After many years of using Parker ballpoint pens, followed by a brief flirtation with Sheaffer, I discovered Waterman Hemisphere pens. They're fairly slim but still offer a good, well balanced weight, and the ballpoint refills are simply the best I've ever used, being ultra smooth and very long lasting. I've always kept two of them on the go, one with a black refill for official documents, etc, and one with a blue refill just because it's my preferred writing colour.Sadly, one of my Hemispheres vanished - probably lost - a few months ago and was well overdue for replacement when this one popped up on a ridiculously well-priced Black Friday deal.

No downsides to this ballpoint from Waterman. Stunning looks(did I write that?... must be ‘lockdown!’) slim body and matte black finish, means the pen is easy to grip and comfortable to use for long periods writing. The pens’ fine point is just right for me, tho’ standard ink colour is blue, ordered black, fine refills separately... no problem... was bought as mate to the Hemisphere fountain pen & Hemisphere rollerball received as Christmas presents.This ballpoint is great. Cannot fault it. Its sheerness of finish, its gold trim ( not at all ‘flash’) and its smoothness of non smudge line is good for both cursive or italic hands.Highly recommended for personal daily use or as a gift as the Hemisphere range arrive in their own presentation box...

I bought this pen as a gift for a friend who is retiring and it was delivered swiftly in a nice, stylish presentation box.This Waterman Hemisphere Pen offers very good value for money, the pen exudes a level of quality far above that which its price suggests. I was a bit concerned that the gold highlights might look garish but they are actually very tasteful and set the pen off nicely. A medium blue ball point refill is fitted and is retracted and extended by twisting the barrel of the pen. The mechanics feel smooth and as though they'll last forever. The pen is lovely to hold and well balanced with the diameter feeling just right (some pens are too slim to hold comfortably). Finally,

I initially intended to purchase a Parker Jotter ballpoint, but although they are a robust pen they've become less desirable 'cause of the many given away free on TV for applying for life insurance etc. I wanted something with more class and was immediately taken by the Waterman Hemisphere in chrome.It arrived in a very smart presentation box, and soon as I picked up the pen I was impressed by the quality feel to it. It's a nice size, not being chunky but still retaining a decent amount of weight to let you know you've invested your money wisely. It came with the standard blue refill, but I'd ordered a replacement black Waterman one which was fitted with ease (I prefer to use black ink).As I was delighted with this pen,

I bought this as a gift for a friend and they were delighted. This pen is like a Mercedes or Audi - it has an understated look of quality. In terms of diameter it is easy to hold and is well balanced - the writing is silky smooth too. It features the signature Cross "twist" mechanism to extend and retract the ballpoint which requires a deliberate action by the user - it can't be extended in your pocket by accident. This desirable gift is completed by its presentation in a luxurious Cross gift box which makes it look as though it costs considerably more than it does. Hard to fault and easy to recommend.

I love Waterman pens and the quality is really outstanding much better than Parker, and unlike Parker, ALL their products are made in France, a lot of Parker products are now out sourced to the far east! if you are after a GOOD pen then I would recommend this beauty over any other, particularly if you are after a pen for gifting as the presentation case the pen(s) come in are just superb quality with a proper hinge, plush lining and a gorgeous velvet feel finish to the outside, the name Waterman stamped on to a ribbon across the top of the box...STUNNING!

I love this product. Here are the pros and cons:Pros:- The item is beautiful.- The item writes well.- The item is well-packaged.- The item was not damaged (flawless shine)Cons:- There is a small gap between the two halves of the pen as part of the design. I don't mind this, but some people might.Summary:This is a beautiful pen, and I would thoroughly recommend it. I personally use a thinner ball-point refill, which I had to purchase separately. The pen is activated by twisting the two halves of the pen in opposite directions.

I bought three of them so far. Bought the first one, gifted the second one. Lost the first one, bought the third one. I will probably lose this one at some point and then buy another one. Please never stop producing these, I need a constant supply.I've never seen a better ballpoint pen in my life and can't imagine one. It's elegant and sturdy at the same time, and a joy to use.People who hold it in their hands can't help but always complement my taste. And let's not lie to ourselves - that's partly what this is about, isn't it?

This is a beautiful pen that writes smoothly, is well made and sturdy. Not much more to be said. The twist-action operation operates well with no tendancy to retract - I have used this pen extensively every day for the last six months and it is working as well now as when it came out of the box and gives every impression that it will continue to do so for years yet. I find it compares very well to pens costing very much more without breaking the bank, important, if like me you have a habit of losing pens. Recommended.

My pen was delivered on the next day just about 10am - incredibly fast! It came in an elegant blue box - ideal for the gift. I am quite impressed by the quality of the pen. It looks "expensive" with gold trimmings. It also feel good in a hand. However, it is a bit thin. You can't obviously see it in the picture. It might be an issue for someone with bigger palms. The price makes this pen even more attractive to buy - it's half the price in comparison to WHSmith for example. It's a 5 star product in my opinion.

A little bit confusing with the delivery arrangements. Website confirmation said 'if out they would try a neighbour' but unfortunately my neighbour stayed in all day for me but no one tried her! Phoned Amazon and although the line was very bad and could hardly hear the gentleman on the other end, he sorted it out for me and it arrived with my neighbour the very next day. Apart from that I was very pleased with the quality, style and presentation of the pen and would definitely order again from this site.

I have been wanting a good reliable pen for a while now and settled for a Waterman ballpoint. I got myself this pen for my A level exams in the summer, and bought myself a black refill (only £3!)as this comes with blue. The pen itself has a good weight and writes smoothly and had actually helped neaten up writing. A refill will last you around a month of solid use and is definitely worth the buy (considering this pen is worth £60 from Waterman themselves).

I have always bought Parker pens, but when I needed a new one, I perused the ball pens available on Amazon & decided to purchase this Waterman pen. I am glad I did because it is an absolute pleasure to use. It looks more expensive than it actually is, it is lovely to hold & it writes smoothly. I can't properly explain the feeling I get when using this, it just feels 'right'. It's a fabulous item, & I am pleased I chose to break with tradition. Recommended.

I bought this pen in Jan 2017 and as I'm about to buy a refill I thought I'd write a review.The pen is a solid design, elegant and has a nice weight, I use it more or less everyday for studying and work, it's been through the washing machine twice and is still working as well as the day I got it.Over all, a solid quality pen a pleasure to use and would make a nice gift, I'd say I'd buy it again but unless I lose it, I don't think I'll need to.

I bought this for my son in laws birthday to go the leather bound journel I also bought for him normally I would have opted for a Parker pen but the ones that I was interested in did not get good reviews and this pen did so I went for this one and my son in law assured me it is an excellent pen and he is very pleased with it. So would recommend it as my son in law does a lot of writing and says it's a joy to write with.
