) restart points are never too far from where you died it is very much about trial and error, or rather trial and death. The game plays very smoothly and although sombre, the setting is nice to look at and well designed. Puzzle difficulty increases nicely and has you scratching your head at times but never seems unfair. All in all, excellent game.Splosion manThis game grew on me if I'm honest. I wasn't sure about it at first but the more I played, the more I liked it. Splosion man puts you in the shoes of an experiment gone awry (The titular splosion man). His power? To 'splode'.It is a nice 2d puzzle platformer which has you bouncing around all over the place, propelled by your own 'splosions' in order to open doors, activate platforms and whatever else needs doing to get you to the door for the next level. The multiplayer offers an interesting mechanic, sploding off each other in order to reach higher places or items. This requires careful timing and practice, but the game even offers you a countdown button to help with the timing. Still my least favourite of the three but by no means a bad game at all.For the whole package, you get three very nice little pick up and play games and with prices having come down since its release, I'd say it's well worth a play.

Relatively new to the XBOX360 and especially new to downloadable game content, I had not yet tried XBOX Live Arcade which is where these games debutted. Despite this, I had heard of Limbo, described as a truly innovative title, winning critical acclaim from gaming and other media. I was keen to try it and when I saw this collection here on Amazon and at such a good price, I was excited to give it a whirl. I can say simply that Limbo is in fact truly an innovative title. Played entirely in silhoette, the deceptively simply, but amazingly atmospheric game can make one feel genuinely uncomfortable at times. It is reminiscent of the eerie discomfort of stories like "Låt den rätte komma in" (Let The Right One In),namely the conception of a world that is quite askew and yet the narrative through it is slow and methodical. Stunningly realised, and very effective. What I was surprised by, was the other two games. Especially Trials, which out of the three I really was not expecting to enjoy so much. This is a fun and often quite laugh out loud puzzler with the element of balance thrown in as you ride your bike through impossible courses. Going in I had no expectations but have come back to it time and again to continue to work through the courses. Once again a deceptively simple premise, realised well and with both a sense of humour and also challenge to the player.Splosion Man also provides something rather unique in it's bright colourful manic style. Fiendishly difficult in places, this puzzle based game relies on not a little dexterity and quick reflexes. But the self combusting mechanic is rather unique to say the least. The humour for me was a little hit and miss, but the splosion man is quite endearing and his acrobatic explosive stylings rather spectacular. Each game is in its own right something very different and unique and well worth a look even if you think it is not your particular "thing" or "genre". Each offers a slanted perspective on the "puzzle game" genre. In short it is an excellent collection for anyone to discover something new and quite different and to see some quite magnificent craft, most especially at this price.

This is an absolutely essential buy for anybody who enjoys platform games, included on the disc is Trails HD, Limbo and Splosion Man.Trails HD is motorbike stunt game, the aim is to complete the obstacle courses in a certain time, as you progress the courses become increasingly difficult, the bike controls are a little tricky at first but you get used to them after a while, the game is incredibly addictive and has great replay value.Splosion Man is more of a traditional side scrolling platformer and probably my least favourite of the three games, it's not a bad game or anything, I enjoyed it for a while and it has a few unique ideas, but I felt it became a bit repetitive after a couple of hours.Limbo is again a more traditional side scrolling platformer and in my opinion the best game in the collection, you play as a young boy who goes searching for his lost sister, along the way you have to avoid traps and solve puzzles to progress. The noire art style is what makes the game really unique though, it looks incredible and makes you feel that the boy is in a really dangerous place. The collection is great value and one I can highly recommend.

Bought for my dad for Xmas, as he loves platform/puzzle type games. He has so far only played Limbo, but it's a very well made, simple game, with interesting design. There is a morbid humour within the game as you play a 10 year old boy walking through a woodland full of shadow dwelling, creeping, slithering monsters that just want to eat you, along with gruesome traps and ghastly deaths. Some of the solutions to the puzzles are very morbid, for example, to get across a lake, you use the corpse of a child as a stepping stone. Very good concept and interesting game.

Trials HD is addictive, a player could risk to play it too much, trying to beat a friend record. Contents are massive, with many different difficulties and challenges. The only problem is that it's really really hard to finish, the most advanced tracks are definitely impossible to complete for the average gamer, who will need to put a serious effort to learn all the tricks.Splosion Man: i just tried it, it's a nice and funny game that manages the most simplistic control scheme ever but allowing the player for crazy evolutions through a clever design of the levels.

The star of this collection is Limbo, which I only found existed watching Nutty Lamb on youtube. This is a very clever and well designed game for all ages with some very tricky bits along the lines of tomb raider. If you are into C.O.D and Halo etc this should still keep you gripped to the screen and not wanting to stop playing. It is a very moody ,black game where a small boy has to pass through a wood but its a classic that no gamer should be without, and the other two are well worth playing. A game not to miss out on now you know it exists.

Basic left right controls on the D pad or joy stick, combined with accelerator & brake button controls.Just get him from start (left) to the finish line (right) as fast as you can.Gold silver & bronze medals to be won, as well as bike upgrades.Even when you crash, it's GREAT fun watching the guy flap about all bust up! :o)

First of all let me admit I have not tried Trials HD yet, but the other two games are great! I usually play splosion man together with my girlfriend and it is absolutely hilarious. Limbo is just a fantastic adventure and is able to suck you right in and not let you go untill you're finished. Very glad these great titles were selected to be combined into a retail game.

Great package for great price!Trials HD is sooo addictive, Ive enjoyed numerous hours so far from this little gem that is quite simply a must-buy IMO!As said by others tho, beware, this cannot be installed to play from your HDD. So the sound of the disc spinning is very annoying to me as I install all my games to hard-drive to play with no noise/vibration :(

This game is great fun and has kept me and my boyfriend occupied for many hours. All three games are exciting and cover a range of different game types. Have looked in many other stores and can't find this boxset at a better price anywhere infact this game is roughly half the price of anything else we have found. Arrived well within the delivery estimate.

A must buy even if you only want one of the games from this collection you're better off buying it in this pack than on the marketplace. To buy all three at the time of this review on the marketplace is 3200 points which is about £28. All three games are great and I only picked this up for Limbo but Trials is amazing and Spolsion Man is also quite good.

I was reccomended this game from a friend stating "its the most basic game since the spectrum days, but its so highly addictive"! He was right i cannot leave it alone and its also helping my 3yr old with hand to eye coordination, hes even beaten my highest score!!! I would recommend this to all gamers for some fun entertainment!

Trust me when I say that you cannot go wrong with this triple pack. It's 3 amazing games for the price of less than one, in most cases. Was disappointed with Amazon as it took a very long time to ship out. Nearly 2-weeks, I believe - even though the item was in stock. It's £[] for THREE quality games people. Get on it! :)

30.3.2013

The games are great and I'm enjoying them a lot, but it only gets four stars as the box and packaging etc is all in Spanish, no where was it said this was a spanish version. It may work on UK consoles but just like Tescos and Horse meat regardless of it tasting nice I want to know what i'm buying.
