I found this one of the better MSTS add-ons with good scenery, lineside structures and buildings though not quite as good as that offered by the Cambrian add-on. The route continues onto the main line as far as Taunton, but it is a pity that there is no scenery or buildings on this section which would have made it really fantastic and worth paying extra for.The Manor and Hymek locomotives are fairly good with the Manor cab details being among the best I've seen for MSTS locomotives. The DMU is very poor, particularly the cab view, but if you have the Cambrian add-on you can always use one of theirs, which are excellent.I like the deepness of the snow when running in winter,

another addon for microsoft train simulator..MSTS getting very old now - was released way back in around 2002...the addons for it have been regularly released during the following years - i think european bahn -one of the last publishers of these games may have ceased a few years ago but the addons are popular and always appearing on auction sites and even some on amazon may still be new boxed games..this one as case shows has some old steam trains to control...if youve played any MSTS then you'll already know theyre much more challenging than diesel/electric which are mostly stop and go..these have lot more keyboard buttons for all the steam levers...but thats the fun...ive labeled my keyboard

The WSR add on truely is a work of art. Any rail enthusiast with MSTS should own this add on. All stations are modelled very acurately, with detailed scenery around the whole line. Every village and town has been superbly recreated. The route is definitely a challenging drive and will keep you occupied for hours. The reason i only gave this 4 stars was the lack of stock. In theory only 3 new driveable locos were created [Manor, Hymek & DMU] with an extra reskin of the Hymek and Manor included to give a bit of variety, a slight let down as there is a lot of locos to choose from which are based at the line. However the rolling stock included is very varied and modelled to a high standard such as wagons,

This add on is one of the best add ons iv ever played it has 2 steam locos and 3 diesel and the graphics is fab the sounds of the locos sound so real i could not stop playing it i like the 20 activites some are hard some are easy i like playing the passinger runs so i think you should biy it. it will not let you down

Being a Guard on the WSR, this simulation has helped me with route knowledge and experience of being a guard without actually being there.With MSTS you can select different locomotives and the Flying Scotsman steaming up Crowcombe Bank is amazing viewing.

My train crazy teenage son loves this. Having been on the Somerset Railway a few times he loves the fact that he can identify real places.
