Terrible Wi-Fi connections, basic computer options unavailable, could only set up humpy dumpty as background song.I spent forever trying to connect with no luck, tried rebooting and checking bios but to no avail... although I do now know the entire words to many nursery rhymes. No 3.0 ports, the 5'inch display is stuck on the screen saver and I’m pretty sure that’s not a QWERTY keyboard.I had to count to 5 every time I powered it on, it kept on asking me to sing along and press the right colours when prompted... and I still couldn’t defragment the C:/ drive after all that.Customer service was poor, the kept asking if I had tried switching it off and back on again.Processing speed was ok, no delays.Mary had a little lamb started immediately and would not stop… for hours and hours.Tried getting onto task manager and was told to pick my favourite animal and colour, which didn’t help my situation in the slightest. Not user friendly at all!My Daughter on the other hand loved this.

This product is great for teaching your little one all about things around the house, going out in the car, basic geometric shapes and numbers. My son really enjoys playing with this and, when he isn't just opening and closing the lid repeatedly like someone with OCD in the freezer section at Tesco, he enjoys the lights and sounds that pressing the buttons or moving the mouse generate. That said, if you're looking for a family laptop that any age group can enjoy you will be sorely disappointed. This laptop has no CD drive, ethernet or USB ports, doesn't support WiFi and, regardless of what you try to search for, you get the same results over and over, either "circle" or "let's go for a ride in the car".If it's just for baby, great, if you want more functionality spend more money and get yourself a MacBook or something.

We bought this laptop when our son was 10 months old and at start he only banged the lid to hear "good bye". Now he is 20 months old and he likes to play with it, he switches between the modes, likes the sound a moving mouse makes and loves the flashing lights. It's quite informative as it teaches shapes, objects, describes some actions like "I like bouncing the ball", "Bath time is fun" etc.. and it plays 9 melodies and a short song pops up every now and then. Sometimes he just listens to melodies while playing with other toys and presses the buttons every time a melody finishes (we were amazed when we saw it for the 1st time!).Also the toy is very sturdy, it was stood on many times, thrown on the floor many times and it's still in one piece, not even a crack! Would surely recommend.

We chose this laptop because it is made by VTech, and usually you can rely on this brand to deliver a sturdy product with plenty of learning opportunities and this lil laptop was not disappointment. Since opening this laptop our son who is 15 months old has not left it alone. He is very into pressing all the button and listening to the voice on the laptop which is male, so this makes a change from the high pitched female voices we usually hear. Just like mommy and daddy laptop it has a mouse and multi function keys. The laptop received was not the one shown in the picture, but I suppose close enough to keep us happy, although we could of returned it as it was not what we bought so customer beware on that.Delivery was quick well packaged.

My daughter was bought this as a gift - at four months old it was her favourite toy. She loves flashing lights and the pattern of lights on the laptop changes depending on the buttons you press and even the order they're pressed in. It's a fantastic distraction toy - when she's grizzly or upset and a cuddle doesn't work, the laptop saves the day! And best of all, it has had so much dribble and vomit over it and it's still going strong. I don't think I would have chosen this myself but am so grateful to the people who bought it!Building blocks have a place, but this is a good addition to the toy box. Show me a parent that can be with their baby every waking moment. We have to pee too!

I got this for my one year's first birthday as her older sister (3) has the one up from this. I have found that both like this one and in fact they will swap laptops and play happily on either. It has large chunky buttons and dependent on which setting it is on it is either colours and shapes, the picture on the buttons which are all to do with babies i.e. bottle, rattle dummy etc or what the picture on the screen is which is to do with int he street or out and about, i.e. car lorry etc. There is even a mouse which is shaped like a mouse which is cute but it doesn't do much apart from move and squeak which in fact is pretty much all what a mouse does. very entertaining.

This seems a great product. Sturdy, interactive etcMy 9-month old granddaughter does play with it but she doesn't seem to like the bright lights inside. She presses a button & immediately slams the lid closed & watches the lights through the lid!!She doesn't open it again but when we do it for her she repeats the processUnsure whether she likes it or notUPDATEShe is now 12-months & plays with it constantly. She always thimps the keys to have it playing the music. It has been a great buy for her entertainment & it has stood up extremely well to the harsh treatment it has been givenI definitely RECOMMEND it

My daughters have both had lots of fun with this, has a good variety of tunes & teaches shapes & emotions!I think it could possibly confuse little ones, as when you press the button, it says different things..For example.. You press the "triangle" It will then cry as there is a crying face on it.. So your trying to teach them shapes, but it will be saying something different..My youngest enjoys opening & closing it more than pressing the buttons but my eldest likes listening to what the buttons say & looking at the pictures!

Purchased this item when it was on offer for £8.50 which for me worked out to be a perfect budget birthday prezzie for my son. The musical jingles keeps him entertained because he loves music. Additionally there is the opportunity for him to start learning about shapes, colours and things in the home. I think it is a good item for toddlers to get them started on learning the basics, i,e. shapes colours and good for entertainment, i.e the added music, lights...

I bought this for my baby when she was 7 months (now she is 8 months old) and she enjoys playing with it although at this stage she only opens and closes it and has great delight in doing this. She also loves listening to the tunes. Pretty good value for money and it is portable. Price wise, I looked elsewhere and Amazon was the cheapest by far. There are two volume options which are useful and it switches off automatically when the lid is closed.

My daughter LOVES her laptop! It may be because she sees mummy and daddy on their laptops a lot but she can't get enough of this vtech baby laptop. The songs are catchy and not too annoying for parents, it has educational properties and is above all entertaining. We take this everywhere, especially on plane trips and in the car. Have used since my daughter was about 5 months and she's nearly one now, still loves it.

I bought this for our son when he was ten months old. He picked it out himself at a store. Since he likes to mimic me, he uses it whenever he sees me using my computer (he has a desk of his own next to mine). It has three modes: music, sounds/speaking, and shapes/words. There are nine songs in the music mode. My son is three now, and he still loves using this laptop to listen to the songs, and sing along.

He's obsessed with closing the lid on it but it keeps him happy! Has been dropped many many many times onto hard surfaces and all is still good so it's good in my books! He loves it anyway. Has taken his attention away from my mobile phone/tv remotes a good few times which is what I wanted to happen! Good distraction for babies who take an early interest in technology :P heheh.

It plays lots of tunes, has lots of flashing lights, buttons to press and all that is needed to keep a toddlers attention whilst older siblings play on a more grown up computer. It also is the kind of toy that my daughter keeps coming back to and she likes the handle which enables her to carry it around (her own little laptop!). A good present and well worth the money.

We bought this baby's laptop for our granddaughter's first birthday. There was a big smile as we turned it on for her & she seemed delighted with it. The idea was to keep her away from Mummy & Daddy's computer but I doubt that will happen. The toy is very sturdy, easy for little fingers to open & like all V tech toys excellent value for money. An overall winner.
